HairsprayBabe · 31/08/2023 16:13

Hello hello hello
Welcome to the September thread:
Our first full month and it is a fresh start all around, lets eat well, move more and get those scales on the run.
DS is starting nursery and I have a lovely dress to fit into for DD christening so there is everything to play for.
I am hoping to amass golden days aplenty and wave goodbye to those lindas FOREVER or until I decide to have another baby

My stats for the month:
SW 11lb6
CW 11lb3
GW 9lb6

Goal for the month - 7lbs off and fit into the dress I have bagged for DDs christening

Yeah I’ve felt a bit rough to be honest. Worse than last time in 2022. But the worst part is the cabin fever. Let me out!!!

Bananas1350 · 14/09/2023 07:11

Well. Does anyone check if their scales are working properly? According to mine I have put on five pounds. Which considering I only eat things that are less than 3% fat ( so no junk food, biscuits or crisps etc ) and eat only fruit and veg and roughly 1100 calories a day I don’t think that can be right 😂
i don’t cheat because i am on this diet for my gallbladder so any cheating of anything else leads to huge amount of pain. Think it’s time I got some new scales.

HairsprayBabe · 14/09/2023 11:07

@Bananas1350 I have to weigh on the same bathroom tile else I feel my results are skewed, could be real, could be insane who's to know!

@BitOutOfPractice are we supposed to get boostered again before the winter I lost the plot with knowing what the rules and recs after May 2022 were

10.12 for me this morning, this was after I drank my coffee and I normally hate doing that but I forgot. 3lbs so far this month not sure if I will make the 7 with only 2 weeks to go but I am so in the zone right now preens

I think elderly and vulnerable people are being called now (or very shortly) then it’s probably just going to be over 50s I’d have thought? Like the ‘flu vaccine? This variant seems more transmissible and I’m certainly more poorly than I was when I had it last year.

Bananas1350 · 13/09/2023 09:30

Okay. Ready for weigh in tomorrow. Have felt each week that I have lost weight. But not this week. I suppose it gets different the smaller u go? U don’t notice the big changes anymore.
my aim was to not have the fold in the front of my stomach. And that has nearly gone. So I’m happy with that.

I hear you with the food. At my heaviest my stomach started looking like a bum! Became an odd W shape. I will also be pleased when the stomach apron has gone. Well done!

BitOutOfPractice · 15/09/2023 09:15

good morning Slenderistas!

I have STS this week which I’m mighty pleased with since, with the wretched covid, all I’ve done is sit about and eat toast! 😬

BitOutOfPractice · 15/09/2023 09:16

In other news, I have just tried on the jumpsuit I optimistically bought a size smaller at the beginning of the summer and I think I could get away with wearing it!

jessie2023x · 15/09/2023 09:24

Ugh weigh in day today, only been able to workout one day this week due to children's new clubs. I have now figured out i can fit in a run on two of the three club days so should get better this week
01/09- 12 stone 8lb
08/09- 12 stone 6.4lb
15/09- 12 stone 5.6lb

Not too much off but heading in the right direction i suppose, need to be under or at 12 by the end of September. Got a wedding this weekend so wont be a good one food wise 😂

HairsprayBabe · 15/09/2023 10:43

great NSV @BitOutOfPractice I keep trying on the dress for DD christening willing it to magically be not tight some how.
Spanx shopping at the weekend I think
10.12 for me this morning, I had a big plate of fruit last night because I was feeling snaky that I probably didn't need but hey ho I have snacked on worse things

@jessie2023x well done on your losses, definitely in the right direction!

10.12 for me this morning, hoping for a few more lbs before next weekend but I remember the 10s being slow going last time - aiming for 10.9 as my next mini goal I think

Onwards and downwards :)

I love this as a goal. Mine drives me nuts! Also can't wait for mine to dissappear! Congrats @Bananas1350

Newbornmum · 15/09/2023 12:12

@BitOutOfPractice congrats on the jumpsuit and hope you're feeling better (really hope I'm tagging the right ppl re. the right things! Lol I'm on the app and can never remember who's said what once I get to typing a reply, sorry) 🌻

@HairsprayBabe I love the dress! Looks great already in the photos 💕.

