Lazy pig seeks other lazy pigs to lose 1lb a week.

Ok, this starts on Monday, as I have a steak pie and mash and yorkies to eat tomorrow. Will also heroically finish the Christmas chocolate so it’s out of the house. Once that’s all achieved, I’m good to go.

I need and must lose at least one pound a week until April. That’s about a stone.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right? Wrong. I’m basically fucking lazy, I hate exercise, hate going out in bad weather and am a total gluttonous food guzzling pig. And probably peri menopausal. And I sit at a desk all day. And a million other pathetic excuses why I’ve not shifted this weight in 2022 like I said I would.

I can’t be the only one who’s got sod all willpower, so who’s up to being fully accountable to this thread?

Lazy pigs like me especially welcome. Weigh in Monday morning.

Lazy pig who would rather read than exercise but would like to lose at least a stone following here. Have just polished off the last two croissants in the freezer and have curry tonight, after that it's....who knows.

This is the thread I need! Another lazy pig joining up. My aim is to drink more water and less wine. Move more and eat less sweets and snacks late at night.

Mañanarama · 08/01/2023 10:34

Do we put our actual weight on here, or just our weight loss? Is height or age relevant? Don’t want to be toooo formal.

We need a non legally binding strategy.

OK I need this. Have failed miserably over the last year. Don't need to lose tonnes but half a stone would get me back to last Jan. Heroically finished the Christmas cheese last night!

serenghetti2011 · 08/01/2023 10:37

Me too, am a giant lazy pig 🐷 no thyroid so it’s like what’s the point but I have a dodgy knee so I need to get the lbs off so I can function at work etc although I’ve got birthday cake to eat first 😂😂

Well done on the cheese front!

This is very much an easy does it / no judgement thread.

My friend, I’ll call her Slim Sally, tried to get me to join a boot camp. Reasons not to: 1) it’s too early on a weekend. 2) it’s too cold. 3) if some skinny fitness bunny shouts at me I would likely tell them to fuck off and then fall straight into the nearest shop for comfort snacks.

I'm in. Lost 5 and a half stone in 2020. All gone back on. Here we go...

America12 · 08/01/2023 10:41

Same ☹️

How did you do it?

I was doing some arm weights while watching TV, thereby combining the best of both worlds 😆

Damn, have just seen that there are a couple of crumpets still to eat.

TheHauntedPencilCase · 08/01/2023 10:45

Oh no I'm with you on boot camp @Mañanarama . I was doing weekly yoga but don't know if I will restart. The real benefit was it meant a 20 min walk there and back. I only go into work 1 day a week so have really struggled without the walking that office attendance entails. My plan is to try and snack less, I also eat massive portions but less keen to focus on that just yet. Slowly slowly is going to be my motto.

Ohmych · 08/01/2023 10:48

I'm a lazy pig too and need to join. I managed to lose only 1 and a half stone in a whole year then put 8lbs on over Christmas. It will probably take me until next Christmas to lose it.

Ohmych · 08/01/2023 10:50

Then when I do lose that 8lbs I have another 4st to go.

Mañanarama · 08/01/2023 10:52

I’m so happy to have found my fellow pigs! I started this thread last night while in a very happy Lindt coma, but with no replies this morning I thought everyone must be out jogging or something.

But here you all are!

Another lazy pig signing in here. I just had the last couple (okay, maybe more than a couple) of chocolate fingers for breakfast. I should probably at least look at a vegetable soon.

Mamazita · 08/01/2023 11:01

Lazy pig here joining in! I'm the heaviest I've ever been. Just noticed on Netflix that they have Nike workouts and some are only 15 minutes. Will start with them. I've cut the booze and really need to stop gorging on chocolate and crisps. We've got this!!

Monkeytennis97 · 08/01/2023 11:02

@America12 always calorie counting and exercise. I used an app to count calories. Have never got the hang of Syns and things like that.

BobBobBobbing · 08/01/2023 11:02

I've found my people!

I do not like exercise- never understood the whole buzz that people describe they get from exercise. I got hot, sweaty and sore. It does not feel nice at any stage. And it takes too long to deliver results. I like instant gratifications so when I've put myself through the horrors I want to see something actually change.

I love food. But especially chocolate and anything sugar based. And I love wine. When I was younger I could live off crap and still remain stuck thin, however my body has decided now I'm old that it will hang on to every possible calorie.

First step is to cut down on the wine as although its fucking amazing, it is also lots of calories. Dd wants to do more cooking so we are going to meal plan. That should mean fewer ready meals. And I'm going to do my lazy persons pretend yoga every night occasionally to help with my dodgy back.

bin the chocolate
freeze the pie

if you’re going to do this, stick to it and maintain it…. Delaying until this, that and the other is not a positive start

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 08/01/2023 11:09

Heroically finished the Christmas cheese last night!

Cheese is good for gut flora.

biomes.world/en/interesting-facts/nutrition/cheese-intestinal-flora/

That is my excuse and I am sticking to it (eyes wedge of Machego still in fridge)

There’s always one.

I’m not sure Lazy Pig Club is the right club for you, with that attitude.
