Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

Thanks for the tea and encouragement. I'm currently 15st 11 (starting weight was 17st 12), my next target is to get to 14st 12 by Christmas so we shall see

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 21/11/2023 13:45

wow @HippyChickMama well done for the 2 stone you've lost so far and kudos for setting yourself a good challenge pre-christmas.

My next mini target is 120kg but I really wanted to get to 118kg (which would be 5 stone in 6 months) a couple of weeks ago I was on track for that but now I'm not. Need to figure out how to get it back on track.

Bumblebeebum23 · 27/11/2023 07:39

Stayed the same this week (13st 3.5lbs). Bit annoyed with myself because I was 13st 2.5lbs yesterday, but after a long day lugging furniture about (moving work premises), I caved and ate a mountain of roast dinner and apple pie and custard!

Oh well, back on it today!

Hope everyone is doing well x

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 27/11/2023 09:19

down 0.6kg (just over a pound)
cw 124.5kg
next mini target under 19st (120.5kg) and 120kg is 20% body weight lost I'll need to improve my progress if I want to get there this year.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 27/11/2023 09:40

"ate a mountain of roast dinner and apple pie and custard!" sounds yummy, and well earned. It's the ability to start again the next day that's crucial I think.

It isn't really that I've been eating bad stuff the last few weeks I've just been eating a bit too much of it.

Bumblebeebum23 · 27/11/2023 20:48

Yes, you are right, and I've been much more focussed today.

Also pretty proud that over the last few weeks, I haven't resorted to emotional eating. I've had a difficult couple of weeks and previously would definitely have been reaching for the junk food! Small and consistent changes

Well done on your loss @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk

Morning @Bumblebeebum23 , @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk and@HippyChickMama I think we are the last women standing on the thread, maybe apart from those who follow but don’t post.
I’m doing okay, maintaining my loss and edging in tiny amounts down still. I’m going to try to make a bit more effort in the next 3 weeks so I have a bit of a buffer for Christmas and New Year.
In other news I have a date on Saturday 😬 it’s taken a lot to put myself out there after a horrible few months following my break up. I mention this in relation to weight loss/body image as it’s always at the forefront of my mind about what new people would think of me. I’m one of those people who would always be self conscious about my weight and felt others would judge me. Anyway, I will update after the date.
Here’s to a happy and healthy December. I’ve loved the support on here in the last few months. @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk I’m definitely up for the New Year thread 💪🏻

Bumblebeebum23 · 30/11/2023 18:15

Hi @Hurryupharry 👋 ooh congratulations on your date. Hope it goes well and you have a lovely time. It's great that you are feeling confident enough in your own skin to take the leap into the world of dating 💕
I'm definitely up for continuing on together into the new year 💪😊

Bumblebeebum23 · 01/12/2023 07:42

So, the end of November total is a slow and steady 4.5lbs loss.

I'm accepting that unless I really up the exercise or restrict my eating further, I am probably going to continue the pattern of losing an average of a lb a week now, which at the moment I am fine with. I am not in the mental space to be going full throttle, and to be honest, I am more likely to fall off the wagon.

On a brighter note....13st 2lbs today, so officially 2.5 stone down.

Now to keep focused over December!! 🎄🦃🍭

HippyChickMama · 01/12/2023 07:50

Good luck @Hurryupharry! I'm still here, have lost a total of 2st and 2lbs so far, it's only coming off at 1lb a week now but still going in the right direction at least

Bumblebeebum23 · 04/12/2023 07:45

13st 2lbs today (same as Friday....1.5lbs down since last Monday)

Mini target is to move out of the 13s before Christmas, but we will see!

NSV - I bought some size 14 jeans in blue and black and they both fit! (A little snug but definitely wearable) 👖😊

Hope everyone else is well?

Xxx

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 04/12/2023 08:52

cw 123.8kg

Bumblebeebum23 · 06/12/2023 15:13

Well done @HippyChickMama 😊

Bumblebeebum23 · 11/12/2023 07:53

Stayed the same this week 🙄 13st 2lbs. Was down to 13st 1lb for most of the week, but have eaten way too many carbs at the weekend. I'm getting the feeling Dec is going to be a month of trying to maintain as much as I can (losses a bonus) and then back on it properly in the new year.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 11/12/2023 09:27

Hey @Bumblebeebum23 'December will be a month of maintain'

absolutely, anyone who weighs the same on January 1st as they did on December 1st has achieved something even if it doesn't always feel like it. I've in pretty much the same position and have basically maintained my weight over the last 3 weeks and whilst my diet has been worse and my calorie tracking less rigorous I should still have lost at least a kilo of fat, but I've been going to the gym 5/6 times a week and I suspect I've put a bit of muscle mass on. This is not entirely based on wishful thinking as I'm getting stronger and you can see more muscle definition, but it's still very hard to measure of track progress when that happens.

NSV was going through old clothes, and found 2 old ankle length black jersey skirts which were a handy find as my 'new' ones are unwearable having reached the 'would fall down' stage of ridiculously too big. The18 genuinely fit me better than the 24, which I did not expect.

Bumblebeebum23 · 11/12/2023 13:08

What an amazing NSV @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk. I love the feeling of getting back into smaller clothes 😊 x

Jim Bean Dancing GIF

happy dance in progress, I've also bought a bunch of 'one size' wrap skirts. Would indeed wear in public but only with an underskirt🍻

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 11/12/2023 13:30

apparently wrap skirts with very little overlap can be a cool look though
