Hi,

I'm starting back on a healthy regime today, I was going to start on the 1st, but seize the day and all that.

Got on the scales this morning and am 206.2 lbs 😣

I'd like to get to 130 lbs so have around 5st/74 lbs to lose.

Feel free to join me but I aim to post daily to keep myself on track. I'm going to go low carb, maybe do an 8 hour eating window and keep a small eye on calories. I have gym membership but haven't been for a while, and also exercise witha friend a couple of times a week.

Good morning! 199.9lbs for me this morning.

Yesterday:

Loads more gardening.
2l water.
2 green teas I think.
3 egg omelette, plain, just s, p, chilli flakes and homemade jalepeno hot sauce.
Roast chicken breast inc skin and juices poured over.

I'm going to do a week of protein to see what happens. Still taking the HRT, the brain fog was getting pretty bad and I was making silly mistakes with my work so I'll carry on taking it.

It will come off, it's likely water weight form having a few treats.

198.2 for me today.

Yesterday:
2l water, several teas, decaf, not green.
A tin of tuna - the tins here are tiny, not like uk ones, I think they are about 50g - s, p, vinegar & a teaspoon of mayo.
A chicken breast, with homemade jalepino hot sauce.

I'm not hungry at all and struggled to eat all the chicken breast.

Yesterday:
3l water
5-6 green teas. At least 5.
3 rashers of bacon and 2 fried eggs.
3 100g burgers. We got pork and beef mince and mixed it up with salt, pepper and butter and weighed it into 100g burgers/patties. I had some h/m jalapeno hot sauce with them.

Yesterday was almost the same as the day before:
3l water
5 green teas
2 rashers of bacon and 2 fried eggs.
3 100g h/m burgers and half a massive chicken frankfurter. Smidgeon of mustard and a teaspoon of mayo.

1 rasher of bacon, 2 fried eggs

A small amount of pork scratchings

3 slices of pancetta/pork belly, 2 h/m burgers, but I made them into small bite size 'nuggets' to eat watching a film 😂

194.2lbs today.

I put all the figures in the weightfit app yesterday and can see the trand in the loss. The amount lost has been declining each day.

I think I need to go right back to basics because extras have been creeping in, like mayo and fattier things, like the pancetta.

Yesterday:

3l water
5 Green teas

Pork scratchings and 50g tuna, teaspoon of mayo, s, p & vinegar.

Chicken mince, s, p, butter, mixed up and put in bite size pieces and fried in butter, to make 'nuggets'.
2 slices pancetta pork belly.

I got in the pool yesterday and did half hour-ish of aqua running (running on the spot in water). The water was still cold so I thought I'd get a good result doing that but no 😕

193.8lbs/13st 11lbs 8 oz today, so 7lb 7oz lost since last monday. This hasn't been too hard and the loss is going to slow down but as long as I'm making progress I reckon I can keep this up and relax it a while.

Yesterday:
3l water.
5 green teas.

1 slice pancetta, 2 fried eggs.
1/2 slice of left over pancetta, last little bit of pork scratchings.
300g beef mince, salt, pepper, butter, made into burgers.

@Diddelydi No I haven't, I'll have a look. I used to do 5 day fasts regularly.

194.0lbs today.

I had processed food yesterday which could be why I'm up:
1 fried egg, 1 rasher of bacon, a (large, 100g) shop bought chicken sausage.
a few leftover chicken/turkey 'nuggets'.
Some shop bought pork meatballs, flattened into 'nuggets', hot sauce.

I was reading an article about carnivore last night that said you have to eat enough fat, 1:1 with protien grams and not to try to keep the calories low, and that fasts longer than 18hrs aren't beneficial so I'm going to try to up my fat and calories a little bit as an experiment and see what happens. I'm going to add in cheese and a little bit more butter.

I don't think I could fast, the meal replacements days are as much as I can manage 🤔

Although the health benefits seem very good - warding off diabetes ( which I am borderline for) and the joint relief..... Maybe need to look at it properly and see.

The benefits for diabetes are amazing. I got my BG from around 18 to about 7 in less than 2 weeks before.

I'm lucky so far in that if I eat properly, my BG stays down. If I continued to eat what I wanted it would probably end up not being able to be controlled by diet anymore.

I'm going to take my BG tomorrow morning, I haven't done it for months but at those last blood tests I had the other week, my HbA1c was raised again (it was last time, but the time before that she said she thinks they'd disgnosed me too hastily - but I was eating right then and wasn't later on), and she said if it isn't down next time (end of may/early june will be 3 months) she said I'd need medication, and 'I really don't want that at my age' which was why I didn't ask her for ozempic 😂

I can feel that my BG is in the right region though.

I took my BG this morning and it was 7.2, then 7.0 mmol. Which I'm surprised by tbh. I need to get my lardarse back to the gym! Even more now. Although I didn't take it right after waking up, it was about an hour after I woke up (I wasn't moving around and doing things though, I was on my phone in bed before getting up) and I squeezed my finger each time which you aren't supposed to do.

I'm wavering, I want something sweet!

I've dropped out the green tea because I was having a sweetener in each one and was feeling bloated after the second one of the day (without having eaten yet, so it wasn't cheese). I was feeling bloated yesterday daytime which was why I only drank 2l of water instead of 3.

I think the benefits of giving up sweetener outweigh any benefits green tea might give and as it gets hotter here I can't drink that amount of tea. I can maybe manage one in the morning when I get up.

There's some dark chocolate in the fridge if I have to cave but I don't want to. I might make my DH eat it now 😂

2 h/m burgers, with cheese & mayo & hot sauce.

I took my BG again and it was 7.2. I've only got one strip left and I can't find any others so will have to get a new machine as the strips I use aren't available here.
