Hi, here's the new thread for November.

Starting out at 8st9.75 this month. Obviously not a normal month. Personal aim is to eat more healthily and get my energy back.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 31/10/2021 10:51

Thanks octopus, a good aim for us all! Mine is to keep eating plenty of good food and avoid the junk which unfortunately leads to bingeing for me. I'm sad about it as I will miss it Sad but moderation hasn't proved possible. I am glad of increased energy and better fitting clothes and better health, I'm sure. Would love to be 9st or slightly less but maintaining it by end of month.

Greatdomestic · 31/10/2021 11:11

Morning, can I join you please?

I don't have much to loose, but I do have a dreadful sweet tooth and once I start I can't stop.

I committed to losing 5 pounds by Christmas yesterday, which is totally do able if I keep the faith. I need to prioritise getting back to basics, sleep, lots of water, good nourishing food.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 31/10/2021 12:20

Hello, can I please join too? I’m not overweight in BMI terms but could do with losing about 5lb to get back to my pre-pandemic “fighting weight”. We’ve developed bad habits since WFH but DP is going to be in the office one week from two starting tomorrow which I think will help me.

NutellaEllaElla · 31/10/2021 14:51

Welcome newbie and best of luck.
I'm having a lazy day today due to surprise early AF.

LBB2020 · 31/10/2021 21:58

Thanks @Octopus37
I’m back to work this week so hopefully that will get me into some kind of routine etc!
Aiming for 5lbs by Christmas which I think should be achievable!

Octopus37 · 01/11/2021 08:35

Hi, welcome @Greatdomestic and @Judystilldreamsofhorses.

I'm allowed out of isolation today. 8st9.5. Happy November all

LadyDanburysHat · 01/11/2021 09:00

Welcome new ladies.

@Octopus37 good news on the end of your isolation.

I'm starting this month 1lb down on last month. I don't think 5:2 is working for me yet. I think I'm being too generous with my food on my non fast days. Feeling positive this morning, but let's see how the month goes.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 01/11/2021 09:50

Oh god. I have been hovering about 10/7 for the last year or so. On Friday I was 10/8, and today I am 10/12! That must be water, right? I want to be back to my usual weight of 10/3ish, so that seems like a massive way off.

I am dying writing this post. Onwards, though.

LBB2020 · 01/11/2021 14:01

Well done on losing 1lb @LadyDanburysHat Smile Glad the isolation is now over for you @Octopus37, enjoy your freedom!
Definitely water or scales having a funny moment @Judystilldreamsofhorses!
I’m doing ok so far today, 2 coffees and an individual cheese quiche so far today. I actually don’t even feel that hungry (for once Grin) let’s hope I can keep going for the rest of the day! x

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/11/2021 14:55

I'm logging as I have a busy evening!
ONO and cappuccino
Egg wrap with ham and mayo, apple and mandarin
Chicken and tomato pasta with veg.
2L warer, skin and teeth, no junk.

LBB2020 · 01/11/2021 18:27

I’ve finally bought some new scales so I will weigh myself in the morning (wish me luck!)

NutellaEllaElla · 01/11/2021 20:14

Good luck @LBB2020 but whatever it says is just a number.
I'm trying to focus on consistency.
I was busy at work today, and there were no snacks so i'm on target today.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 01/11/2021 20:46

So true re consistency, and getting it there or thereabouts most of the time, that will make a difference over time. Unfortunately I had some Halloween spoils last night and I felt so weak etc but new day today, back to hitting my targets plus an hour of exercise, all is well.

TheHoneyBadger · 01/11/2021 23:04

I basically just maintained in October. Hopefully November can see some progress.

Thanks for new thread. Went back to work today so at least more moving going on.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 01/11/2021 23:52

I weighed myself again at night and was 2lb down. Must have been water weight!

I’ve done 15,000 steps, an exercise DVD, and eaten porridge, chicken noodle soup, then a smaller portion of normal dinner with DP (cottage pie and veg). But did have a slice of carrot cake afterwards. So win/lose.

Octopus37 · 02/11/2021 08:28

Sounds as if everyone is doing well. 8st9.75, actually managed 11,000 steps yesterday cause I had to take the dog to be groomed. Off our to do some work in a bit.

OP posts:
LBB2020 · 02/11/2021 08:53

10st5lbs this morning, not going to lie I’m gutted as it means I’ve put on weight since I last weighed myself a few months back. Never mind, hopefully it’s the wake up call I needed! First day back to work after 18 months of furlough and maternity leave today! Hope everyone has a good day x

LadyDanburysHat · 02/11/2021 10:02

@Judystilldreamsofhorses great that the water weight is gone.

@LBB2020 good luck back at work. I hope it goes well for you.

I am 11st 11.3 this morning. Lowest yet, but this is after a fast day. I need to make sure that I don't go up too much after the fast days.

LBB2020 · 02/11/2021 16:59

Thank you @LadyDanburysHat and well done on your new low!
I think being back to work will help me as I won’t be out buying coffees and cakes every day!

ColleysMill · 02/11/2021 17:06

Please may I join?

11st 9 here, which isn't toooooo bad for me but I feel happier at 11 St 3 (anything less is a bonus)

Last month I proper found my fitness vibe again - this months plan is to keep that up and proper track and sort out my diet !!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 02/11/2021 19:57

Just checking in to say I was 10/9 this morning which is still awful, but better than yesterday!

@LadyDanburysHat that must feel great to be at your lowest! @LBB2020 I am so much more active in work which I think makes a huge difference. I am back in 50% now and my steps on those days are usually about 18000. Welcome @ColleysMill 😊

LBB2020 · 02/11/2021 21:36

Welcome @ColleysMill
@Judystilldreamsofhorses i WFH so haven’t got in many steps but have logged my food on MyFitnessPal and have kept within my “allowance” and have also drank much more water than usual today! (much easier to do when you don’t have to worry about finding a loo if your out Grin)

ColleysMill · 02/11/2021 21:44

Thank you x

I struggle with steps on work days tbh, I tend to aim for active mins a week because I tend to prefer the gym or home weights to walking.

I have tracked religiously today- its the only way for me

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 02/11/2021 22:24

I was at home today too @LBB2020 - 8,500 steps. Rubbish!

Octopus37 · 03/11/2021 07:53

Welcome @ColleysMill.I only managed just over 8,000 steps yesterday. Trying to focus on getting some fruit and veg in at the moment, have definitely been feeling hungrier. 8st10 this morning,
