One month body blitz starting tomorrow

Anyone care to join me?

I'm starting tomorrow, giving myself a month, to try and sort myself out. One month doesn't sound too daunting!

I have at least two stone to lose, which will obviously take time, I'm not expecting a miracle in one month.

Also, the fatter I get the more I have let myself go so I intend to start using all the beauty products currently gathering dust, and take more care of my appearance.

I know that with a bit of effort, I can make positive visible changes. I really don't like what I see in the mirror right now.

I will post my starting weight in the morning and will make Monday my weekly weigh day.

@FamilyGredunza I;m sure I will do the exact same thing at some point, but if I can manage 5/7 I'm sure it will be better than nothing!

Belephant · 22/06/2022 12:30

I'm off to Pilates, not new go every week, but should sweat off a bit of beef it's boiling here

FloraGreysteel · 22/06/2022 18:10

Hello everyone! Just checking in to keep my accountability :-) everybody seems to be doing really, well this is awesome!

Had monster ultra zero for breakfast and Chilango chicken salad for lunch again. Just too hot to cook tonight so I tipped a pot of M&S Full fat prawn cocktail over half a bag of iceberg lettuce, and added 80 g of prawns. I am now rehydrating with sugar-free squash in a nice cold bath. Total calories consumed today: 1129 kcals, 21g carbs, 75g fat, 65g protein. I should really have eaten a lot more protein tonight but I couldn't be bothered to cook and I was knackered from work and travel.

Brunilde · 22/06/2022 18:41

Evening everyone.

Had a nightmare of a day as the kids are ill and very needy so not managed to get any excerise in. However that also meant I've hardly eaten anything so that's a plus!

I have ordered a Too good to go bag that I will walk to pick up when they are in bed, so that should get my steps in. Hopefully it might contain a nice treat as I have a few calories to spare now and need a pick me up!

Back, knackered but feel loads better.
Post shower face oil, body lotion and hair serum (oil and serum thanks M&S beauty bag. Epilated my legs yesterday too. We've got this!

Gufo · 22/06/2022 21:36

I've not done well on the activity front but have drunk lots of water. Removed my tash too - so glam here!

anybloodyname · 22/06/2022 22:00

I'm going to shave my legs tomorrow so that will be at least 5 lbs off !!

ZubinB · 22/06/2022 22:02

Not sure if I have done ok/terrible or what today...
Am doing 16:8 - eating window between 12 and 6. Had fruit at 12, then a cheese roll at 3pm, a handful of crisps and then around 6pm finished my son's portion (so maybe half portion) of chippy chips.... not eating now until 12pm tomorrow, so hoping I get away with it...
Lots of water had, but no exercise as have been at work all day.
Am super impressed with how everyone is doing - feels like there is some genuine momentum! Keep it up X

WeAreTheHeroes · 22/06/2022 22:25

You've done 18:6 today if you've eaten between 12 and 6?

Gryffindoratheart · 22/06/2022 22:51

Evening,

Just checking in. Managed over 17000 steps today and remained under my calorie target.

3 litres of water drunk today, and had the willpower to say no to a slice of chocolate cake at work this evening which was very good of me!!

Off out for lunch tomorrow so hoping to remain in my calories for the day...

Feeling good so far, hoping for a good weigh in next week.

ZubinB · 23/06/2022 04:22

yes but I think I had too many calories in that window! Have been trying to eat healthy stuff when I eat, not chips and cheese rolls... 🤪🤪🤣🤣

ZubinB · 23/06/2022 04:24

WeAreTheHeroes · 22/06/2022 22:25

You've done 18:6 today if you've eaten between 12 and 6?

Oh yeah I see what you mean! 18:6 not 16:8!
I always get it mixed up.

Thanks for the head's up!

Eviebeans · 23/06/2022 04:55

Hi everyone
had a good day yesterday. Feeling better. Not finding it too difficult at the moment but I think that's because the weather has been hot here. Doing carb curfew which has worked for me in the past. Have set alarms on my phone for drinking water.

Eviebeans · 23/06/2022 04:58

Don't usually wear make up every day but decided to use foundation with a good spf every day and also to use perfume every day. Small things do make a difference.

FloraGreysteel · 23/06/2022 06:44

Should have eaten more protein yesterday evening :-( I buckled and had half a slice of pitta bread with a modest amount of humous on it at about 9 o'clock because I was hungry and my partner was having some.

Anyway, the "start of diet" lbs are coming off, so that's good. I had some chicken for breakfast and will take some with me for lunch, with some cheese.

Good luck today, everyone! X hold fast!

Hedonism · 23/06/2022 06:59

Yesterday wasn't too bad, I even managed to turn down some delicious looking biscuits at the evening meeting I was at. A bit down on the exercise though as I was wfh so my step count was down.

Today is all about the water... Aiming to drink more (will go and have a glass now whilst I am waiting for the kettle to boil actually), and decide whether I have time to take a long lunch break and go for a swim...

CandyLeBonBon · 23/06/2022 07:13

Morning - had a mad busy day yesterday- leftover curry for lunch and prawn stir fry for dinner and a couple of glasses of wine and about 3 litres of water!

Hopped on the scales this morning and 63.15! So I'm happy with that!

diamondpony80 · 23/06/2022 07:47

Yesterday was day 3 for me. I did my workout, walked 10,000 steps, but screwed up the diet bit.

I did great all day but when it came to 7pm I caved. And once I ate one thing (a biscuit) I kept on going. I won't even list all the crap that I ate, but it was pretty bad.

On a more positive note though, I had still lost a fraction of a pound this morning. Back on the wagon today!

HoneyBeeGood · 23/06/2022 07:56

Morning, just jumped on the scales to have a check and have lost 1.25lbs since Monday. Food all planned out for the day (I find it helps if I plan out all my meals and snacks in advance and input into MyFitnessPal as I'm less likely to snack as I know by how much I go over my calorie allowance). I'm gardening all day today so hopefully that'll help on the exercise front but I'm really lacking in the self care so going to have a shower and do all the shaving/ moisturising now.
Have a good day everyone.

CredibilityProblem · 23/06/2022 08:07

Two substantial but healthy meals (hearty vegan stew with salads from place at work and pan fried chicken breast with rice and cabbage) and a small glass of white wine but no snacks apart from an apple and a satsuma so I'm fairly pleased with that.

I've started weighing my granola for portion size as well which is new to me, but I've got a cute little set of electronic scales in the cupboard which let me tare the bowl then add the cereal so it couldn't be easier.

Brunilde · 23/06/2022 09:20

Morning everyone.

Stayed within my calories yesterday and did just under 10k steps so I'm happy with that considering it was a nightmare of a day. It does go to show how sedentary I was though as I did a 45 minute walk and was shocked that it was only 6k steps, so need to get up and about much more to keep hitting that 10k.

Good start to the day so far. Berries with 0% fat Greek yoghurt and a sprinkling of country crisp on top. I have also been weighing evwrything and counting carbs. Its very sad to see what the actual recommended portions look like once weighed out. No wonder I'm such a heffer!

Have done a bit of a mini facial this morning and will go for a walk with the baby latter to try to get those steps in.

Well done to everyone for checking in even after a bit of a blip. I usually give up the minute I don't quite stick to it so this is giving me the motivation I need. Every day is a new day.

Hedonism · 23/06/2022 10:22

I had 5 minutes before a meeting, so instead of a big glass of tap water I made a proper drink... I have a big glass of soda stream fizzy water, with ice and a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint. Feels like such a treat!

Plus the meeting only lasted 20 minutes, bonus.
