Enjoy Italy!
Still here. No weight loss to report. Got my HRT though and I've had my gym induction. Back in the old salad lunch routine which feels great.

How's everyone doing?

AnnieHoooo · 10/01/2023 14:55

Name change fail! It's Annie here I'm also Artfully on political threads where i don't want to give away my v small location. Sorry!

Sodullincomparison · 10/01/2023 20:57

Oooo HRT! Well done, that a big thing to sort.

Chef was following me around with food today trying to get me to eat. My PA left so I had some peace and quiet about lunch for a while.

I feel so much better in the afternoon when I don’t have a meal at lunch and just have fruit. Then I’m starving in the evening.

thank you - we are going for 36 for a date! Random sky scanner flight for £30 return.

Sodullincomparison · 10/01/2023 20:57

36 hours!!

Stravaig · 13/01/2023 10:55

Sending up a thread bat signal! Help please, to put down the sweet things and get back into an intermittent fasting meal pattern.

It's scary how quickly mindlessly eating sweet things on the evening got hold of me again. A few days off turned into 10.

Today is coffee with sugar first thing (am now bouncing off the walls). Meals are omelette, and bolognese with cavolo nero, and apple for afters if I must. Then STOP. Hopefully just writing it here will help.

@Sodullincomparison Loving the touch of international gourmet glamour you're bringing to the thread!

@AnnieHoooo I know that dilemma well! I don't dare venture into the political threads on MN.

AnnieHoooo · 13/01/2023 11:43

@Stravaig I need a kick up the bum too!!!!! I have been focusing on getting active but it's been at the cost of going OTT with portions and potatoes!

Need to get back on lovely salads salmon tuna steak for a treat and away from stodgy comfort food.

Batch cooking and prepping tonight and going to listen to a good podcast instead of telly.

Stravaig · 13/01/2023 12:46

@AnnieHoooo Okay, it's a plan! We can do this!!

🐟🍤🍣🥬🌶️🥦🥕🍅🌽🍠🥑🍎🍓🍒

Active is great though! I'm so so close now.

illiterato · 14/01/2023 16:54

@Stravaig OMG, me too. This week, amongst other things I have eaten (1) a camembert. Yes, that's correct, a whole one. God it was amazing, but still, and 2) An entire tin of leftover quality street/celebrations, that I don't even like!!! Also had loads of wine on Thursday when I'm meant to be on Dry January! It's like I just totally got out of my routine. I know if I can get back into it for a few days, then I'll be back on track but I dont seem to be have been able to get one good day this week.

Anyway, decided today is going to be a good day. No picking. Just made a massive batch of bolognaise and will have that with the kids for dinner and then if I have to go to bed at 8pm to stop me picking, so be it.

illiterato · 14/01/2023 17:00

Also I've kept telling myself it doesn't matter as I'm going for a massive long run, and then it rains and I don't go. So double fail this week- food and exercise.

AinmÁlainn · 14/01/2023 21:56

I wish I'd weighed in yesterday, because today was like your whole week, @illiterato Blush. I had failed an exam this morning so i celebrated it being over with coffee and Danish and most of a bag of wine gums. And then an Indian feast (main, rice naan as bug as the table, bhaji, the lot) for dinner and a lot of wine. I'll roll instead of run tomorrow.

Sodullincomparison · 14/01/2023 22:06

No pasta is safe with me so I am up for a strict clear plan from Monday.

I did have Radhiccio pasta though and mint in my mojito.

we walked 24,000 steps today so trying to balance it all out.

@stravaig little photo for you. DH was completely confused as to why I was taking veggie photos at the market 🤣

Aiming for another 20,000 steps tomorrow and trying to keep this up for the week.

Less lardy part 2
Sodullincomparison · 14/01/2023 22:07

My weight this week has varied daily by 4 pounds so who knows what was going on or what Monday will hold.

Stravaig · 14/01/2023 22:37

@Sodullincomparison 😍 Oooh, proper Italian cavolo nero!

@illiterato @AinmÁlainn It's lovely to have company in completely losing the plot, sounds like a collective reset come Monday 🌱

Stravaig · 15/01/2023 20:26

A few days indulgence turned into a week, and now two weeks. Bit disgruntled that I didn't catch what the trigger was.

Today started with 2 sugared coffees and ended with lots of sweet things, but all within an 8 hour window. I'm calling that a win.

Tomorrow's big goal is only 1 coffee, and repeat the 8 hours.

Not going near the scales until I've had a few days back on track!

Sodullincomparison · 15/01/2023 22:15

I will be weighing in tomorrow to see the damage caused this weekend. time to face the music on it.

back to intermittent fasting this week and we have a step competition happening so I will have to get my snow gear on and get walking.

illiterato · 16/01/2023 07:37

By some miracle I have maintained at 67.9kg but I suspect I’ll get a rebound this week. I did have a better weekend. Quality could have been better but I didn’t pig out and maintained my midday fast. Had one glass of wine for lunch to keep DM company at her bday lunch as DF is teetotal these days.

AinmÁlainn · 16/01/2023 09:14

Fuck sake, I'm back to where I started and it's entirely naan and wine. Hope yours goes better @Sodullincomparison

That's great to have stayed where you were @illiterato against your fears.

Happy healthier week everyone

whyhere · 16/01/2023 14:34

Happy Monday one and all. Exactly where I was last week, which is half a pound over goal, so I'm content with that. I actually ate fewer calories than my plan last week, but was slightly over the week before, so I think there's probably a seven day time lad before it shows on the scales/tape measure.

@AinmÁlainn - don't fret: you've done it before so you can do it again.

Well done @illiterato

Great walking @Stravaig and @Sodullincomparison My lovely daughter and sil gave me an Apple watch for Christmas, so I have no excuse for not measuring my exercise.

Wish I could make myself like salad but it just isn't happening!

whyhere · 16/01/2023 14:35

*time lag!

Stravaig · 16/01/2023 16:16

Crazy jumbled day, but only 1 coffee, 2 shortbread, 2 proper meals and just having a wee bit of dark chocolate. Heading back in the right direction.

Well done everyone who got on the scales 🥳

@whyhere Ooh, fancy!

Sodullincomparison · 16/01/2023 19:21

This morning it was two pounds up at 15’6 and it had been 15’2 on Thursday.

five meals out so no real surprise but I’m hoping it’s some water retention etc

just 10 thousand steps today and seven portions of fruit and veg.

are we ready for the reset in the snow. I am!

Sodullincomparison · 16/01/2023 19:23

Is it bad that I looked out at breaktime and considered giving one of the speedy ever running children phone to go in Their pocket to up my steps?

i haven’t measured a typical day so this was a normal not doing much day.

Stravaig · 16/01/2023 21:00

@Sodullincomparison 🤣🏃‍♂️💨

Sodullincomparison · 16/01/2023 22:43

The snow came and then a power cut here and hit out the lights and heating as well.

tomorrow is going to be an exciting one if the snow continues.

do you all still walk/ run in the snow?

Sodullincomparison · 16/01/2023 22:43

jisr reread and everyone is doing very well at maintaining and hitting their target weights.

@AnnieHoooo hows your week been?
