Hallo everyone,

Jumping on here as I have set a target to loose as much weight as possible before Christmas.

Starting stats
16st 2lbs
5ft 6
Age 39
Size 18

Due to other health issues I need a healthy BMI to qualify for a breast reduction and life insurance, both of which I'd like to have by 2024.

Target weight is 11st. Going to start on 1:1 when I'm back from working away next week so I can get my delivery, see how that goes for a couple of months.

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Xx

Brilliant 😊 I have to say it has been nice to fit into some of my smaller clothes and to feel more confident in what I wear x

@Bumblebeebum23 that’s fantastic, you’re doing brilliantly. It’s always great to break through the next stone barrier. 🌟
I’m doing okay, maintaining mostly although I think there is a slight downward trend. Currently 15st 5lbs. Definitely don’t want to see more than 15st 7lbs on January 1st.
In other news new man is still on the scene. He’s proving to be a very pleasant addition to my life.
Keep on keeping on everyone 💪🏻

Bumblebeebum23 · 14/12/2023 14:15

Ooo how lovely @Hurryupharry 😊 hope things continue to go well for both 🥰. Well done on your continued progress too x

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 14/12/2023 14:18

Woo Hoo @Bumblebeebum23 thanks for sharing that's really cheered me up.

Bumblebeebum23 · 14/12/2023 14:38

Thank you @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk 😊

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 14/12/2023 22:45

@Hurryupharry "He’s proving to be a very pleasant addition to my life."

Cheers to that!!!

Hurryupharry · 14/12/2023 23:07

Aww, @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk and @Bumblebeebum23 you’re very sweet. I hope we can continue our weight loss journey together into 2024. It’s amazing what a difference the company and positive support of others can make. 🥰

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 15/12/2023 10:27

absolutely @Hurryupharry I'll be here for quite some time still ;-)

new low this morning though so that was a little cheering. All progress is progress no matter how slow. My current targets for next year

End of Quarter 1 2024 105kg
End of Quarter 2 2024 90kg
End of Quarter 3 2024 78Kg
End of Quarter 4 2024 68kg

Bumblebeebum23 · 15/12/2023 10:45

Well done @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk 😊

I'm planning on sticking around, too. It definitely helps me stay on track. It's going to be nice to start the new year lighter than the previous year for once! Usually, I start January feeling fat, sad and full of false New Years Resolutions.

HippyChickMama · 15/12/2023 15:27

Yay to starting the new year off on a positive note. Well done everyone on your losses. I'm down to 15st 7 now, which I know is still 5st above where I want to be but it definitely feels like an accomplishment from 17st 12

Yay well done @HippyChickMama That is fab

Bumblebeebum23 · 15/12/2023 17:12

Brilliant @HippyChickMama well done 👏

HippyChickMama · 16/12/2023 07:39

Thanks both, here's to maintaining over Christmas ready to start again in January 🥂

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 17/12/2023 17:37

sw 150kg
cw 122kg
tw 60kg

I have now lost 10kg this quarter, and 6kg in the last 7 weeks. (10 kg in the last 11 weeks). 22lbs in 11 weeks makes an average of 2 pounds a week so my feelings of not making progress may not have been entirely rational / reasonable.

Whilst I am still 4kg (9lbs) away from the goal of losing 5 stone in 6 months, 41/2 stone really isn't too bad.

Bumblebeebum23 · 17/12/2023 18:15

4 and a half stone is absolutely amazing!! What an amazing achievement 👏 do you feel really different? Xx

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 17/12/2023 19:01

That's a little bit hard to answer yes and no. I now weigh less than I did 20 years ago, so there's definitely a I look and feel younger kind of thing going on.

I also feel more in control of my eating and diet than I ever have before which has got to be a good thing. I'm also going to the gym 5/6 times a week and can walk further and faster much more confidently which is making going places and doing things feel less intimidating. But I'm also still me and still really fat so I also haven't changed at all. (My mum and children still haven't noticed for example)

Ask me again when I've lost another 28kg

Bumblebeebum23 · 17/12/2023 19:17

Well, all of those things are brilliantly positive changes, and you should be very proud of yourself 😊

Although, I know I am ultimately the same person regardless of how much I weigh (and I wouldn't want it amy other way), I definitely feel healthier, happier and more confident than I did this time last year x

healthier, happier and more confident 😊

yes those things are awesome things to feel, and I feel them too. No doubt about it dropping from a size 32 to a 22/24 is a good thing. I just don't want to get too complacent because I want to do the same again in the next 6 months. But yeah I'll agree well done me.

Bumblebeebum23 · 17/12/2023 21:31

Yes, you're right. It's important to stay grounded and focussed because it is easy to become complacent. I've got to lose (at least) the same again, too, so must stay on track.

However equally important to reflect on how far we've come.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 17/12/2023 21:41

I completely agree, and I do sometimes need reminding to be more cheerful; so I genuinely appreciate it.

Reflecting on my targets for the first quarter is pretty exciting. I could reach the halfway mark! At 105kg I'll have lost 45kg and have 45kg to go, which is 7 stone and 30% of my starting body weight. So that's really is quite something to be aiming for.

Bumblebeebum23 · 17/12/2023 22:03

You are doing brilliantly, and your dedication and focus are admirable. I know I've said it before, but it really helps me stay on track to hear everyone's progress 😊

Bumblebeebum23 · 18/12/2023 09:14

Monday weigh in: 12st 13lbs

So after saying Dec was going to be slow, I appear to have had a bit of a whoosh! 3lbs down since last monday (1/2lb since I posted my weight on Thurs)

SW: 15st 9lbs
CW: 12st 13lbs
TW: 10st

Total loss to date: 2st 10lbs

Now, I just need to stay on track as much as possible over Christmas. Next mini goal is 3 stone off x
