Friday weigh in club!

choc27 · 02/01/2023 20:51

Anyone fancy joining me in weighing every Friday and posting our progress? I will also post what exercise I have managed that week.
I need somewhere to be accountable! Ideas for meals would be good to share as we go along too.
I have around a stone to lose and am aiming for 1lb a week loss. I will be loosely calorie counting.

I'm so hungry!
Dieting really sucks!

FlutterbButterfly · 01/03/2023 10:01

I felt hungry yesterday, the first time since the first few days of me starting. I managed not to cave and I'm feeling absolutely fine this morning. Had a couple of cups of tea (no sugar and the tiniest splash of milk as I like it really strong) and my protein shake. Off to work shortly, double shift but will get home in-between them. Have taken the dog for a walk so feel quite energised for the day ahead.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Amdone123 · 01/03/2023 11:27

Going OK here.
I always know my 'diet' is working when I feel hungry. I think it's a good thing. When we're not 'dieting ', we're not hungry because we're eating more than we should.
Apologies if that sounds patronising 🤣
I thought I'd weigh myself yesterday as I was away last week for 2 days.
Last week, 13st 6
Yesterday, 9st 6
I think the scales in Boots are broken 😏

choc27 · 01/03/2023 11:46

Glad everyone is getting on OK. I've been pretty good, haven't missed any gym sessions and mostly stuck to calories.
We've been on this for 2 months now!! We should be celebrating for sticking with it!!

@AAmdone123 😂, although if weight loss was that quick it would make life so much more enjoyable 😉

Off for my second shift of the day in a bit. Have made the most of my gap abd prepped my dinner for later- Lettuce, olives, beetroot, sundried tomatoes and chicken breast. Will add croutons, lighter than light Mayo and a bit of pamesan when I get in at 9pm. Would be quick to make at 9pm but if it's already when I get back then happy days. This is one of my hardcore days....

CottonSock · 01/03/2023 18:33

I gained 4lbs last week on holiday and now gave a stomach bug so will probably undo some damage by Friday.

Oh no! Hope you are on the mend soon, not the best way to offload weight but 🤷🏼‍♀️

choc27 · 02/03/2023 17:03

Hope you sew feeling better @CottonSock.
How is everyone feeling about weigh in tomorrow?

@choc27 , no idea as its all so confusing... I've stuck to plan but I've had times where I've stuck for 3 weeks. I feel good but the scales may disagree 😫

choc27 · 02/03/2023 22:11

I exactly know the feeling! Nothing has made sense to me over the last couple of months so I have no idea for tomorrow. Fingers crossed.....

LostSleep · 03/03/2023 06:44

Last week 61.1 kg
This week 60.4 kg

Found water and walking is key (and breastfeeding). When I'm getting more sleep (hahahaha) going to start going to the gym.

IHeartGeneHunt · 03/03/2023 06:53

Still 16.4, I haven't been able to get my levothyroxine for two weeks though and I'm sure that isn't helping.

choc27 · 03/03/2023 07:19

Start weight 149.8lb
Today 145.6lb

Progress is picking up. Pretty happy with that.

Amdone123 · 03/03/2023 07:27

@choc27 , that's great. Well done ! @IHeartGeneHunt , you've still great, hope you get sorted soon.
@LostSleep , that's good - keep going - it's not easy with a little un, but I agree with the water and walking.
I feel lighter today. I want to walk into town to weigh myself but there's going to be no point if they're broken. I think I'll just buy some scales.

autienotnaughty · 03/03/2023 08:50

Just .5lb again. Need to try harder.

Amdone123 · 03/03/2023 09:09

@autienotnaughty , at least it's a loss. Keep going.

CottonSock · 03/03/2023 11:05

I'm still carrying the gain of my holiday but it's going down. Must keep going! This is hard work.
I feel I'll probably get rid of it by Easter, then repeat the cycle!

FlutterbButterfly · 03/03/2023 14:59

Well done losers 🤪!

I'm down 1lb this week, 10st 6lbs so 1/2 stone since I began which was 13th Jan. Amother 1/2 Stone to get into my happy zone and then another 1/2 Stone to my happiest weight. Losing the last bit is quite tough though, it slows right down!

5ft 9
Start weight 10st 13
Current 10st 6
1st Target 10st
Final target 9st 6

Amelia891 · 03/03/2023 15:09

Well done everyone. 3rd week in a row with no loss from me (still 10st 5) I think if I’m being really honest with myself I’m not being as strict as I was originally was, I've still been having low calorie meals but I have had the odd biscuit here and there and I’ve been having approx 1500 cals a day whereas before I was tracking every single thing and never going over 1200.

My plan next week…
Gym twice
1200 and track literally everything
drink loads of water!

FlutterbButterfly · 03/03/2023 15:43

@Amelia891 , I stuck at 10st 8lb for 3 weeks but lost over the last 2 weigh ins. I'm on 1200 sun- Thursday and then Fri/Sat have what I like without being ridiculous. For me 1500 cals is my maintenance even though all online/dietary calculators tell me otherwise.

Stick with it!

weightstrugglinmum · 03/03/2023 18:25

15st 1 last week
14st 12 1/2 lbs this week.

On the protein shakes twice a day with fruit and a low cal tea, but I haven't been hugely strict and no exercise, so gonna get exercising next week. Also waiting for my new protein shakes to be delivered. Putting some of loss down to fact was on my period last week. Need to make sure I get good sleep levels so I'm not needing ridiculous suger levels to get me through the day.

Stay positive everyone, day by day journey xx

choc27 · 03/03/2023 21:43

Well done everyone! Into our third month...lets keep going!

Amdone123 · 04/03/2023 08:50

Morning, everyone!
Got my new scales - 13st 8, so no change, but that's OK.
I was away last week for 2 days, although I have been on it the last week.
I probably need to try harder !
I've got 6 weigh ins til I go away and I'm determined to lose at least 12lb.
Determined, I am !

FlutterbButterfly · 06/03/2023 09:47

Morning all! How did everyone's weekend pan out?

I'm more lax with my diet Friday and Saturday as in I'll eat whatever I want for dinner/have takeaway and some wine too. However in saying that due to my work pattern and not being able to eat at work this leads to one meal a day- this naturally keeps the damage low but it a naughty meal! Friday was homemade chilli with steamed rice, Tacos and dips. Saturday was Burger and chips. I don't have a protein shake on these days. Yesterday I had a late morning shake which replaces breakfast and lunch and then had roast chicken, salad and Wraps for dinner. I'll now be lower calorie until Thursday.

Had a cuppa so far today and looking out the window the prospect of a walk is not inviting. But, we have a dog so needs must. Snow forecast tomorrow too.

I'll be happier once I've shifted the next half stone hopefully in time for my Birthday in May. I would like to be at my final target by August Bank holiday when we are away in the west country for a week.

I hope we can all hit our targets in a healthy matter both physically and mentally. This is something I'm very mindful of as I have had issues in the past so do have a strange relationship with food! I often wonder if it's caused by anxiety triggered by childhood trauma? I've thought about hypnotherapy in regards to anxiety but I'm one of those mumbo-jumbo types, that's until I see it with my own eyes!

IHeartGeneHunt · 06/03/2023 11:06

Morning! I had a good weekend, stuck to my meal plans. Finally managed to get my levothyroxine so things should start moving again!
