I've been shockingly bad, both at posting at WWing

I am attempting to clamber back on the wagon but am finding it difficult.

Hey ho, not long until I'm off on me hols. I am so ready for some sunshine

(lol @ Jackie's banshee-like screaming)

JackieNo · 17/03/2008 12:47

at sunshine. And at holidays, come to that. Mind you, will be going to see my mum for a week late April, so looking forward to that.

TigerFeet - not only did I yell at him, and slow down as I was overtaking him, snarling at him, this was all only at the top of our road, so by the time I'd parked at home and was getting the DCs out of the car, he was actually cycling past . I just kept my head down and hoped he didn't realise it was me.

TigerFeet · 17/03/2008 14:16

Is that in Welsh Wales Jackie? Hopefully the weather will pick up for you.

Poor cycling bloke, bet he was dreading cycling past you

[hides Toffee Poppets]

JackieNo · 17/03/2008 16:36

Luckily he seemed relatively indifferent .

littlemisssensible · 18/03/2008 09:33

Hi all,

Well done to those of you who are managing to keep going!

I've given up until April, there is just tooooo much else going on to be able to deal with controlling my love of food!

We spent most of last week in Essex at my brother in law's funeral . As he was Jewish there were evening services for several nights as well as the funeral service and it all got a bit intense. He died very suddenly after being diagnosed with cancer. We'd expected a couple of months or so and had planned to go up at the weekend to visit him as a care package and special bed had been put in at home for him, but he didn't make it home good for him I think as he didn't linger but very upseting for DH and DD who was very fond of her uncle .

On top of that the builders have ripped out the hall ceiling in preperation for the loft room, the stairs they ordered didn't fit so have had to be re-ordered (the suppliers error not theirs) so I've had a week of a hole in the ceiling which has made the house bloody cold! My DH, in his wisdom, has scheduled taking out the old kitchen over the Easter weekend ready for the new kitchen to go in over the following few weeks; while the loft guys are still doing their thing!!!!

And finally adult DD is coming down for Easter weekend too!!!! Thank Goodness my mum lives fairly close (half hour away) and is prepared to feed us all!!!!

Ok, sorry to moan, but it helps to get all the frustrations off my chest......I'm still stuffing for England though

JackieNo · 18/03/2008 12:24

Oh Littlemisssensible, so sorry to hear about your BIL.

Sounds like you have a load to deal with atm - I remember when we were doing our kitchen - it was a real pain, and washing up upstairs in the sink wasn't easy. Best resign yourself to takeaways for the next few weeks. Or if you can, leave the dishwasher plumbed in, so you can use that. Having building done is hell, but hopefully worth it in the end.

littlemisssensible · 18/03/2008 15:38

Hi Jackie!

Yep! Its hell!

Every afternoon I walk into a house full of dust (its doing wonders for my asthma - NOT) and tell myself how lovely it'll look when its finished....

It'll be great when its done
It'll be great when its done
It'll be great when its done
etc

That phrase is keeping my sanity hanging on by a thread!

JackieNo · 19/03/2008 13:29

at the dust. Hope it all gets finished soon.

JackieNo · 24/03/2008 21:06

So, how are the easter eggs going, everyone?. I've been relatively restrained on the egg front, but not on food generally. I did manage to go for a run today, which was good, as I hadn't been much for about 3 weeks.

littlemisssensible · 25/03/2008 11:08

Hi Jackie,

i've been good on the egg front, although I have several ginormous ones at home to eat!!!! I'll just have to stuff myself silly this week ready for a new start in April

Home is getting worse , the loft is still in progress, though I hope to have stairs by tonight, and over the weekend the old kitchen went (I've had a LOT of takeaways!) and today the new one starts going in.....I don't know when I'm going to have a fully working kitchen though! On top of that the microwave died this morning so we're reduced to slow cooker casseroles with chunky bread!

Deep Joy!!!

littlemisssensible · 25/03/2008 11:09

Or more takeaways, obviously

JackieNo · 25/03/2008 15:26

Oh no, LMS - it's not good, is it. Microwaves are pretty cheap in places like Tesco - or can you call on a friend to help out? Hope it gets better soon. Enjoy those takeaways. And the eggs.

littlemisssensible · 25/03/2008 16:11

Getting a new one isn't really a problem, but it's just 'another' problem I could do without right now!!!!

Got into work to find that the office manager lost her dad over the Easter break which she can't help obviously but means I've got to get her jobs done as well as my own (damn good job it didn't happen in January or we'd have been b@##*%ed!!!!)

Just one problem on top of another at the moment! AND i sat here and ate 2 boxes of chocs today....small ones I hasten to add!!!!

Ah well, life goes on.

littlemisssensible · 25/03/2008 16:13

Sorry, don't want to drag anyone down; I'm coping really, but any thoughts of healthy eating are well and truely out of the window!

JackieNo · 25/03/2008 16:19

Oh blimey - it just keeps on coming, doesn't it. I can definitely understand the not wanting (or being able, given your kitchen) to do much in the way of healthy eating.

littlemisssensible · 26/03/2008 10:37

Yep, this spring is really turning into a dooezy!!!!

And the delightful weather isn't helping, but heigh ho, life go's on!

On the plus side, whilst I'm not eating very well I have started taking a brisk evening walk (only 10 minutes) round the block which I hope will improve my health if not my weight

littlemisssensible · 26/03/2008 10:39

How is everyone else by the way? You're all very quiet so I guess maybe I'm not the only one with problems?

I hope you're all managing to keep relitively sane despite the curve balls RL keeps chucking at you/us!

JackieNo · 26/03/2008 13:45

I think it's just us, LMS. They've all gone off to RL.

littlemisssensible · 27/03/2008 10:12

Ahhh well, I'll put the hoover round while their gone if you don't mind doing some light duster flicking!

littlemisssensible · 27/03/2008 10:16

Little Miss Sensible passes the time with a quick hoover

TigerFeet · 27/03/2008 10:47

Helloooooooo

The MoFo's had slipped off my active convos

Eating is shocking atm. I am hiding in a corner in shame

Littlefish · 27/03/2008 11:17
littlemisssensible · 27/03/2008 12:03

Don't hide away Tigerfeet and Littlefish come and keep us company.

I'd offer wise and helpful words if I could but I've been eating for England again so I'm probably no help at all!!!

littlemisssensible · 27/03/2008 12:39

LMS gets out the crochet and waits for company

JackieNo · 27/03/2008 12:40

I think we're all finding it difficult at the moment - I'm certainly being pretty useless.
