5st to loose, 26 weeks, 1:1 diet

Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

@Bumblebeebum23, @HippyChickMama and @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk you’re knocking it out of the park atm ! Well done ! That’s fantastic progress, particularly at this time of the year ! I think we have all bought ourselves some wriggle room for the next couple of weeks although I am sure none of us want to see the numbers going back up at all.
I was exactly 97kg this morning. I think I remember seeing 96. ? at some point in the weeks leading up to the pandemic in 2020 but that was the last time I did ! I was soon putting the lbs back on once all we could do was stay home… and eat !
Can’t believe this time next week it’ll all be in full swing. Stay strong- we’ve got this 💪🏻

Bumblebeebum23 · 18/12/2023 17:28

Thank you @Hurryupharry and well done to you too, great progress 👏

HippyChickMama · 22/12/2023 14:45

15st 3 today, total loss is now 2st 9lbs. Not sure I'll make my target of being below 15st by Christmas but it's close enough for me

Bumblebeebum23 · 22/12/2023 16:20

Well done @HippyChickMama 👏 that's a great loss 😄

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 22/12/2023 18:57

Well done @HippyChickMama

Hi all, I hope you have all had an amazing Christmas and New Year.

Is everyone up for continuing into 2024?

Full disclosure... I have been an absolute glutton over the holidays and dread to think what the scales will read tomorrow!

However, I'm back to work in the morning and determined to get back on a healthy track.

I will update you with the dreaded number in the morning x

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 01/01/2024 23:39

Happy 'New Year @Bumblebeebum23 Happy new year everyone.

My shockingly perfect husband lost weight xmas week. I know for a fact I did not! However I may well have met my fallback goal of not being any heavier at the start of January than I was at the start of December.

I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning, and let you know.

Then I'm up to begin all over again on the 5 stone in 6 month challenge.

Bumblebeebum23 · 02/01/2024 07:44

Yay , I'm glad you're still here for the journey 😄

So... the number was 13st 2lbs this morning 🙄 (+4lbs since my lowest Dec weight), not absolutely awful but not great. I'm annoyed with myself for going back into the 13st bracket after working so hard to get a 12 on the scales, but it is what it is!

I'm back on it today and ready for a healthy and happy 2024 x

SW: 15st 9lbs
CW: 13st 2lbs
TW: 10st

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 02/01/2024 11:42

@Bumblebeebum23 I'm back on it today and ready for a healthy and happy 2024 x Awesome attitude and a happy new year to you too.

@HippyChickMama @Hurryupharry Happy new year!! Hope you had a great time over the Christmas holidays.

124.0kg

Same as the middle of November basically, but I did have xmas and my birthday so I'm not going to let myself be too down about it. I was aiming for 5 stone (32kg) in 6 months and managed 4 stone (26kg). That's not a bad start.

Now I just need to do it again - New year new (6 month) plan
SW 124kg
TW 92kg

5 stone (32 kg) in 6 months.

Bumblebeebum23 · 02/01/2024 13:16

4 stone is amazing!

Here's to our next steps 😊💪

Hurryupharry · 02/01/2024 13:37

Happy New year @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk ,@Bumblebeebum23 and @HippyChickMama . So proud of all our hard work and achievements last year. You were all super supportive with our weight loss journey, and to me with my relationship break up!
I'm starting 2024 at 15st 7lbs which is approximately +4lbs from my brief low of 97kg a couple of weeks ago. I'm happy with this, I really haven't been giving any kind of diet my full attention for a few weeks. And I have been nowhere near the gym either so that needs to be reinstated asap.

So... SW-June 2023- 17st 8lbs
CW-Jan 2024- 15st 7lbs
TW - 13st
Good luck everyone !

ps - I'm happy to stay on here but original OP and others seem to be long gone and as far as I recall none of us are doing the 1:1 diet so should we start a new thread with our own focus and see who joins us ?

pps - new man still on the scene 😉

Bumblebeebum23 · 02/01/2024 15:17

Happy New Year @Hurryupharry 😊

I'm happy to join you on a new thread x

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 02/01/2024 16:16

Hi all...I've loved reading your posts...great humour with the ups and downs of this diet.

I'm just finished week 1 (1st weigh in in the morning).

I just joined Netmums so I could ask if I could join your tread to share the journey & hopefully cheer you guys on too?

Jo

Hiya @JoeyBK we have moved over to a new thread that started in the new year. I'm not sure how to link it, but it is called "5 stone 26 weeks - anyhow that works for you". You're very welcome to join us x

JoeyBK · 25/02/2024 21:30
