Friday weigh in club!

Anyone fancy joining me in weighing every Friday and posting our progress? I will also post what exercise I have managed that week.
I need somewhere to be accountable! Ideas for meals would be good to share as we go along too.
I have around a stone to lose and am aiming for 1lb a week loss. I will be loosely calorie counting.

I really wanted pizza tonight but instead of getting a takeaway I made a scone based mini pizza with beetroot, ham and cheese. Calorific, but not anywhere near as bad as what I would have had from the shop! I feel very virtuous.

Forgot to weigh in but I'm 11.2 now!! 2lb down and that's 5lb in just under a month. Feeling pleased .

9stone 8 so 2lbs off which is great but have eaten so much this weekend that it’ll probably be back on by Friday 🙈

Well done everyone! I had a pretty relaxed weekend food wise, I went out for dinner with friends for the first time in ages Saturday and had pizza and a G&T and then yesterday a Sunday roast and crumble so definitely went way over my calories, but I’m ok with that, I deserved it after 28 days of strict calorie counting! Plus I’m feeling very motivated for this week now. I’m going to try and fit an extra run or gym session in this week to make up for it, I’d really love to be 10st 5 by Friday weigh in. Hope everyone had a good weekend x

I think (?) I'm on the zone now but it's clear I'm not losing ir going yo lose as quickly as i did last time round. Of course it's because I've less to lose but still a little frustrating. Crossing fingers I'll get there for summer.

@CottonSock I was size 22 before Christmas and 18 stone 2 Christmas Eve. I'm down 1 stone 6lbs.

Good couple of days for me. Stuck to <1200cal and covered 13 miles walking. Back to work tomorrow but I'll naturally get my 10,000 steps (probably more) whilst I work as it an active role. I'm just about getting used to the lower calories again so not feeling particularly hungry at any point. I do keep telling myself it'll be worth it to enjoy the weekends guilt (and lb) free.

Hmmm, only half my post, posted.

I've walked 13 miles over last two days and stuck to <1200. Getting used to the low calories again so never feel particularly hungry. Keep telling myself it'll all be worth it to have a guilt free (and X fingers Lb free) weekend.

I'm away at a work event. I was good at breakfast yesterday but the cakes all day were torture so I had 3. Plus a cooked lunch then an evening meal with wine. Wonder what damage I can do in 3 days. Give me iron will to resist the cakes... mmm chocolate brownies, rocky road, pastries. There is a fruit bowl and of course and no-one touched it.

Morning, all.
May I join @choc27 , it sounds like a very inspirational thread.
I've just been away but thought I'd weigh today, and every Friday. Next holiday 10 week away, need to lose at least a stone.
I do great when I put my mind to it !
I don't mind calorie counting but have fallen into 16 : 8 by accident, really, but it does work for me. I've tried keto and whilst it does work, I'm hungry and it's not sustainable.
My dsis is joining a slimming group but they don't work for me - but I'll walk with her.
Plan is :
Brunch 11am - usually sourdough bread, avocado, eggs, rocket salad, then
5pm - tea. I'll eat same as dh, but fewer carbs.
If hungry during the day, I'll eat some protein.
I'm quite active.
Love to drink sparkling water with lemon and am definitely not drinking wine ( but that's another thread ! ).

Welcome @Amdone123 I also have a holiday on the horizon that I'm focused on. I'm also great when I'm in the zone, mind this time around I'm not making great progress even though I'm at it two weeks!

No loss again here, but I know I undid it all with my mid-week binge and an excessive weekend. My plan was to take my foot off the diet pedal for the weekends but I think I might have been just a teeny bit too lenient on myself 😃

I think sometimes when we embark on a healthy eating regime ( 🤣, I'm trying to avoid the D word) we want it to work straight away, but if we just keep going, give it time, it will come off. How far off is your holiday?
