Drumroll please...15st 12lbs 😥. I'm tall so can get away with it to some extent but i went on holiday recently and felt the whole time feeling uncool and uncomfortable.

I've been struggling with my weight since coming off the pill over 10 years ago but this is an all time high (or low!) point.

Where to go from here?! I love exercise, and when I'm good with my diet I'm good, but I have such a sweet tooth and can eat a massive bar of chocolate every night. Time to chance though as this is ridiculous.

Anyone fancy joining me to have some accountability?

That's a lot of exercise you've planned in.

I've been out for lunch today and ordered salad (points), refused the chips I was offered (points) but caved and ordered onion rings (no points!)
I was going to drink tonight, cos I'm not working tomorrow, but have decided not to <sigh>

My plans are:
No alcohol during November. I don't drink much anyway so that should be fine. Swimming three times a week, cut down on carbs. I think a stone before Christmas is just about achievable. I've got the day off work tomorrow so booked to go to aqua aerobics.

I'll check in again in a couple of days.

I'm currently doing aqua aerobics 3 times a week @Blowyourowntrumpet
I love it.
I can do things I couldn't hope to do out of water (tuck jumps up to my chest)

I did enjoy the aqua aerobics, but the instructor was a bit OTT. It felt like boot camp. It's normally quite relaxed.
I've put on a pound this week. Need to get back on track

aqua aerobics sounds fun! I need to go swimming more, might try and fit it in this week.

I've had an okay start this week. No alcohol and did my spin class but eaten too much as leftovers and halloween sweets were just there for the taking. But nothing left so feeling more optimistic about the rest of the week ahead as won't be buying any rubbish at the supermarket

@Givemestrengthorvodka aqua aerobics is great. Cheesy music and a good work out, but the option to take it easy if you want to. As you're in the water, nobody can really see whether or not you're doing it "right".

I've been doing ok, but someone left the most enormous cake in the staffroom today, and I cut myself a "sliver".... it was ginormous
I've not had supper as penance

Exercise going well. Not drinking. Haven't drunk since last Thursday.
But I do have the excesses of half term to lose.

I'm surprised by your aqua instructor, Blow.
Cos I think it's usually a given that aqua aerobics is done by people who are less fit or less mobile. Still, you lived to tell the tale 👍💪

This particular aqua instructor is like a Sergeant Major, but it's good workout. I prefer the more sedate aqua classes!!
Well, I've lost the 2 pounds I'd put on plus an extra pound, so my overall weight loss is now 2 stone 3 pounds. I think I'm back on track and feeling motivated.

How dare people leave enormous cakes lying around?! It would have been impolite not to have some though 🙂

Actually, I'd enjoy what you do, I think. At my aqua, I'm one of the youngest (I'm not young), one of the fittest (I'm not thin) and NOT one of the largest (although I am v large).

Lost 3lb this week, which I'm chuffed about. But still bigger than I was before half term. Nearly thee, though. Feeling happy about it. Trepidacious about busy/social few weeks ahead, but will keep keeping on.

And @Rogue1001MNer you sound really motivated too. Are you still of the alcohol? How are you finding it?

Unfortunately I'm letting the side down this week. I've had a few stresses pop in and went in to true self destruct mode on Thu and drank a whole bottle of wine and a massive dessert. Disaster!

Have you weighed GMSTV? Or are you avoiding scales.

I think when one is dieting, you/one focuses of the negatives much more. I know I do. I thought I'd had a "bad" week, but still lost a couple of lbs. Maybe i/we would lose quicker without those things, but we're here, and going in the right direction, so that's got to be good.

I lost 1lb.

Glad it's down. Gutted it's going to slowly. That stone by Christmas is looking ever more unlikely. I'm still not where I was when we broke up for half term. But it is, at least, going down.

If you guys are still here, do you weigh weekly?

I'm still here! Well done on losing a lb! Try not to be disheartened, you are doing so well.
I'm away this weekend so calorie counting out the window but did a couple of fast days last week and felt so much better after each one. I'm going to try to make it a weekly having habit and do 2 a week.

Will check in properly at the start of next week once I'm home.

Hi everyone. Sounds like good progress is being made. I've been in hospital and was nil by mouth, but have more than made up for it when I got home so my weight has stayed the same. Can't exercise at the moment either but hopefully back to normal soon. 🙂

Hope you are okay blowyourowntrumpet!

And rogue a slow loss is still a loss which is great!

I'm back from my weekend and really hoping now to stick to my guns and get a stone off for Xmas. I've really made very little progress since I started this thread quite a few months ago now. My fast days mean sticking to max of 800 calories a day, bit ideally 600 cals if I can. I Will do that 2 days a week and the other 5 stick to healthy food at a max of around 1600 calories I think but will check that.

Well, I ate far too much yesterday and my motivation is still there but slipping a little.

Hi both.

I don't think I could do the fasting thing, but I'm super-impressed.

I stayed the same this week. Snacking at work is my big, big problem and I don't know how to overcome it. Really pissed off with myself. I know what the answer is, and it's simple (don't do it!) but I fail every fecking day.

Still hoping for another half stone in the next few weeks. But we'll see
