Whether I’m alone in it or not!

I’m totally fed up of filling my face before I ‘start again tomorrow.’ So in a novel approach, I have filled my face before I start again tomorrow.

Anyone else in the same boat feel free to join, but I’ll be back tomorrow regardless Grin

Down to 10st 5lb through sheer hard work. Also hoping not to gain on holiday. Current typical day is yoghurt, low fat crisps, huge chicken salad for lunch with balsamic, and then eggs/omelette/meat plus lots of veg for dinner. Loads of skimmed milk in tea. Low carb does work for me

MistySkiesAfterRain · 06/04/2022 11:43

Well done @DSGR!!!

Have a good holiday @colouringindoors!!!

MistySkiesAfterRain · 06/04/2022 11:46

Well done @MountainSun!!!

3lbs of 7lbs down here, 4lbs to go!!

On my analogue scales I have tipped into a new stone bracket. Obviously the digital ones think I am half a stone heavier so I using the digital ones as the official ones, not that it matters, it is the right direction!

Macanncheese · 06/04/2022 20:09

Good day today got 500 cal deficit so on the right track 💪🏼

MistySkiesAfterRain · 06/04/2022 23:32

Well done @Macanncheese

Need to do a food shop.

Porridge, jam and a banana. Jam is incredibly calorific and not that filling, but nice on porridge.

Roast chicken and veg for lunch.

Cottage pie and brocolli for dinner.

Snacks - 35g green and blacks bar, chocolate emergency.

I've roughly planned tomorrows food as work is bloody stressful so I want to mitigate the risk of me going off plan.

47 days to holiday.

MountainSun · 07/04/2022 00:27

1742 cals today. 1450 is my target for loss but 1850 is my maintenance level so at least it’s not a gain!

Well done @MistySkiesAfterRain !! And all the other losers!!

Awesome @MountainSun. I'm the same weight this morning, pleased to have maintained. Have a good day.

TheyAreMinerals · 07/04/2022 10:19

May I join you? I'm going on a yoga retreat in three weeks and would like to get some weight off before then. Less fat to get in my way! I've been at 75 kg for years, would love to get back to 57 (pre-child weight) but would settle for 65.

I've been trying to lose weight for years but always end up bingeing on biscuits or baking a cake and eating it all myself.

Something finally seems to have clicked though. I've realized I just can't have that stuff except very occasionally.

My approach is to cut out sugar and wheat, also didn't buy butter to spread on my Ryvita. Usually have oatmeal for breakfast with berries, lunch leftover curry or such with some basmati rice, same for dinner. Taking apples to work for snacks. Rediscovered Nakd bars. 135 calories, no added sugar, just fruit. Almost as good as a biscuit. But not good enough to binge on.

Have lost 1 kilo over the last week. Into the 73s!

Good luck to everyone!

MistySkiesAfterRain · 08/04/2022 15:51

@TheyAreMinerals I found not buying butter really helped to break the habit.

Same weight here, in a bit of a rut as I can't cut more calories, and I'm still feeling crappy after the booster. Actually worse as I badly reheated some chicken and has not been good on my stomach. I think I am going to stop counting and weighing for a week and just eat intuitively.

TheyAreMinerals · 08/04/2022 16:06

Just went food shopping. Ate three or four tiny biscuits at a sample table but in the end was able to leave the supermarket without buying anything cake- or biscuit-like. Knew I would arrive home and eat the whole package. Glory be, maybe I've broken the habit.

SnowyMouse · 08/04/2022 17:16

Can I join? I've lost 2 stone 1.5 lbs, and need to lose another 3 stone, although I'll start off with 1 stone!

Rosenborg · 08/04/2022 17:47

Had a good few days and have lost half a stone this year so far. Slowly but surely!

colouringindoors · 08/04/2022 21:56

waves to snowy who I remember fondly from MH threads years ago. 2 st loss is amazing!

Struggled to stick to plan today due to horrendous journey, hunger and nothing liw carb available. Hey ho. Koko

MistySkiesAfterRain · 09/04/2022 11:29

I'm not calorie counting or daily weighing until I feel better from whatever this virus or bug is, but just checking in for a weekly weigh to say I've maintained at 11 st 4.2 so I am happy with that.

SnowyMouse · 09/04/2022 17:50

Hi @colouringindoors !

MistySkiesAfterRain · 12/04/2022 09:04

I'm back in the zone. 200gram loss today.

Achieved on sticking to my 1320 calories and a 45 minute walk. Didn't feel hungry and I can manage a daily walk so I am going to continue this.

MistySkiesAfterRain · 13/04/2022 19:25

1320 calories yest and 400 g loss today.

So 4.4lb of 7lb lost.

MountainSun · 14/04/2022 20:54

So obviously I failed miserably and have had a few days wildly chasing after the wagon from which I fell 🙈

Had fish and chips today. I can’t eat greasy foods, they make me feel ill, but I had it anyway because I’m greedy. Then I had the chocolate ice cream sundae because….well, see above.
And now I’m feeling ill, and will probably spend tonight sitting upright sipping gaviscon. Self inflicted and all my own fault.

I am now firmly back ON the wagon and something feels different this time. I think I might actually do it. What a fucking way to live, constantly worrying about my weight and meals and troughing on crap.

I’ve done a lot of research and made a plan. My goal is to quit dieting. But first, I need to be my goal weight.
I’m going to stick firmly to 1400 calories for a month or so which should take me to my target. Then, I will increase by 100 per week until I’m back at maintenance of 1900.
If all is well, I will then wean myself off calorie counting, and just continue with a weekly weigh in and sensible choices.

Hopefully I will do it this time. I don’t want to be one of those people who spends their life on a diet.

@MistySkiesAfterRain you are doing absolutely amazing!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 you’re inspiring me!

MountainSun · 16/04/2022 22:33

1402 today and lots of miles walked. Really pleased! Not the easiest weekend as there’s a lot of chocolate to dodge but I’m doing ok so far!

MistySkiesAfterRain · 16/04/2022 22:38

Well done @MountainSun. 5 of 7lbs lost here. Big meal planned tomorrow but will make it the main one of the day.

HollowTalk · 16/04/2022 22:45

What's your total weight loss now? I'm intrigued as to how many bad days you've had and wonder whether you would have had as many if you hadn't been dieting.

MountainSun · 19/04/2022 07:32

1405 on Sunday and 2250 yesterday, but it was a family party and a planned ‘over’ so I’m not counting it as a fail.

Good day planned today, and after the good week I’ve had I’m 2lbs down which I’m pleased with. I don’t have much to lose so it’s always a hard and slow slog unfortunately!

MistySkiesAfterRain · 19/04/2022 14:01

I was 11st 4.2 again this morning. I feel like I am hovering at the same weight for ages! Just get me under 11st already. Who knows how I will lose the next stone. Diet of water and air at this rate.

I think I need to go back to strict food logging now Easter is over. I want to lose 8lbs before my holiday.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 23/04/2022 18:48

Back from my break away with work friends. I'd lost 6lb before I went and put back on 3!

Back to it to make as much progress between now and the summer holidays.
