One month body blitz starting tomorrow

ONO7 · 19/06/2022 11:01

Anyone care to join me?

I'm starting tomorrow, giving myself a month, to try and sort myself out. One month doesn't sound too daunting!

I have at least two stone to lose, which will obviously take time, I'm not expecting a miracle in one month.

Also, the fatter I get the more I have let myself go so I intend to start using all the beauty products currently gathering dust, and take more care of my appearance.

I know that with a bit of effort, I can make positive visible changes. I really don't like what I see in the mirror right now.

I will post my starting weight in the morning and will make Monday my weekly weigh day.

Oh and no booze!

Lol! OMG booze can be dangerous.

Cuzco · 20/06/2022 20:18

Once heard booze described as liquid cake which is pretty accurate.

ConfusedByDesign · 20/06/2022 20:22

Today was ok. Not the best.
I was going to only do one meal but I felt very tired by 3pm so had some lentil and veg soup and 3 ryvita with cheese. Had snack of half a mango and a bit of watermelon and some ready salted crisps (oops).
Dinner was some rice and chickpea salad.
Did 10k steps, squats and plank.
I did an after dinner walk instead of snacking. May the long sunny evenings continue 😎

CandyLeBonBon · 20/06/2022 20:57

Just worked out what I've had today and input into MFP:

5 cups tea with whole milk
1 cappuccino with SS milk
1 Blondie cake
Breaded cod fillet with steamed broccoli
Chicken fajitas with 3 flour tortillas
Diet Coke

And no booze

V carb and processed food heavy but am starting slow again!

usernamechangeagain · 20/06/2022 21:14

Started the day off ok, but unfortunately lost track of my mindless eating Blush

ZubinB · 20/06/2022 22:25

managed on cups of tea until 12pm today, then 2 slices of toast, as forgot to take my lunch into work! More tea all day long, then cottage pie and broc for dinner. No eating now until 12pm tomorrow. Brushed my teeth around 7pm to avoid any temptation!
Well done everyone who is trying hard on this.

diamondpony80 · 21/06/2022 06:02

Day 1 went well. I fasted, walked 11,000+ steps (my usual average is about 6000), and did a workout.

Today's plan:
Fast until noon and then eat in a 6 hour window
1600 calories
10000 steps
Joe Wicks workout from the app

mamatoTails · 21/06/2022 06:12

Morning!
Really happy with yesterday, hoping today goes as well!

Can't fast until midday today due to plans already made so will be having my 6 hour eating window between 10-4 as also have plans this evening which thankfully doesn't involve food!

Plan 10k steps again, lots of water and better food choices.

Have a great day everyone.

FloraGreysteel · 21/06/2022 06:32

Morning! I've got the day off work today, so the challenge for me is going to be not "treating myself" as a result. I'm going to stick to the same menu as yesterday: Chilango salad box for lunch and a massive chicken stirfry for dinner. Good luck everyone x

Hedonism · 21/06/2022 07:05

Morning everyone!

I did ok yesterday:
Muesli and whole milk for breakfast
Salad and pitta for lunch
Chicken and rice pilaf for tea
Cherries as a snack.

Also 17k steps.

I'm planning to go for a run this morning as long as it isn't too hot at 9 after the school run. I have some time set aside to read some boring papers for a meeting later in the week so I'm going to do a face mask at the same time. Even if I don't lose weight I will be glowing 😁

Eviebeans · 21/06/2022 07:11

Morning everyone
Yesterday was a better than usual day for me in terms of eating less/better
Made real efforts to drink more water

I feel less "stodgy" this morning if that makes sense
Hope everyone has a good day

Gufo · 21/06/2022 07:11

My starting weight yesterday was 11 stone 6. I was 12.2 at the start of May so have been working hard on this already - old fashioned eating less (16:8 has helped with this) and moving more (hello fitbit - 9000 steps yesterday - I used to barely get above 3k!).

I want to get to 11 stone. What is keeping me motivated is my clothes starting to fit again. I've bought some new bits from Vinted as am back to a true size 14 rather than my belly needing a 16.

I am also motivated by my GP scaring me - I assumed my belly measuring 36 was fine as I am tall and BMI was just about normal. He sent me for blood tests and I have high cholesterol - so no (ok, less) cheese, crisps or sausages for me! My belly now measures just under 34".

I used to be a constant evening snacker - if I can't stick to 16:8, I have a carrot or some walnuts or an apple (or all that) - better than the grab bag of crisps I used to go for! It's not always easy but I read a comment about choices that rang true - 'you can have the snacks or be slim, but you can't have both. Choose which you want more'.

