One month body blitz starting tomorrow

ONO7 · 19/06/2022 11:01

Anyone care to join me?

I'm starting tomorrow, giving myself a month, to try and sort myself out. One month doesn't sound too daunting!

I have at least two stone to lose, which will obviously take time, I'm not expecting a miracle in one month.

Also, the fatter I get the more I have let myself go so I intend to start using all the beauty products currently gathering dust, and take more care of my appearance.

I know that with a bit of effort, I can make positive visible changes. I really don't like what I see in the mirror right now.

I will post my starting weight in the morning and will make Monday my weekly weigh day.

Hi @Belephant I aim to empty my 800ml bottle by lunch then refill and empty by 1700

I'll also have maybe 3 coffees during the day and probably last drink by 2030 or so or I'd be peeing all night

I find it easy to drink as long as I prepare it prior to starting work
If I get started at my desk or in the clinic without it then no I won't drink a drop 😕

LavateLasManos · 21/06/2022 19:07

I was doing really well today then had a chocolate doughnut in the staff meeting which took me over my calories...d'oh!

Have managed to do a bike ride this morning and a 30 minute Body Pump session after work. Today's self-care is to pluck my eyebrows.

Regarding water intake, I find it helps to have my water bottle nearby and in sight to remind me to drink it.

BeneficiaryMadness · 21/06/2022 19:28

Night time check in!

10.5.0 (+0.04)

Ok I'm reigning myself in now.
I've had tomato and feta salad, 3 ryvita with marmite, a peach, half a wrap with fish and salad, some strawberries and a tablespoon of vanilla ice cream.
I've walked 7400 steps.

CandyLeBonBon · 21/06/2022 19:43

I've snacked on some leftover roast chicken but I'm starving. Got to meet up with a potential client for a bloody curry that I'd forgotten about so I've got to salvage today as best I can!

SummerDays95 · 21/06/2022 19:45

I'm going to join! I've always been thin but after DD2 I ballooned to 12st and have slowly climbed down to 10.5st. I need to be 9st, but can't seem to get any lower than my current weight, so I sort of gave up. A kid I teach asked if I was pregnant yesterday though, so here I am taking this seriously! I miss fitting into my clothes and feeling nice.

So..
1500 calories or so a day
Less carbs and sugar in general
Reframe my thinking - I always want to be proactive and DO something, and not eating feels like the opposite of that. But actually, it is doing something, and it is me taking care of myself. So I need to change my thinking. I did well yesterday (was reading along slowly) and looking good today. Will weigh myself every day just to keep myself motivated and on track.

CandyLeBonBon · 21/06/2022 19:46

So today:
Weighed in at 64.4
300g king prawns
3 scrambled eggs with spinach
50g mature chesddar
75g roast chicken
Berries and green yoghurt

Curry of some description whilst out

NO WINE (boooo but only 2 days off so I can't!)
7500 steps and yoga this morning

Wish me luck

Gryffindoratheart · 21/06/2022 20:00

Evening!

Just checking in! Well done everyone, doing well so far!!

I've kept within my calorie limit for today, managed 10,588 steps, 10 minutes using the skipping rope.

Dyed my hair earlier too - desperately needed to be done so that's my non-weight achievement for the day!

gingercat02 · 21/06/2022 20:17

Good day. Ate well, did gentle circuit class after work, pottered around in the garden and had a bit of a tidy up so up and down stairs a bit.

No wine here either 😪

Still just under MFP calories of 1600 and haven't logged my steps yet so that will help

Keep at it folks

Gufo · 21/06/2022 21:00

7500 steps so far, lots of water, and good food... until a takeaway for dinner! At least it was Turkish so grilled meat and I went easy on the chips!

Also put some fake tan on and took some old nail varnish off.

Brunilde · 21/06/2022 21:33

Evening everyone.

Had a good day today. Kept under my calories for the day. Did 11000 steps, a short ring fit workout and met all my fitbit goals.

I have also shaved my legs, plucked my eyebrows and tackled the slight mustache that had been allowed to take root. And put a little makeup on.

Feeling very proud today and it is already having a positive impact on my general mood.

anybloodyname · 21/06/2022 21:52

Well my breakfast wasn't awful
My lunch wasn't perfect
My dinner could have been better .. but I didn't snack in between , didn't go to the shop to fill up with crap and managed 2.5 L to drink - sugar free squash and decaf coffee

More body moisturiser and dried and straightened my hair , it's normally a fluffy frizzled mess but hey ho not today 🤣

WeAreTheHeroes · 21/06/2022 22:46

I went for a walk, went to the gym, shaved my legs and kept under my calories. Had big, but healthy tea as I had calories left. Also watered the garden - lots more walking and lifting a heavy watering can.

diamondpony80 · 22/06/2022 06:18

Yesterday, Day 2:
Stuck to 1600 calories
Over 11,000 steps
No workout (if I don't get it done first thing in the morning, it just won't get done)

I stopped eating at 6pm but it was SO hard not to keep eating. I can easily fast up until lunch time, but after 6pm I normally tend to keep eating right up until bedtime. I was full after my meal so I definitely didn't NEED to eat, but I was so tempted to go back and eat leftovers, or eat some fruit, cheese, biscuits or any of the stuff I would normally graze on in the evenings. I stuck it out though!

