5st to loose, 26 weeks, 1:1 diet

Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

Thanks both 😊 and well done, @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk. amazing October loss!

I am definitely a little disappointed that my total loss isn't higher this month, but I am also reminding myself that it's a marathon, not a sprint! However, I would definitely like to be in the 12st bracket before Christmas, so that's the next goal.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 01/11/2023 19:28

just in case I confused anyone "Total loss of 4.1Kg just over a stone" I'm not sure how I managed to say that as it's not right at all.

1 stone is approx 6.5kg

Good morning lovely ladies, congratulations on your dedication.

I'm afraid my mindset is not geared to weightloss ATM, I will return when it is.

X

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 02/11/2023 08:54

totally fair @Willowview lots of other stuff is important and sometimes requires our attention.

Best of luck with it all.

Bumblebeebum23 · 04/11/2023 08:58

Take care of yourself @Willowview x

Bumblebeebum23 · 06/11/2023 07:38

13st 6lbs (and one 8th) this morning. So a very small loss again this week 🙄 less than half a lb! Feel like I have plateaued, and I'm getting frustrated with seeing 6lb on my scales!

However, I have fewer social plans over the next few weeks, so I'm going to try to be really focused and properly on plan. Hopefully, that will give me a bit of a reboot!

Hope everyone else is doing well? Xx

Good morning @Bumblebeebum23 you’re still trying and losing, even if it’s not exactly as quickly as you might hope. I think the change in season has definitely impacted a lot of people who are trying to lose weight. I was reading a couple of other threads and it seems to be a common issue. I’m definitely finding the same. The drinking lots of water and eating tons of salad has become a challenge ! And my willpower around chocolate is zero. I think I’m only managing to maintain my loss so far because other parts of the diet have become so embedded. I’m going to have to try to be more sensible about treats and push on as best I can.
Currently 15st 8lbs. Was hoping to be 15st by Christmas but that is highly unlikely now. Just to keep edging down will do me and reassess in the new year.
@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk how’s things with you?
@Willowview sending you love and positive thoughts.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 06/11/2023 09:22

Hi @Hurryupharry maintaining loss and getting new habits to feel so normal that you still do them even when you aren't concentrating so hard are definitely major nsv's to be recognised and commended.

@Bumblebeebum23 Every 1/2lb (or 0.1kg) counts, even if sometimes progress feels slow!

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 06/11/2023 09:51

Ok here's my update

SW: 150kg
✅mini target 127.5kg 15% body weight lost
✅mini target 126.9kg under 20 stone
CW: 126.2kg

I had a pretty good week overall I think - average calories 1183

I've lost 7.3kg in the last 6 weeks so the trend is 1.2kg per week
Loss last week though was 1.9kg so Yay! But the loss the week before was only 0.6kg so it is probably mostly just revision to the mean.

TW: 60kg - upcoming min targets:
🔶124.5kg is 4 stone lost
🔶120.5kg is under 19 stone
🔶120kg is 20% body weight lost
🔶 118kg is the biggie though, if I can do this before NYE it will be 5 stone in 26 weeks Wine💃

NSV I bought some new bras online that were by design the very smallest I thought I could possibly get away with. The one I'm wearing today arrived a week ago and although I tried it on when it arrived today's the first time I'm wearing it. It fits noticeably better than when I tried it on a week ago.

Bumblebeebum23 · 06/11/2023 21:15

Thanks both and well done 😊

My mum went home to Australia today, so hoping being back in my normal routine will help! Definitely due a bit of a loss now.

As always, I'm grateful for this group and your support. May well have thrown in the towel on previous attempts!

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 06/11/2023 23:02

I hope you enjoyed having your mum visit @Bumblebeebum23 but being back to you normal routine should make it easier to prioritise eating what you need to eat when you need to eat it.

Bumblebeebum23 · 07/11/2023 07:30

Thank you @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk 😊 it was lovely, but lots of social eating! (albeit mindful social eating)

I'm actually down to 13st 4.5lbs this morning, so 1.5lbs lighter than yesterday. Hoping it's the beginning of a good month 🙏

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 07/11/2023 09:27

1.5lbs lighter than yesterday.

Yup my body does than too I bounce around all over the place personally I'm a kilogram heavier than yesterday this morning. Trying to track how well you're doing on the scales alone can be far too frustrating, part of why I actually like counting calories as that's a thing I can control. I know I didn't overeat yesterday so when I see the number rise on the scales I'm just like

<div style="width:480px"><iframe allow="fullscreen" frameBorder="0" height="270" src="https://giphy.com/embed/vhuSRQK9Hj6fvF7aEo/video" width="480"></iframe></div>

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 07/11/2023 09:28

ok that didn't work quite as intended

Bumblebeebum23 · 07/11/2023 14:29

Yes, I am aware of the fluctuations. However, very pleased to see a drop after being stuck at the same weight for what feels like an age!!

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 07/11/2023 15:21

sorry I don't think that came out well I was more thinking to the higher reading yesterday than the lower one today.

I was feeling a bit down about being a kilo heavier when I should just have been saying congratulations

Bumblebeebum23 · 07/11/2023 15:47

@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk you're still right. I definitely go up and down along the way. That's why it's good to be able to look back over the bigger picture 😊

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 07/11/2023 20:12

💯right. I like to weigh myself every day and then just track the lowest and highest of each week. And then I compare this week's high vs last weeks high and this weeks low versus lasts weeks low. It's much more reliable and not too much pressure on any one time you stand on the scales. I can't be doing with weekly public weigh ins - my idea of hell too much pressure on something I can't really control.

SuffolkUnicorn · 08/11/2023 09:56

SuffolkUnicorn · 08/11/2023 13:17

Thankyou @Bumblebeebum23 🥰

Bumblebeebum23 · 13/11/2023 07:48

Morning all 😊

13st 4lbs this morning. So 1/2lb lost since I last posted (on Tues) but 2lbs since last Monday's "official" weigh in.

Sw: 15st 9lbs
CW: 13st 4lbs
Tw: 10st

Continued mini goals-

13st 2lbs (2.5 stone loss) - 2lbs to go

And then move into the 12st bracket

Hope everyone has had a good week x

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 13/11/2023 08:59

I think that definitely counts as 2lbs @Bumblebeebum23 so you're next mini goal is really close! Well done for your loss.

@SuffolkUnicorn thinking of you, how are you feeling in yourself?
