Has anyone tried Slimpod?

Just wondered if it works? I only have about a stone and a half to shift, but it's just proving very difficult - my self-control is shot.

Slimpod has absolutely nothing to do with slimming pills. Blatant advertising

Shazzo59 · 05/10/2023 21:54

Did it work?

HowcanIgetoutofthisalive · 06/10/2023 09:27

Shazzo59 · 05/10/2023 21:54

Did it work?

not for me it hasn't inasmuch that I haven't lost weight. But I'm not sure I've 'engaged' in the process enough? All I do is listen to the pod most days (maybe I miss 1 day here/there) but I've not written down 'wins' or done a 'goal map', don't interact with the FB groups or listen to the (bloody loads of) videos and live chats etc so I am missing a lot of the program to be honest!

I have noticed though that I've reduced portion sizes, leave food on my plate, order healthier items when eating out and have joined a gym and am actually enjoying the exercise so maybe something is working....who knows!

Flintstonex3 · 08/12/2023 03:19

Just wondering about this slimpod as it sounds very like what Paul McKenna did a few years ago. I got that but it didn't do anything for me. So just curious to know if there is a difference between the two. As this sounds very much the same.

Zeza68 · 13/12/2023 10:56

Are any of you ladies going through the menopause while doing this and it’s working.. ?

VimtoVimto · 13/12/2023 17:23

I’m post menopause and I’ve lost 7lbs in four months, which isn’t a massive amount but I’m pleased because it’s been painless. The last time I managed to lose that much was on Fast800 diet but it was hard work and not sustainable.

I was very sceptical about Slimpod because I’ve tried countless diets and nothing worked so I’m impressed.

I find it’s nothing like Paul McKenna which I struggled with. I can’t really explain it but feels more subtle. I’ve found I’m choosing not to eat things because I’m not hungry or don’t fancy it which was practically unheard of for me. I still eat everything I ate previously but a lot less of it.

Yogachick · 14/12/2023 21:08

Are all the pods just 9 mins long?

VimtoVimto · 14/12/2023 21:43

Yes they are probably just under 9 minutes so easy to fit in.

NANAX3 · 10/01/2024 14:50

Has any one joined the slimpod since Christmas is it working for you. Does it help your alcohol consumption as well as your eating habits

Yogachick · 10/01/2024 18:29

I have. 28th Dec started. Last weighed 15th Dec .5th Jan I’d lost 1 1/2lb. Zero effort. I listen while I wait for my coffee to cool first thing in the morning as I found it woke me up at night. I’m eating smaller portions, less junk and am being consistent with my daily yoga practice and walking. My body image is improving though it will be a while before I unpick 44 yrs of self loathing. Did I mention zero effort. I was determined I would just listen, I do daily wins sometimes but I’ve just generally got a more positive outlook. Zero effort. But as with everything, early days. I’m determined not to obsess or restrict or any of the hundreds of things I’ve tried before. 9 mins fits in my day super easily. It’s not even been 2 full weeks yet

I’ve just started. I’m either menopausal or post menopausal - I take HRT so it tricky to tell!
I started on Friday, listen to the Slimpod every night and chill pod when it fits in with the day. I write my wins down in an online journal. I am definitely eating less, not desire to snack all evening. I’m drinking less alcohol. I seem to be eating and drinking more slowly. I have managed to exercise (wither a walk or yoga) every day, whereas last week I’d have talked myself back out of it.
It seems a bit miraculous. Hard to trust it, but I’ll just roll with it for now.

CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment · 04/03/2024 11:52

Hi all, I hope everyone's journeys are going well and it's ok if I join! I'm considering buying the programme but it's expensive, would you say it's basically a rebranding of hypnosis that was popular in the 90s? Is it worth it?

HowcanIgetoutofthisalive · 04/03/2024 13:19

@CheeseSandwichRiskAssessment for me, no it hasn't done a thing for me. I started it in May 2023; listened every day for 2 months. It made me stop and think about what I was eating and I think I did eat healthier but i was still eating UPF's and snacking when not hungry etc.

I've not listened to the pods for a while but will give it another go. There are a couple of other small threads about it and a couple of posters have had amazing results! Good luck if you go for it.

ClaudiaWinklepanda · 15/03/2024 07:28

I’m on day 3, listening to the pods and doing the wins but not touching FB with a barge pole. I need to lose weight but have struggled with willpower and feelings of deprivation in the past, so I’m hoping this will be a good fit for me.

Actually, even if I don’t lose an ounce the reduction in food-related mental noise will be brilliant.

Yogachick · 15/03/2024 11:27

Still doing it. Came off Face on group after someone started anti Israeli rant on there, whatever your thoughts on that war, a Facebook slimming group is not the place. The post was removed but was there far too long. I’ve lost a little bit but the biggest thing and why I consider it a success is the constant head stress and mental chatter and food worrying and obsessing has calmed massively and many days I have no interest in food. After 40+ years failing at dieting and thinking about it from the moment I woke up, I take this as a huge win. And I have lost a few lb without thinking about it😁

Hi I know this thread was started last year but was wondering if people were still using the Slimpods and getting succes? I saw an advert for this yesterday, has mostly good reviews.

I'm early 50s, peri menopausal, have put on weight and can't seem to stop eating rubbish! Feel and look fat.
I'm seriously thinking about downloading this today for the free trial. Thanks for any advice.

I bought this a year ago. Have tried it twice during the last 12 months and no weight loss at all. I'm similar age/circumstances to you. However, the mind chatter about food etc has definitely diminished and I'm always seem to be unconsciously aiming for 'healthier' food and knocking out Ultra Processed Foods too; seems to be natural. So I think it has helped in some way but not for me to actually physically lose weight. Which is very frustrating as that was the reason I bought into it!

But I'm just one person...there are others on here and other similar threads that have found success using it, plus there are some good success stories on the FB page (if you can bother to wade through the rubbish posts!).

Good luck if you choose to dive in!

Thank you for replying @HowcanIgetoutofthisalive . From what I've read you are supposed to listen to these pods every day, last fir around 9 minutes?
Interesting you say you are eating healthier which is something! I end up snacking and eating rubbish when I'm not hungry. I know I do it when I'm stressed especially after a stressful day at work. If anything helps, will be good!

Search out my comments above. I’m having great success. It dies remove some of the food noise, but you do also have to take the nudges and do new things/change the way you eat. It just makes it easier. I’m much more active, eat more healthily and feel better. Not sure how much I’ve lost, but I’ve dropped a couple of dress sizes (since Feb) and get lots of compliments. I’d started losing weight before, so that’s not from a base of mad eating.

yes, you listen to the slimpod everyday. They recommend you use it at bedtime but you can use it at any other time of the day (other than driving). I think it is about 9 minutes long. You don't have to actively listen; they encourage you to not listen to Trevor's voice. They claim it works if you fall asleep too.

I'm same as you; I eat when I'm not hungry; stressed; tired; bored; unhappy...

LetsHopeSo · 06/06/2024 14:42

Thank you @cardibach and @HowcanIgetoutofthisalive .
I've signed up to it now. Watched a video by I presume the woman who runs it and listened to 2 pods, one for weight loss and the other for stress. Will wait and see!
I've just been for a walk with the dog but hasn't had any effect on my appetite yet!! 😝. Just kidding, I know it will take time.

Really noticed it last year looking at photos on holiday, I now have a big saggy double chin as well as my fat stomach. Have no willpower now when it comes to snacks, especially chocolate. Going on holiday again soon so hoping for a bit of improvement!
