Reporting in for accountability. The eight is falling off DH - grr - so I need some motivation ! We're having a friendly competition and im losing.

Have dropped below 70kg just .... didn't eat until 11.30am & hope that will make a difference, if I stick to it.
going to make lentil dhal and rice for later on and have with full fat yogurt to fill me up.

Starting weight (last month): 13st 8.5lbs
Current weight: 12st 10lbs

I’ve been calorie counting for about 5 weeks and am really pleased with the progress I’ve made so far but I’ve still got a long way to go and my motivation is starting to seep away. Hoping this will keep me on track!

This morning I walked half an hour to the train station instead of DH dropping me off, and I’ve eaten an apple and satsuma for breakfast with veggie fingers & dip for lunch. My fitness is a real issue - I don’t do any exercise at all and get very out of breath - embarrassingly so for a 35 year old! I’ve yet to find something I like, and I have a very sedentary lifestyle.

Finished the day on 1600 cals, again over what I’m aiming for but still under what I’d need to lose weight. I’m logging everything so I think next week I’ll refine it to knock 100/200 cals off. Today did include a treat of a chocolate bar which I have no guilt for.

12k steps plodded today. It’s definitely easier to be in the right mindset when the sun is shining. My aim is to get some really good habits imbedded ready for autumn/winter and to carry them through. although the my walk is creepy in the winter so will need to adjust that.

Definitely worked at the gym yesterday as my calves are throbbing this morning!

I'm listening to my Slimpod every day and I am noticing it's easier to say no to sweets/choc. A friend (who didn't know I was dieting) gave us a box of cakes yesterday and I managed to resist having a whole one myself and was satisfied with just having a bite of DS's.

Men seem to lose weight so more more easily @mimosa1 - soooo unfair. I have had a headache the last couple of days - wondering if my major cutting down of sugar/chocolate has something to do with it. Has to be done - I have let the chocolate thing creep up on me and eat way too much of the stuff. Out with the dog twice a day as usual, but trying to walk at a decent pace rather than dawdling round, lol. Not going near scales until next week at least…

I did very well yesterday because I was busy and ate very little till the evening meal and did a ton of walking 12000 steps and standing around so was on my feet for hours

Breakfast
Apple, water

Lunch
Pitta
Hummous
Apple

Dinner
Goulash, rice, coleslaw, mouthful of ice cream
A few Sweets later on but they're now finished so no more

So 1340 calories (the sweets unfortunately did push that up higher which was silly of me)

No idea what's for dinner later on but I am walking to get my prescription later on so might go past the shops and get something.

I have to think about the DC meal so that anyways makes it harder to keep on track

I do have bolognaise in the freezer so maybe some nice filling Spag Bol and a big salad on the side

Weight the same today so I must be back in water balance so 10/5. Some one brought in donuts yesterday and I did not touch them. Tougher days coming as my birthday so will be indulging in evenings but trying to be good through day.

2 fried eggs on one slice of wholemeal toast with tea, coffee milk. I feel full and calorie count is lower than I thought. I don't normally have time to cook a breakfast this but I do today so I'll make the effort to do this more often

Fried eggs on toast for breakfast with a slice of wholemeal toast. Coffee and tea with milk and sweeteners.

Last night I ate at a friends house who's lost tons of weight and she modelled what her new diet clearly compromises of.

Half a white fish fillet, steamed veg, potato wedges followed by a fruit crumble with custard. I didn't feel stuffed afterwards but also not hungry. I would have eaten twice the amount at home but it has got me massively reevaluating my diet moving forward. I also didn't want to be the one who ate the last bits of potato or veg so I restrained myself by leaving them in the dish. It was good practice for me

Been to the gym today. At Gymnophobics so doing 30 mins resistance training and feeling pretty good about it. This definitely feels like a routine I can maintain.

Battle with snacking continues. Getting towards the end of the month so running out of healthy foods in the fridge - eating too much bread and cheese as there's not much else in until I get paid....

Come back . It doesn't matter if you haven't managed to get into it , it only matters that you try the best you can on that day , one day not ' being good ' isn't a fail.

I've come across this randomly but as a person who lost 50 kilos.. do not look at the scale at all. The weight didn't drop of quickly at first for a good 2 months BUT my body reduced down alot. You don't even need to measure yourself. Use your clothes as a measuring tool or go buy something in a smaller size. Good luck :)
