Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday Dear Littlefish
Happy Birthday to you

Kewcumber · 17/04/2008 09:22

Thats DS's favorite song at the moment, I have to sing it at bedtime naming every person we can think of....

littlemisssensible · 17/04/2008 13:19

Hi Guys,

Happy Birthday Littlefish.

Good to see you again Kew, I hope you soon feel completely better!

Well I weighed and cutting out the rubbish has worked in that I lost a couple of lbs so thats good

I'm still a couple of lbs more than I was when I posted for the first time but at least i'm going in the right direction again!

I'm aiming for tiny steps of about 1lb a week which means I ought to be able to lose about 1/2 stone by July.....so thats what I'm aiming for!

TigerFeet · 17/04/2008 15:26

Happy Birthday for Monday Littlefish! I will raise a glass to you whilst sunning myself on one of the few remaining unspoilt Spanish beaches Hope you enjoy your weekend - sounds like you intend to!

Tiny steps is good LMS - should be easier to keep it off.

Ooooh is Gherkin reaching the repetitive stage Many, many years of fun ahead of you there Kewc. DD has a favourite book. I could recite it for you if you like...

Littlefish · 17/04/2008 18:39

Tigerfeet - have a wonderful holiday. Eat, drink and be very happy!

JackieNo · 19/04/2008 15:03

Hey - you've been chatting. It had all gone very quiet for a bit. We've just come back from a week in Welsh Wales - it was lovely. Last couple of days were very windy, but apart from that, lovely weather, and lots of food. We went to the beach every day, for a couple of hours, at least. But we ate out a lot too, so I'm expecting to have put on again. I think I probably need to do another re-start too.

Hope you have a lovely holiday, TigerFeet (presume you've gone already, so won't see this now).

Happy birthday for Monday, Littlefish - hope you have a fab weekend.

Glad you're starting to feel better Kewcumber. Don't like the sound of all that green mucus at all.

Kewcumber · 20/04/2008 20:35

Bid improvement Jackie - te mucous is now wite! Still couging and sore trout but muc better. ave been comffort eating terribly but really really need to get back on the wagin - I ave decided (in a sligtly panicked hyperventilating way!) to apply for a second adoption but if my weigt is more than it was at the last one I think they will have a real issue and may well "fail" me on the medical.

Kewcumber · 20/04/2008 20:35

sorry having a problem with a sticky "h" obviously that was a sore "throat"

JackieNo · 20/04/2008 20:44

lol at 'sore trout'. But wow at the decision to go for a second adoption - you're amazing. Are you thinking about going down the Kaz route again?

Kewcumber · 20/04/2008 20:49

I'm not amazing I'm terrified! I just tink that DS's position is so unique and being single, and is cousins are all 15 years older or more - I tink e would really benefit from a sibking in a similar position.

I'm not at all sure Kaz will be an option tis time (talk of banning single adoptions) in wich case I will eiter ask for a Kazak cild from a russian orpanage near te border or possibly go te wilder (and untried) route of Kyrgyzsatn.

JackieNo · 20/04/2008 20:53

Wow - you're still amazing in my book (although I can't possibly spell Kyrgyztan -so many consonants together it could be Welsh). Wait till I tell DD - she occasionally says that she wants to have a baby when she's grown up, but if she can't, she'd like to adopt, like you.

Kewcumber · 22/04/2008 10:44

how barking mad would I be to consider buying a Nintendo Wii Fit when they come out?

JackieNo · 22/04/2008 12:41

I hadn't heard of it, but having googled, it sounds worth a go - but do you have to buy first the Wii, then the Wii Fit game and balance thingy? Could be expensive. But if it works, worth it. Avoids the humiliation factor, not to mention the going out in the rain factor. Looks like they're selling out already though. Bet your DS would enjoy it too, in time.

Kewcumber · 22/04/2008 12:42

yes you have to buy wii and £80 extra pack. But it does weigh you and track your progress. Am a bit concerned that it won;t take my weight though.

JackieNo · 22/04/2008 12:47

I haven't seen a weight limit on any of the things I looked at. Will google some more...

JackieNo · 22/04/2008 12:49

Conflicting information - either 136 kg, or 150 kg. How much is that in real money?

JackieNo · 22/04/2008 12:50

23.6 stone, according to the conversion thingy I just found.

JackieNo · 22/04/2008 12:51

That's the 150 kg. (and yes, I know I should have put all that in one message - sorry!).

Kewcumber · 22/04/2008 13:46

actually either weight limit would (just about at the lower one) be OK . I'm so tempted....

I wonder if it will turn out to be an expensive gadget though...

JackieNo · 22/04/2008 18:55

Hmm - not sure. People who have them really seem to enjoy them, but I don't know if they're one of those things like a juicer - use it loads for a few weeks, then it gathers dust for years.

JackieNo · 22/04/2008 19:59

Hey - wish me luck for tomorrow - am going into hospital (just in and out, so to speak) to have my cervical polyp whipped off .

Kewcumber · 22/04/2008 21:09

good luck for tomorrow, you sould be ligter by one polyp this week at least (wonder how much they weigh)

JackieNo · 22/04/2008 22:27

Now there's a thought - though I suspect they're like skin tags, really tiny, and it won't make any difference. I have been trying (mostly) to be a bit more restrained.

littlemisssensible · 23/04/2008 10:44

Hi all,

Sorry to hear you've been ill Kew, hope you're improving with every day that passes. I too think you're amazing to be concidering another adoption. DS will love having a sibling but I think you're immensly brave to consider going through all the hassle and heartache again.....You ARE Amazing!!!!

With regard to Wii fit, I've been wondering about that too. My DH and DD love the Wii sport (as well as gazillions of Mario games!) and play it quite often. They've both improved their fitness levels (according to the Wii!) in the last few months. I don't fancy doing the sports though because it involves lots of leaping around playing virtual tennis/baseball/boxing/bowling/golf etc! i thought maybe the Wii fit might be more my thing!!!!

Good luck today JackieNo, maybe it'll be a BIG polp and weigh several lbs, making you several lbs lighter by this evening!!!!