Today's plan:
Fasting all day (alternate day diet)
10,000 steps
Workout

Glenthebattleostrich · 22/06/2022 07:23

Everyone is doing so well!

Ive struggled with food this week so far but today is the day I change that. I'm at home all day so going to do some cooking - mushroom soup, asparagus bites, quiche and some pulled pork in the slow cooker.

I try to stay low carb usually but haven't done well lately, felt awful with hay fever lately. Today I am back on it.

Food plan is -

scrambled egg for breakfast
mushroom soup for lunch
prawn curry from the 800 keto book for dinner

lots of water in the fridge and some lovely mint green tea in too.

Self care is going well, Ive moisturised daily, defuzzed my legs and moisturised and did a hair mask. I've also decluttered my living room shelves, arranged for someone to come look at my equipment as I'm closing my childminding setting in 2 months and decluttered the kitchen. Today is the hall cupboard.

My starting weight is 13st 12.

mamatoTails · 22/06/2022 07:45

Morning all,

Well done everyone!

I didn't manage my 10k steps yesterday, time just ran away and I was so tired by 9pm I went to bed!

Had an evening event with my DDs so I had my eating window between 10-4, brunch with a friend at 10 and an early dinner at 4pm.

Lots of water, and it's now 8.45am and I'm not even hungry!

Off for a slow morning dog walk, definitely time to get my steps in today but it will be a much longer walk later tonight!

Nothingoriginalhere · 22/06/2022 08:23

Well - I haven't been great on food but did do a 4 mile walk on Monday and have just done a 1 mile run ( first run since 10 days of being ill with covid). I am blaming covid for my lack of concentration on being good with food as still feeeling a bit off and its 2 weeks today since testing positive.

However I have also broke my phone so struggling to calorie count or start a fast as I am so reliant on the zero app and my fitness pal to keep me in check!!!
hopefully new phone will arrive in the next couple of days but i have been phoneless for a week now and my life was on that phone .......

right today is a new day so today I will drink 2litres of water, no wine and try and reduce carbs a bit....

FlickyCrumble · 22/06/2022 08:33

So I’m worried about posting as usually it means I go eat everything so here goes.
Monday went well with light portion controlled meals and whopping 19k steps! Yesterday the same but only 16k steps. Both days have been good for me and it’s motivating me.
Today is a wfh day so I’ll be lucky to hit 8k steps and super lucky to not eat throughout the day. Have dinner planned with a chocolate bar for afters but the day is going to be long… good luck everyone

Temporaryname158 · 22/06/2022 09:03

2 days completed now and I’m doing well having done more exercise (did none before) and stayed within calorie limits so far.

I am working from home today so got up at normal commute time and did a 30 min cardio fitness video (unheard of for me) and have planned my days food to stay within limits.

im tempted to weigh again already but don’t want to disappoint myself when not much has changed in only 2 days! 😂expecting a quick result and being annoyed when it doesn’t happen is my downfall

Brunilde · 22/06/2022 09:47

Morning all

Aims for the day:
Eat less than 1200 cal
Drink 2 litres of water
Do ring fit workout
Walk 10k steps
Do some gardening.

CandyLeBonBon · 22/06/2022 10:31

Morning. Down to 64.3 in spite of last night's curry so clearly cutting out the booze is having an effect which is great!

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

bailarbailar · 22/06/2022 10:38

I've had a good couple of days so far but today is trickier. I wfh but people just use it as an excuse to message and email constantly or book meetings over lunch when they're not supposed to (company rules... that everyone ignores).

Today I have a training session over lunchtime so no lunch break or lunchtime walk or exercise for me and it's the stressful danger zone for me where I KNOW I have a chocolate bar in the house (last one tho!) and it's so hard to resist it when stressed

OkyDoke · 22/06/2022 10:54

I'm trying 16:8 today, starting to get hungry! Weighed on my scales at home this morning and was a whole stone lighter than Boots! So I've no idea how much I weigh really.

FamilyGredunza · 22/06/2022 11:02

@OkyDoke
I do find 16:8 does work but I completely forgot and I had breakfast with the kids earlier Confused

CredibilityProblem · 22/06/2022 11:09

Placemarking. Two days WFH due to train strikes, so not a lot of exercise, but I did very well on the food front, resisting the siren call of the fridge, barring a slight panic when I thought the cut price vegetable gyoza I had for supper were disastrously calorific before I realised I was looking at KJ rather than KCal.

The only exercise I got was going to Argos to collect new scales, so I've now got my base line and am targeting a minimum of three kilos loss, over the next six weeks, which will give me more flexibility to wear clothes which are a bit too tight. Another three kilos after that would be great.
