🥳 Lost 2 stone!
It's beginning to feel real.

Today is the beginning of my 4th month.
Down 3.6 kg in the past 30 days.
Onwards!

Amazing! Well done!

snowday01 · 29/12/2022 09:55

Can I join too please - I'm the heaviest I've ever been - the last time I was this weight I was 7 months pregnant. 10st 6 but I'm only 5ft. None of my clothes fit properly and my bras etc feel so tight and uncomfortable. I've Put on half a stone since November, I keep meaning to get back on track but I've no motivation and keep putting it off we've so much stuff in from Xmas - I don't know whether to start today or wait until after NYE.

illiterato · 29/12/2022 13:56

Welcome @snowday01 . Yes- hop on the Lardy train, headed for Svelteville. We normally weigh in on Mondays but not even strict on that. I am taking a mini break over Christmas and just trying not to go mad, then fully back on it 2 Jan when all my guest have left.

Sodullincomparison · 29/12/2022 14:07

Welcome all newcomers!

@Stravaig that is awesome and you have been so low key about it. It’s amazing, do you feel better for it?

I may have been given a diet Golden ticket today- I bit into a baguette and one of my big front teeth is now a little wobbly.

no matter how tasty something looks, it’s not worth being toothless for before I can see my dentist next Thursday!!!

@Sodullincomparison Oh no! Brave and philosophical of you to see the silver lining. I hope the dentist goes well.

Thank you x
I know I should be feeling amazing at this point, but unfortunately it's all overlaid by viral fatigue! That said, my energy levels are similar to before I started, except then I was faking it with sugar and caffeine, whereas now I have a true read, which feels good.

Lots of early warning overweight niggles have gone entirely, like sore knees or sore back when getting up - can recommend!

@Amazonmulu Thank you!

Final meals of the year! See you all on other side x

First thing: oolong tea, green tea, mumble segments dark chocolate orange

Meal 1: leftover half frittata; shallot, potato, smoked bacon, red pepper, all the green herbs, cheddar

Meal 2: panful red pepper, samphire, salmon fillet, cooked in butter with lemon, lemon oil, coriander leaf

I predict rose water tea and dark choc chip shortbread fingers in a bit!

snowday01 · 01/01/2023 21:27

New Years Day dinner finished and the rest of the Christmas chocs have been polished off ready to get myself back on track tomorrow! Plan is 10,000 steps and some healthier choices!

Sodullincomparison · 01/01/2023 21:54

Happy New Year!

Are we ready for a weigh in tomorrow?

I thought I would just start fresh on this and start again tomorrow with the weight it is for another 10 week focus.

We have a weekend away in two weeks ( argh) and a family holiday in Feb.

My aim is 16 pounds in ten weeks. Nothing too scary or overwhelming.

whyhere · 02/01/2023 08:24

Oh dear.... 2 Christmas pounds to deal with and an inch and a half to lose from my waist to get back to my pre-Christmas levels....

Runnerduck34 · 02/01/2023 10:52

I'm too scared to stand on the scales @whyhere !
The waist of my jeans which was loose before Xmas is now snug.
I think I may have undone all the work since October and be back to square one
:( feeling a bit stupid I didn't stay away the tub of mini cheddars and tins of chocolates. Urgh! Onwards and hopefully downwards.

@stravaig that is absolutely amazing- congratulations

Runnerduck34 · 02/01/2023 11:18

OK thought I was being ridiculous so got on the scales.

77kg
So not as bad as I thought.

76.6kg 19/12/22
78kg 26/12/22
77kg 02/01/23

Xmas dinner must weigh more than I thought!

Will be back on wagon from today

illiterato · 02/01/2023 11:47

@Runnerduck34 I was exactly the same this morning. Am looking pretty "fluffy" compared to pre- Christmas BUT I forced myself to weigh as then it draws a line under Christmas. Our lovely friends left this morning- it's been fab having them here but my God did we drink a lot and ate out a fair bit too.

So...... drum roll..... 69kg. 1.5kg up from pre-christmas ignoring a particularly skinny day of 67kg that I think was just dehydration after a big night Grin.

Am looking forward to Dry Jan and getting back into my exercise routine that completely fell by the wayside over Christmas.

Going to have a shower and then go to Tesco and buy some soup for lunch.

That looks gorgeous!! I love samphire.

Stravaig · 02/01/2023 12:13

@illiterato Mine was from Tesco! Out of season so flown in, but a lovely treat.

You are all fab for braving the scales after weeks of festive temptations 🥳

whyhere · 02/01/2023 12:23

Marks for bravery @Runnerduck34 🙂

AinmÁlainn · 02/01/2023 12:29

Hello, may I join please? I'm the heaviest I've been in years and I feel horrible. I'm 83kg. I lost a lot of weight about 9 years ago but I've put it on a lot again due to covid and a run of viruses and feeling generally run down. Ideally I'd get down to 65kg but 70kg is more sustainable for me so that's my aim.

My plan is 1200-1400 cals per day and exercise 4-5 times a week, restarting couch to 5k, swimming and weights.

Stravaig · 02/01/2023 13:58

Welcome @snowday01 !

Stravaig · 02/01/2023 14:00

Welcome @AinmÁlainn too! Original post got garbled.

Sodullincomparison · 02/01/2023 16:20

So here we are
Current Weight: 15’5

Aim for 1st April is 14 stone

still have a wobbly tooth until the dentist on Thursday and have realised I need to cut the food up into tiny amounts so it is taking ages.

we had many feasts over Christmas so happy just one pound increase.

Positive for the next few weeks.

Sodullincomparison · 02/01/2023 16:22

@Stravaig the Cavolo Nero is currently steaming away.

The whole family is on a five a day challenge.

Less lardy part 2
Stravaig · 02/01/2023 16:33

@Sodullincomparison Yum ~ pretty great getting the whole family on board!

AnnieHoooo · 02/01/2023 20:05

What are you having with the Cavelo Nero @Sodullincomparison - lovely good food.

So this is there I am now:
Current Weight: 15’9

Aim for 1st April is same as you @soul. Those elusive 14's!!!!

Plan is getting right back into routine of eggs, salmon, fish, veg, salad.

I need a challenge too for exercise. Was looking at Own Your Goals Davina and I need a local walking / hills challenge because hills are a killer for me,

All the best for 2023 everyone and welcome to all the new Lardy Ones. Love the username @AinmÁlainn - Lovely River in Gaelic.

Stravaig · 02/01/2023 21:39

Sidles in. Down 1.3 kg since last Mon. Scarpers.
