Hi,

I'm starting back on a healthy regime today, I was going to start on the 1st, but seize the day and all that.

Got on the scales this morning and am 206.2 lbs 😣

I'd like to get to 130 lbs so have around 5st/74 lbs to lose.

Feel free to join me but I aim to post daily to keep myself on track. I'm going to go low carb, maybe do an 8 hour eating window and keep a small eye on calories. I have gym membership but haven't been for a while, and also exercise witha friend a couple of times a week.

I've just had a blood test to review the HRT (been on it about 4m now) and will get the results tomorrow, i might mention to the DR about ozempic or saxenda, I saw someone say it still works ok with HRT, becuase i'm just not making any progress. Its not sustainable to live of salad, which is what it seems I need to do now. I want to go to the gym and will need to eat properly.

@Diddelydi Ozempic is a diabetes medication that helps you lose weight and saxenda is weight loss injections, I don't know too much about those though.

Yesterday was not a good day, for me. 201.0lbs
a cheese and bacon roll
some french stick & butter
a cheese salad roll and a few crisps
a banana
lentil soup & a bit of homemade flat bread

Too many carbs. 202.9lbs today.
So far today I've had a slice of rye bread, with cheese, ham and a fried egg on and a satsuma.
Planning to have boquerones (little fish) and veg for dinner.

I've just got back from the Drs and my Habc1 (blood glucose) is a little higher than it should be so I need to get my act together, I have to go for another one in 3 months and if its not down the Dr will say I need to be on medication and "at my age you don't want to be on medication, you know" - so I didn't ask about the ozempic.

My B12 is towards the lower range of normal but I haven't been taking the vits so now I am, it should come back up, I can feel a difference already and am waking up earlier like I normally do (I've been sleeping really late recently) and my Vit D is lower than it should be so I just bought some of those, but she's testing my iron and thyroid because I said I've been really tired after the exercise last week. I'll get those results next week. I'm going to stop buying lettuce and go back to baby spinach instead.

I need to work out a high protein meal plan, I like to know what I'm eating for the week and have it planned out, so will sit down and do that later.

I always feel better eating high protein low carb - more energy.

At my last health check I showed borderline diabetes, is this what you are referring to?

Yes. I know carbs don't agree with me, blood sugar wise and energy wise.

In my favour I can lose weight very quickly.... If I stick to about 1500 calories a day, it's just the sticking to it!

I put 2 1/2 stones on over lockdown and the amount I have to lose made me feel it was impossible, but I seem to have my mojo back now🤞

198.3lbs for me today.😩

Yesterday I ate:

2 egg omelette with onion, garlic, spinach, a slice of ham, mushrooms, and a slice of cheese
Satsuma
Loquats
Tandoori chicken leg, salad including avocado, broccoli
HALF a honeycomb matchstick chocolate and a handful of nuts. They were very salty though.

When the fruit we have is gone I'm going to drop that out. I can't see why I'm gaining when I'm eating barely anything. The chicken legs included the thigh, they weren't just drumsticks, but the sauce was just greek yoghurt, tandoori spice mix and lime juice, so not a hugely calorific sauce. They were done in the oven so not fried. I just give up. When I go back to the gym, I'm going to be bloody starving again too, I was soo hungry that week I did in the gym.

handful of unsalted peanets
tiny bit of trail mix
fish, salad, inc avocado
greek yoghurt, banana, honey, trail mix

1 hour cross training class

1.5l water
1 or 2 cups of normal tea

I'm going to drop put the fruit, nuts, trail mix and maybe dairy ffs.

ALTHOUGH I want to go tot he cinema on saturday so might have an evening off.
