Thought I'd save you the hassle @poorpaws.

Well done for those who have lost and good luck to those struggling.

My focus at the moment is just to be wiser for food selection and to keep active. The slow moving scales can wait although I did check this morning and showing I'm nearly back to 14 and a half stone.

I’m in as well @poorpaws. for me a kick ass week would be less about exercise because I do manage to get that in consistently , but more about getting the ‘cornerstones’ in every day- water, much less sugar, no snacking on crap and getting 5 a day. I am ashamed to admit that some days in recent weeks I have eaten precisely ZERO vegetables. This is someone who professes to be healthy and also bemoans the fact I feel bloated, hungry, tired, and my skin looks dry and old. Hmmm 🤔 do the maths!

I managed a good day yesterday, I ran and did a hiit class, which left me really hungry by the evening and I was incredibly tired. My food was generally good. I have been enjoying the Skinny crunch/whip bars that you can get from b&m so I had one of those and a hot chocolate at 9.00. Felt like a treat!

today- running with my friend, plus I need to shift a bag of logs to the other side of the garden which involves lugging them a few at a time. I’ve just had porridge and stewed apple for my breakfast. Delicious!

Count me in too @poorpaws ... I could do with a kick start. Weighed in for the first time in a while. Told myself I'd start (again) on 1st March, no looking back and "if only".... so restart is 15st7lb...

So my Easter goal is to weigh 14 stone something.... I reckon I need to have a kick start week of at least 3lb down to get me on my way.

Shall we start tomorrow then? Thursday I know but should we really wait for Monday? It's still 7 days unless of course it's to do with Monday weigh-in.

Let me know if we are all wanting to start tomorrow or Monday or a different day and what you'd like to achieve in those 7 days.

I'd like to do a bit longer dog walk, an exercise dvd every single day and eat a lot less sweet rubbish, maybe replace with cereals.

Yes probably best to start tomorrow, I was doing so well but then cracked and ate 2 lindor salted caramel eggs- they’re 180 calories each!! So tomorrow seems like a good day to start ass kicking!

Ok are we going to weigh in the morning to see how much we can lose? I'm going to, I need to focus and knowing what I weigh on Day 1 helps me. Everyone do what works best for you.

@poorpaws I’m not going to weigh tomorrow, I’ll stick to my Saturday but my aim is to have 7 days where I:

  • stick to my calories and track everything
  • drink at least 2l water
  • eat 5 fruit/veg

sounds mega simple (and it is) but I don’t actually do it most days and wonder why I’m struggling. I need to stop dicking about. I was scrolling through my phone yesterday and there are pics from 2 summers ago where I was a stone lighter and I look very slim, toned and healthy. It’s so within my grasp but it’s like I can’t click the switch. My goal was 1lb a week average and I’m still on track but I think this is the last week where I can get away with it before being in negative equity 😂

tomorrow: meals are planned, I’m at the gym at 6am, and there’s nothing to get in my way.

I'm in from tomorrow but sticking with Friday to weigh myself. I got my blood test results and while there was nothing to worry about, a couple of them that they're re-testing would likely look better with me eating more veg and drinking more water. As you say @thenewaveragebear1983, it's so simple so why the heck am I not already just doing it!

I've weighed in and I'm already quarter of a pound up from Mondays weigh in. Starting "kick ass" week at 11st 2.5 lbs 😕

I also forgot to mention that during this week we post daily with news of our efforts. I'm really hoping this works.

Morning. 96.8 this morning and I’m already a winner because I ignored the hot cross buns and ate my porridge for breakfast. I’m going to try and swim at least 4 times this week, keep within my calorie allowance and drink the green tea twice a day. I was sick yesterday and thought I barely ate but recorded everything faithfully and was horrified that I exceeded my allowance. Biscuits.
I know its not our way to put pressure on any one, but Im just wondering if we could give a few people a little heads up that we are doing this. I’m thinking of Effiesgold wig, but there may be others?

We've started our boost week today, come and join us if you want to. An extra try hard week with food and/or exercise to try and kick start our healthy eating. Post daily for a week with your progress. As always no pressure to join us.

I had a lovely M&S salad for lunch, checked the calories on their reduced price hot cross buns and promptly put them back (180?? There are so many more fun ways of eating 180 calories). I'm also ignoring the new chocolate bars in the free snacks selection at work.
So the day has started well but the evening is where it tends to go to shit. I'll be thinking of you all as I pretend I don't want some mini eggs later.

Just checking in from hols good luck everyone with the week. I'll be back down to earth with a bang and joining you next week. This week is all wine, more wine and lovely but not healthy canarian food. I decided holidays don't count.

Have had to have a couple of naps today. Must have been sleep deprived as just couldn't stay awake. Have done quite a bit of exercise over the last few days, running errands, shopping, housework and a quick visit to the gym.

Just trying to focus on some basics at the moment, sleeping (reducing screen time) and eating better.

Great idea. I'm not going crazy because I'm feeling a bit rough today but I'm going to restart tracking my calories properly because I've been pretty lax

@poorpaws They're even the mini bags so I can satisfy myself that I've had a whole bag of them without hitting an entire 'share' bag🤦🏻‍♀️ But this week they are dead to me and I'm distracting myself with pretzels.

✔️ 45 mins approx. Exercise dvd
✔️ nothing sweet apart from a teaspoon of sugar on porridge
✔️ no snacks
✔️ healthy breakfast (porridge) lunch (parsnip soup) dinner (chicken)
✔️ early night very soon

Yes I am expecting applause, adulation, screaming my name as a goddess in the streets 😂

It's been a very good day.
