I weighted myself this morning and I'm 14st 5lbs. That's a gain of 12lbs in the past 10 weeks - I'm disgusted with myself!!

I've been struggling to lose weight since DC2 was born 14 months ago. Nowhere near enough sleep, too exhausted to exercise and bingeing on crap at night when the kids are in bed.

We're going on our first family holiday abroad at the end of September and I want to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight (11st) for then.

I have 18 weeks to lose 47lbs, that's 2.5lbs a week. I've fired up my fitbit and intend on doing the following:

10,000 steps a day
1200 calories a day
Log everything in MyFitnessPal
Drink 2 litres of water a day

I've lost around a stone twice already this year doing faddy diets but they aren't sustainable long term and I've put the weight back on (plus some) when I've stopped, so I want to do more of a lifestyle change than a crash diet this time.

Anyone want to join me for accountability? I plan on weighing myself every Monday morning and will share my results here (even if no-one else joins, it'll hopefully keep me on track).

Ah, had a wee cheeky weigh this morning. 1lb on! I know it's movement all the time but not going to lie, it's demotivating. I've fought pressing the 'fuck it' button all day.

We fight on. I'd better lose on Monday!

@Fuckedthen noooo don't press the fuck it button! Just think of it like this.. if you carry on and keep going you will most definitely lose more. Even if it's slowly. However if you fuck it off then you absolutely won't lose anymore and perhaps even gain some. I know that it's demotivating, I felt the same last week when the scales kept going up. One minute I was 10st 10 then the next morning I was 11st! However I jumped on the scales this morning and it said 10st 8. The feeling that it gives you is really motivating and it's such a sense of accomplishment. Imagine if you give up and then decide in a few months/years time that you want to try again? You'll have to start all over from scratch. You've already started so may as well keep going 👍

Also well done for not actually pressing the fuck it button today 😄

Good Morning!

How's everyone's week gone so far? Mine has been up and down. I've made good choices (mainly) but have allowed myself the odd treat. Not sure how the scales are going to reflect this on Monday.

I've fallen into a routine of having cereal for breakfast and a protein bar for lunch every day. Tea's have varied - chicken fajitas and potato wedges, baked potato with pulled pork, lasagne, etc. I've not been snacking as much during the day but finding the evenings harder to resist. Saying that, the amount of food I'm consuming has decreased massively and I'm far more conscious of what and how much I'm eating.

I can now feel the difference in my clothes which is a great motivator!

Hope everyone else is feeling positive and not finding things too difficult.

@HawdMeBack have you tried microwave eggs? I eat ‘brown’ eggs most days. Mega quick and protein.

2 x eggs
tablespoon of wheat germ
dash of milk

heat, stir, heat, stir

I eat them with mustard, and brown sauce.

I've fallen off the wagon for the last two days. Self sabotage!

I'm not expecting a loss on Monday, to even stay the same would be fantastic.

Really think it was that cheeky weigh in mind week that's been the catalyst as not the result that I wanted?!

Going forward I think I'm just going to keep to the Monday.

WEEK 9 WEIGH-IN

Morning!

Welcome back @Todaypicard, hope you had a good time.

SW: 14st 5lbs
CW: 13st 6lbs
GW: 11st 0lbs

0.8lbs loss. Still 1lb off the stone mark and seems to be a struggle to get there!

This week, DH is away with work again, and with him goes temptation 👍the weather is to be horrible though, wet all week, so won't be out in the garden or walking as much. I intend to do 3 days of meal replacements this week in the hope it gets me over the line 🤞 I'll reassess things after that.

I'VE JUST JOINED THE GYM 💪

I'm not disciplined enough to exercise at home so this will hopefully get me moving! Can't attend as many classes as I'd like because of the DC, but already booked in for a kettlebells class and a yoga class!

This will either help me on my way to losing my next stone, or, I wont go and it'll be a complete waste of money 🫣 just signed up for a month-to-month contract just now to see if I can get into it.

been swimming & gym and trying to watch what I’ve been eating been a little difficult as we had lots of events 🙈 away this Friday for a week but taking the Vr hopefully I’ll get in at least 30 mins a day on that

The past three days haven't been great for me because I was visiting grandparents in Wales and they just LOVE to feed me. I did have a couple of comments though saying I looked thinner and also my jeans were more roomy which felt food.

Back on it again today but won't be weighing until next week

I weighed this morning, up 2lbs.... Bugger!

Back to it, today is the start of a new month.

SW: 150lbs
CW: 144lbs
GW: 130lbs

I've decided to go for the 130lbs goal. If I feel like losing a bit more is a possibility then I'll revise at that time. So, 1st to get rid of - 4 weigh ins left for August so I'll go for a conservative 1lb a week.

Here goes, again....

P.s. I really, really, really don't feel like I had 7000 extra calories this week - just shows you doesn't it. Utter rubbish.

I know 2 days ago I said I wasn't going to weigh myself but I did this morning. I haven't gained any weight but I haven't lost any either. I started the day determined but I am staaaaaarvinggg today! I am due on in like 6 days so it could be PMS hunger/cravings starting already. So annoying, I feel like I was only just on my period. Why does this time of the month come around so fast

Due on in 3 days all I can think of is food 🙈 so tired and zero energy managed to get my back side to swimming & gym this morning that’s something

now running around trying to pack for holiday , raincoats and welly definitely gonna be needed don’t ya just love the uk weather 🙄

WEIGH DAY

Morning All!

Bit of a weird one for me this morning -

1st weigh in - 13st 4.2lbs 🤩 couldn't believe it so stepped on again.

2nd weigh in - 13st 9.2lbs 🤯 no way!

3rd, 4th & 5th weigh ins - 13st 5.4lbs so that's what I'm going with.

SW: 14st 5lbs
CW: 13st 5.4lbs
GW: 11st 0lbs

A loss of 0.6lbs this week! I'm due on any day so wasn't sure which way the scales would go.

We've to have a good few days weather-wise here this week, so will try and get out and about as often as possible. Not reach 10k steps in a LONG time 🫣

Came on my period yesterday, a bit early but happy to get it over with. I also need to move more.. I am losing about 1lb a week without exercising which I'm happy with but my goal weight is 9st 5 so just feels like it's gonna take so long to get there with a 1lb loss a week. I just hate exercising so much 😩

Also, embarrassing but I've recently had three people ask me if I'm pregnant or "when I'm due" which is GREAT motivation to keep going. Even though it's mortifying

Can I join? Have been lurking a while, am doing ok but very much slower than 2.5lbs a week, more like 1lb which I guess is going in the right direction but can get annoying when you you just want it to hurry up!