Happy to connect on fitbit too 😊

Today's goals: 16:8, 10k steps, home pedi, wear something nice, water

WheelofLife · 21/06/2022 08:19

Fasted until lunchtime today.Had homemade minestrone soup - no bread! - for lunch and having salmon and green beans for dinner. Did a 30 minute walking workout on YouTube so not bad so far. Hoping my belly will feel slightly less bloated in the morning!

Kendodd · 21/06/2022 08:32

Weighed myself this morning (Tuesday) not yesterday as too late onto thread. 10st 9 I think, heaviest ever. I really want to get to nine stone, ideally just under. I'm 53, 5ft 2in how much can I realistically lose in a month?

ONO7 · 21/06/2022 08:50

Morning, glad to see that you are all on track.

I did ok yesterday, managed 11,000 steps and didn't stuff my face continuously.

I shaved my legs for the first time in weeks and did a full body moisturise. Also wore make up and even removed it at bed time.

Got some unexpected steps in at 2am. The dog was sick all over my bed so I had to change the bed and put a wash on. Every little helps 😁

Morning all Dog walk and 'salute to the sea' yoga sequence this morning. I used to get so flexible and I'm as stiff as a board these days but my health coach gave me sone fantastic resources so I'm revisiting those to get myself moving more!

300g of king prawns to start my day as I'm trying to reduce my simple carb intake and a protein breakfast makes that a bit easier, so I can have sone baby skin-on potatoes at dinner to help me sleep!

Brunilde · 21/06/2022 09:22

Morning everyone!

Didn't get any excerise in yesterday but ate well so that's a start. Got the fitbit on now so have reminders set up to move hourly and I'll be logging my water intake to keep me going with that.

Did my nails and toes yesterday, today's beauty goal is to defuzz my face!

Good luck for another great day.

Ecci · 21/06/2022 11:34

I'd like to join in, please. Weight on Monday morning was 11 st 3.8lbs. I'd like to lose 7lbs in this month. 3 years ago I lost 5 stone (did it slowly, took 18 months). Over the last few months I've put on half a stone and I need to get it off before it turns into many stones.
I've got COVID atm, no taste or smell so I reckon that should help shift a few pounds. There doesn't seem much point eating something nice if I can't taste it.
Normally would do a daily 2 or 3 mile walk with the dogs but not up to it just now. DH has also just bought me a bike, can't wait to do some lovely bike rides once I'm better.
Yesterday had half a slice of toast, an apple, some roasted vegetables, and some porridge. Bit of a random mix but will get back onto proper eating when I'm better.

Belephant · 21/06/2022 11:46

Morning everyone (just about)! Glad you're all doing well.

I woke up this morning to DH bringing me toast in bed. He also then told me he'd made me a sandwich for me to have for lunch whilst he's working. All very kind of him of course, but it does mean I'm having a bread-heavy day so far 😬🤣

On the plus side, I did manage to pull myself together and get dressed in time to take the baby out for a walk for his first nap. No clue how many steps, as I leave my phone in my bag which hangs off the pram which means it doesn't measure steps properly. But I was walking for about an hour.

Like @Brunilde I've set myself some beauty goals for today too - I need to figure out where I've put my epilator and get my legs and arms looking smoother!

I also need to drink much more water, especially with the hot weather. I'm curious, how much water does everyone aim to drink in a day? Do you have a specific amount?

FloraGreysteel · 21/06/2022 13:25

@Belephant I'm aiming for the standard 2 litres of fluid as a minimum.

Floralorial · 21/06/2022 13:29

I didn't do so well last night 😳If food is in the house, I have no willpower! But there is no junk in anymore, and I've had cereal for breakfast and a wholemeal bagel for lunch so far. Dinner will be fish pasta. My plan for evening cravings is a low-cal hot chocolate if I get desperate.

OkyDoke · 21/06/2022 13:44

Hello all, wondering if I can join you?

Have just been to Boots on my lunch break and weighed on their scales - not sure how accurate they are as it says I'm 5 foot 4 and I'm definitely 5 foot 7, but starting weight according to Boots is 102kg.

Had a fairly good start to the day with food, had over night oats with raspberries. Just eaten a pasta salad which probably should have been more veg less pasta but it's a start. Will try not to snack, but have some strawberries in work fridge if I want them.

Got my Fitbit on, generally aim for 7k steps a day as I sit in front of a desk. Currently on 4300 so we'll see how that goes!

Hope everyone is having a good day!

CandyLeBonBon · 21/06/2022 14:15

Scrambled egg and spinach for lunch
