New (late) thread

Hi LMS. Thanks for the good wishes - all polypped out now, but unfortunately they think there are probably more in my womb, so I've got to go back for a scan, and then later for some day surgery, with general anaesthetic (actually more - it's just really inconvenient).

How's your house going? Have you got a kitchen yet?

can you get them to do liposuction whilst there's there?

Bummer JackieNo, but maybe they'll all come to several stone in weight and you'll suddenly be thin and sylph like!?!

The kitchen is finished (bar one door which is on order because they had to cut down a unit to fit it in so it needs a special door - or something!)but the loft room goes on and on and on and on...... I think I shall be living with builders for ever It's getting me down a bit because I have mess and boxes every where and I really can't start putting everything back and tidy up/decorate until they've finished..i'm getting kinda with them now so DH is trying to smooth the 'troubled waters' and get them to work a little harder/faster! I think he's frightened of what will happen if he sets the Rabid Little Miss Sensible on them!!!!

Oh yes - no, this humongous stomach isn't fat at all: it's all a bunch of polyps. Hmm, liposuction scares me a bit though, Kew. I'm wobbly enough as it is - I think I need to shrink more gradually (at all would be good really though).

Glad you've got a kitchen LMS, but grr at the mess in the rest of the house. Have they given you any sort of idea when they might finish?

DH has been pressuring for end of April but I've decided that on Monday they will have reaped the wrath of Gail and I'll start phoneing, e-mailing and arriving home from work at odd hours to harangue them! [wicked grin emoticon]

I shall employ all the weapons in my vast arsonal, from sweet requests, through sarcasm, shouting, screeching like a banshee and if all else fails crying hysterically (that rarely fails against big macho builder types!!!!). Being blonde and pathetic can have its advantages!

Sounds very scary - be afraid, builders; be very afraid. Hope you get some results.

I think I've lost a pound and a half this week. So am encouraged to carry on.

I seem to have managed to drop another couple of lbs but I'm thinking that's probably excess chocolate from Easter! I think I'll probably slow right down again now.......

OK where is everyone.

I've been manic at work - we are making about 20% of the company redundant at the moment which isn;t pleasant. Also been down the IOW for the weekend lovely but ate too much. Spending time with my Massive and compulsive eating bro has made me want to lose weight again. He spent the whole weekend telling me how littel he eats whilst polishing off 2 jars of peanut butter, two large packets of peanuts, liquorice allsorts, mini mars bars and maltesers, I lose track of what else - ON top of meals - pie and chips, and roast dinner.

It was really sad to see him in denial about his eating. I don't know what he weighs but I would guess round 26 stone.

oh well done Jackie and LMS - is Littlefish on holiday still?

Shall we plan another meet for this summer? I really enjoyed the last one.

I am now over 1 and half stone lighter than I was at the start of this whole mofos thing, and have certainly dropped a dress size over the last few months as well. I am even venturing forth in jeans and trousers now (thank goodness because it's arctic here now)

Reading up through the thread... has anyone tried a WiiFit then? I was tempted too but we don't really do computer games and I'm not sure if it will be an expensive fifteen minute wonder.

WWB my feet are fairly small, but they ^are! wide, so the flipperish motion should give you motivation, yes?

I'm desparate to get a wii fit. I'm convinced it will be the answer to all my troubles...

Ooh - action on the MoFos thread. I've been checking back, but nobody'd posted for ages. Lovely to see you again. And MrsJC - that's brilliant - well done you. Is it the running, do you think? Or a combination of running and other stuff? I've been useless on the running front recently. Lost all motivation. Must must get it going again.
