Every year I say I'm going to do it, but this year I'm determined that I have to lose it. I've got my 50th birthday in May and a once in a lifetime trip in October. I don't want to be fat for either.

I've ordered a treadmill. I like walking, but don't like going out before or after work when it's dark so I thought this would get me back into being more active. Eating wise I'm going to follow Fast800 for a boost at the beginning. I'm the kind of dieter that needs to see results quickly otherwise I'm in danger of giving up so I'm hoping this will give me a decent loss at the start and spur me on.

Anyone want to join me in an accountability thread?

Ah thank you everyone! Blush I love it so much! I have some fab 'Mr and Mrs' Irregular Choice shoes to go with it, and a boho-style veil 😍 Just 'needing' to drop these las few pounds and I know that I will have done my best 🤣
So I've managed 2 consecutive days of keeping under my mfp calories, though have slacked off the exercise. Feel like I deserve a reward 🤣

Absolutely gorgeous dress diege!!!

I'm just checking in. I didn't do much exercise last week, feeling extremely lethargic and perimenapausal at the moment. Trying to get back on the wagon this week and so an hr a day. I'm hovering at just over 12st right now so I want to wait to weigh in until hopefully it is 11st something, and that thought has helped motivate me.

@frosties24 I agree! This pair are at the limit of my heel height tolerance, so am thinking of converse for the evening 😅

Tuesday is usually curry night, so seeing what I can make with some sweet potatoes and butterbeans 🤔 I'm a veggie but finding my meals are very 'samey' at the moment. I should add that the kids are having chicken curry- no way would I get a butter bean past them 🤣

Just realised It’s been exactly a month today since I started my “new me” plan and I’ve lost 8 lbs in that time - I’ll take that. It feels v slow week to week but that’s pretty good overall ☺️. I can get bored and de-motivated after a month so need to keep going 💪🏼

Please to report a 2lb loss this last week so that's me under the 11st mark which feels great.

8 lb in a month is a great result @frosties24 !

Thanks all. Fell off the wagon with a chippy tea tonight Blush - I got absolutely wet through to the bone on the way home today and nothing about a healthy dinner appealed. Back on it tomorrow!

Fast800 has fucked up my metabolism. As soon as i started eating normal 1600 to 1800 calories the weight came back
I am doing reverse dieting to try to correct it
Please think about it maybe try a more moderate deficiency

Have squeezed out a pound loss this week which I'm happy with. Hoping it will make all the difference with tomorrow's dress fitting 😂

I think most of us have fucked metabolisms from years of terrible diets! I’m currently doing 1500-1600 calories a day but the loss seems to have plateaued the last week so I may have to drop another 100 calories to give me a boost.

Dress fitting done! Squeezed the f*cker on, though something 'went' when I was bucking my Irregular Choices up 🤣 Back end of March to have the outer layers cut when on me, so a few extra weeks reprieve.
Really feel like having a few days eating what I want, but know (for me) at this age that I can't afford to do that! Maybe some chocolate later 🍫

Well I bucked up enough courage and weighed myself yesterday for the first time since late January. What have I lost? A measly 4lbs since Jan 5th. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
