Not going to be fat and 50!

Every year I say I'm going to do it, but this year I'm determined that I have to lose it. I've got my 50th birthday in May and a once in a lifetime trip in October. I don't want to be fat for either.

I've ordered a treadmill. I like walking, but don't like going out before or after work when it's dark so I thought this would get me back into being more active. Eating wise I'm going to follow Fast800 for a boost at the beginning. I'm the kind of dieter that needs to see results quickly otherwise I'm in danger of giving up so I'm hoping this will give me a decent loss at the start and spur me on.

Anyone want to join me in an accountability thread?

@unicornsarereal72 i’d say mixed results is a fair assessment. How about you? 😬

Thanks for the name check @unicornsarereal72 !

I'm doing ok though I'm finding my weight is fluctuating wildly : one day up by 5lbs, two days later down slightly on my previous weight. So who knows what I actually weigh!

I have cut out chocolate which was starting to creep back in and I'm doing lots of running. I have entered a 10k race on 3 June.

Just need to go a bit lighter on the carbs! Pastry is so good!!

How about you?

Morning all. Slow and steady wins the race. I'm 3lb down I think. And 2 weeks until half term.
Running is going well and I'm doing a 5k race on a few weeks so that's a real positive.

My 50th is in Oct. so I'd like to be at a healthy weight by then Which is achievable. My problem is maintaining a weight after that. I just go back to my bad habits. But it is less and less now that I turn to a blow out. So maybe I've finally learnt some self control

It’s a real slog! Fell off my bike so been limited with my exercise. I’ve lost one stone and I’m pleased with that but I can’t see more coming off before my 40th in 2 weeks now. But I’ve had 2 people I’ve not seen in a while comment on my weight loss in the last week so I’m pretty happy! Will try and lose a bit more in the next 2 weeks if I can. Let’s see how it goes 🤞🏻

@Roominmyhouse hope you are doing ok? I find celebrating maintaining is also a success. I've 1lb to go to 2 stone mark but it's my dd birthday so we have house full of food and birthday plans. So going to try really hard to stay focused.

@unicornsarereal72 hello! Sorry I went awol but I went away for my 40th birthday! I didn’t get to the weight I wanted but never mind. I had a fab tint and dragged out celebrating for a week, ate and drank far too much! I’m going to carry on with my personal training and get back to eating sensibly now and try and get some more weight off!

Hope you and everyone else on this thread are doing well? ❤️
