5st to loose, 26 weeks, 1:1 diet

Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

Hi still plenty as of Saturday I’ve lost a stone I’m doing well Thankyou hope you are also doing well xx

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/11/2023 09:12

sw 150kg
cw 124.7kg
tw 60kg

Down 1.5kg since last Monday. I'm hoping to meet my next mini goal this week which is 🔶124.5kg - 4 stone lost.

It's a pretty random musing sorry but it did occur to me that I had now lost the equivalent of a small sack of potatoes

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/11/2023 09:37

@SuffolkUnicorn I’ve lost a stone

Is that overall or since the operation? Either way well done, I think it shows that you're both really brave and really committed.

SuffolkUnicorn · 13/11/2023 09:58

Sleeved 6th Nov checked weight Saturday I’ve lost a stone so far

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/11/2023 10:06

that is astonishing wow well done. how are you feeling about it all? I think that there's a special diet you start off on are you on purees and drinks only still?

Sorry don't mean to pry or anything I'm just interested.

Bumblebeebum23 · 13/11/2023 11:58

Thank you @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk 😊 Nearly 4 stone! That is amazing! You are doing so well!

And @SuffolkUnicorn 1 stone already! Brilliant loss. Hope you are recovering well and getting used to your new way of eating x

SuffolkUnicorn · 13/11/2023 12:42

Thankyou bumblebee still on liquids for another week I’ve got 4 stone to lose to reach goal I’m currently 15.12 xx

SuffolkUnicorn · 13/11/2023 12:48

Hi stillplenty

Thankyou

its liquids for two weeks then purée I think that’s a week then mash I believe by 8 weeks I’ll be back to ‘normal food’

i have felt hunger but it’s head hunger surviving on hot drinks soup and protein drinks it’s honestly been alright

I feel better in myself I’ve recovered quick yes it was a lot of money but no way was I going abroad.

I had the op on the Monday back home on Tuesday

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/11/2023 14:22

Thanks for indulging my curiosity Suffolk.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better in yourself and agree it's sensible to have it done here if you're going to get it done at all. I will await news of your progress and gossip / reflections on your experience with baited breath.

Bumblebeebum23 · 13/11/2023 18:43

@SuffolkUnicorn, sure you'll get there on no time. My friend lost 9st with bariatric surgery and said it was the best decision she ever made 😊

I still have over 3 stone to lose, but trying to take it one step at a time. Small goals and consistency for me 😊 (I'm too much of a wimp to brave surgery or injections)

Main thing is we are all on the road to a healthier and happier life. Doesn't matter how we get there ❤️ x

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/11/2023 21:50

I think Main thing is we are all on the road to a healthier and happier life. Doesn't matter how we get there is spot on as an attitude @Bumblebeebum23 and awesome to hear surgery worked out so well for your friend. I agree I think @SuffolkUnicorn will lose the 4 stone in no time.

So you have 3 stone still to lose Bumble, & Suffolk has 4 and I have 10 (meh😣😶) I completely agree with this though - trying to take it one step at a time. Small goals and consistency for me. & this I'm too much of a wimp to brave surgery.

Bumblebeebum23 · 13/11/2023 22:03

@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk you've got this 💪😘 you are doing amazing things and your commitment and determination is inspiring 😊 you've already made such big changes and I'm sure you too will make your target x

Hurryupharry · 17/11/2023 10:02

Morning everyone, hope you’re all doing well. I’m on a plateau, self inflicted really because I have pretty limited self control and don’t seem to be able to break myself out of the chocolate and biscuits snack cycle at work! And whilst I’m still maintaining the loss my motivation to put in extra effort is non existent! I think I’m just going to have to accept that roughly where I am is where I’m likely to be until the new year. I don’t want to gain anything- obviously- so that will be my goal for a while. Plus life and Christmas stuff is also building up. Both my DDs have December birthdays so further workload there too!
Anyhoo… have a lovely weekend and well done to those of you persevering 💪🏻💕

Bumblebeebum23 · 17/11/2023 10:23

@Hurryupharry I completely get where you're coming from. This time of year is so difficult... I have 3 meals out this weekend, and that's only the start!

I think taking the pressure off but staying mindful is a great plan.

You've got this x

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 17/11/2023 10:45

It sounds like a good plan, @Hurryupharry if I don't hear from you before then have a lovely Christmas and a great new year. & if you do decide you'd like to lose a little more in the spring look me up ;-D if all goes to plan I'll still be here.

omg @Bumblebeebum23 meals out are so difficult to deal with without overeating 3 in a weekend is just wow. Good luck try to enjoy them.

Bumblebeebum23 · 17/11/2023 11:00

Yes, I am meeting friends/family for meals out on Fri, Sat and Sun! Not sure Monday's weigh in will be great! 🐷🤣

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 17/11/2023 11:50

Would you get away with saying you'll have the wine and cake hold the main course? 😘WineCake

Don't worry about Monday too much, remember even an excess of 700 calories is still only 0.1kg (or around 1/4 lb).

Bumblebeebum23 · 17/11/2023 14:35

To be honest, I'm not too fussed by wine or desserts, so if I'm going to ruin myself, I'd rather have a slap up meal!

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 17/11/2023 16:43

Makes perfect sense.

Bumblebeebum23 · 20/11/2023 07:50

13st 3.5lbs so half a lb this week. Not bad after a whole weekend of eating out. Hope everyone else had a good week x

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 20/11/2023 09:19

0.3kg (approx 3/4 lb) with no meals out
at least its a loss, time to take my own advice.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 20/11/2023 09:21

Well done @Bumblebeebum23 a loss after 3 meals out is actually pretty spectacular, I hope you had a lovely time with your family.

HippyChickMama · 20/11/2023 13:06

Hi again! I've been terrible at keeping up with this thread lately, I've been so busy. Hope you're all okay. I've lost a whole pound in three weeks! I don't know what's going on that my weight loss has plateaued so dramatically but I've decided that I'm going to cut back on carbs and see if it helps. I'm eating within my ww points but I've been eating a lot of bread based lunches and I do think I'm quite carb sensitive so I've had salad with tuna for lunch today and I'm going to stick with salad and protein for every lunch this week and see if it makes a difference

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 20/11/2023 15:01

Hi @HippyChickMama winter is hard, I swear it's like my body's going no stay fat you'll be warm and comfortable the whole winter through...eat the toasty toast.

Well done on your loss, no matter how slow your progress seems you're lapping everyone on the bench. Brew I award you a mug of tea!

Bumblebeebum23 · 20/11/2023 20:59

Well done on your losses @HippyChickMama and @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk. Every little helps 😊 however, completely understand the frustration. My weight loss has definitely been much slower over the last few months. Just trying to remember that each 1/2lb gradually adds up, and that it is a lot better than it creeping up!