I am awaiting the arrival of my bridesmaid dress atm for my own dress debacle! I have zero idea what size I am at the moment and wasn't about to measure to find out so it could go either way! I figure I'll need alterations made come what may as I'm so short 😢 Not sure how late I can get away with having them made though! Hoping to leave it as late as possible.

I weighed yesterday and was very happily surprised to see I made my goal for this week and am just into the 50s at 59.8kg which means I'm still on track to meet my GW by the wedding. Thank you to whoever recommended the nutracheck app. So sorry I can't quite remember who it was. I'm getting on with it much better than my fitness pal and it's a lot cheaper too. Hoping to lose another kilo this week 🤞

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend ahead! Any nice plans? Or nice plans for Friday night dinner? I suspect we'll end up going down the pizza route! Another aldi special! 🍕

BitOutOfPractice · 15/09/2023 12:37

I have a very quiet weekend on the cards as I was supposed to be away with my mom and sister visiting my aunt this weekend but COVID put paid to that.

I have a wedding I am aiming for too @Newbornmum (very well done on being in the 50s btw, that's brilliant!) - not a bridesmaid but it's my niece's wedding and I am very determined not to be fat for it.

Haven't been on the thread but updating

SW: 14st 10
CW: 14st 3

Suspect scales will not be so kind this week as I've been at a wedding and was drinking alcohol. I'm not having any in the house at all so this is only the third time I've been drinking in just over a month.

No UPF eating is going really well and the cravings just aren't there. Packed lunches for work are taking a bit more thinking about but that's all.

Disappointing on the exercise front this week as it wasn't great for childcare but this week is looking quite good. I do need a gym plan though as I'm fannying round a bit aimless when i'm in there, especially when I'm not really in the mood

wlv12 · 17/09/2023 18:18

Hi,

I’ve been having a read through and wondering if I could join? I’ve been CC since May 31st and it’s done wonders for me but I have missed a crew to go through it with!

SW: 13st 8.5lbs
CW: 11st 7.5lbs
GW: 11st

I am hungry tonight, I’m not sure why but nothing is filling me!

ShellySarah · 17/09/2023 19:52

Ive done really bad today but then my mum is terminally ill

wlv12 · 17/09/2023 22:43

I’m so sorry to hear about your mum. It doesn’t sound like you’ve done badly to me, getting through days when your mum is so unwell is enough. I lost my mum nearly 3 years ago, in her final days and after she died it was all I could do to make it though the day. My heart goes out to you.

Thank you. I can't bear seeing her knowing ...if that makes sense?

Haven’t been on for a couple of weeks. When I weighed myself on Sun 3 I was up to 14.9, (was 14.6.5 the previous day) couldn’t work it out. The following day I started to bleed mid cycle - had a bit of a panic, then went on Dr Google which said it’s quite common during first few months on HRT and discussed it with my Dr at 3 mth review. My actual period is due tomorrow so we’ll have to wait and see, still hoping to get down to 14 by the end of the month.
Been really good with keeping carbs low and protein high. Also kept on top of exercise - swimming, lots of walking with my dumbbells and been on my hula hoop. Whilst I haven’t lost that much weight I do feel my body is changing shape - my waist is starting to go in and my arms are looking slightly more defined.
@ShellySarah sorry to hear about your mum.

TodayForTomorrow · 18/09/2023 16:23

Bad habits today....

Due to aforementioned wedding weekend, I've done my usual Starve-Myself-Monday in an effort to undo the damage. I know this is stupid because it makes me more likely to binge this evening, so I need to make a filling but healthy tea.

As feared, scales are showing back to 14st 5 after being 14st 3 on Saturday. Need to not lose my head about it!

HairsprayBabe · 20/09/2023 08:06
