I have decided to try and sort myself out. I am fat, frumpy and so so fed up.

It is just over 14 weeks until Christmas, I am hoping to lose a stone by then. Surely I can manage to lose 1lb per week.

Anyone want to join me, I realise this is short notice!

@Magdelana I'm so pleased you've managed to get support for your DD. Hopefully this is the road onwards and upwards for her. I suffered very badly with my MH as a teen, in my 30s now and loving life, so there really is light at the end of the tunnel.

Definitely don't put yourself under too much pressure regarding diets etc. Much more important to look after yourself and your family for now and come back to it when you've got the mental space for it.
I'm sorry to hear.you have Fairweather friends. No such thing as perfection and you never know when it will be you that is afflicted in some way by anything. So people can pretend they don't want to be involved but really we should all be far more empathetic. You can always chat on here Smile

MrsSoft · 22/09/2021 07:30

@Magdelana I'm am glad that you have managed to get help for your daughter, hopefully things will soon get better.

Wonder why @Magdelana messages were deleted?

I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and just saw a fat blob! It made me so sad after having a great week of exercise and diet. I just have to remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day and it’s good that I’m just feeling better and looking after myself.

Rainallnight · 23/09/2021 09:28

Sorry, naked. I looked in the mirror naked.

@Magdelana, that sounds so tough. Flowers

Keladrythesaviour · 23/09/2021 09:47

@Rainallnight - I'm exactly the same and it can feel demotivating. Have you tried taking pictures of yourself? That way you will be able to see the difference in a way you can't when just looking in the mirror. That or measuring your waist, chest and thighs?
You absolutely can do this, and slow and steady is better than crash dieting!! I'm absolutely sure you don't look like a fat blob!! But the mirror is a harsh critic, I'm well aware Blush

MrsBillyNoJagNoMates · 23/09/2021 16:03

@LastStarfighter

I’m just under 6ft and weight 108kg. I’d like to get down to 100kg by Christmas and 95kg by next summer.
So in stone that’s currently 17st. 15st10 by Christmas. 14st13 by next summer. I’ll be very happy with 16st by Christmas though.

Hello Laststarfighter was just going to join this thread when I saw your post
I am exactly the same, weight/hight/goal weight etc
🤞 we'll get there by Christmas

Hello everyone, hope it's OK to join you
I was on one of the threads here ages ago when I lost a few stones and found the support here very helpful
Now it's time to get rid of what crept on since and tiny bit more
So I updated myfitnesspal today and planned some meals
Weighed myself
And did one of short YouTube exercises
(Helps to be off work)

Toastiemaker · 24/09/2021 07:09

Jello all - thanks for your updates, its really helped staying focussed.
This week is week one for me and 2lb off! Whoop whoop! A mixture if no snacking between meals or as I'm cooking (sometimes I ended up having two teas!) And started the couch to 5k plan.
I might go sober for October too as willpower is seemingly strong now... Happy Friday! Smile

SaltySheepdog · 24/09/2021 18:08

Well I’m still 11 stone, went of the rails a bit due to birthday celebrations but tomorrow is a new day

SaltySheepdog · 24/09/2021 18:10

So start of September 11.5

Today 11

I too have seen some awful photos of myself. Real wake up call

Lexie365 · 24/09/2021 18:13

Well done everyone!! I have avoided weighing these last few days as is time of the month but on day 4 now so water weight should be gone lol so checked my weight and am weighing in at 11st 7lbs so 1.6lbs lost which isn't as much as usual but is good considering af

Keladrythesaviour · 24/09/2021 23:03

@Lexie365 AF is a nightmare for weight isn't it, all bets are off when I'm on!

Going into the weekend at 11st 5lbs, which I'm happy with. 2lbs lost since Monday Smile there's a chance I might get another lb down by next Monday but we've got friends over for a BBQ on Sunday so I'm doubtful. I'll be happy so long as I don't put any lbs back on! Buffet style is the worst for me as I'm a total grazer. I can't stop picking! At least with a set meal I can control myself as once it's gone, it's gone...

Hartleyhare1206 · 25/09/2021 09:31

Morning everyone
Weighed this morning - 12st 9.8lbs - a loss of 0.6lbs.
Can’t decide whether I’m pissed off that’s all I lost when I tried so hard or think that it’s better than STS or gaining.
I’ll get back to you 😄🙈
Hope you all have a lovely Saturday, well done to all the other “losers” this week xx

Uninspiredusername · 25/09/2021 11:50

Hi everyone, is it too late for me to join? I’ve given my lifestyle a little overhaul the last two weeks and I’m looking for like-minded people to help give some more motivation!
I’m 5ft 5lb and was 12 stone 13 at the start, weighed 12 stone 11 today. Just finding it a hard slog but know I need to remember this is a long term change as my lockdown lifestyle wasn’t great.

Clomid1 · 25/09/2021 13:28

I’ll join.

Need to find my fitbit to charge it up.

Exercise: 30 min jog + 10000 steps a day
Meals:
Breakfast: 2 eggs or yoghurt and fruits
Lunch: rice paper wraps
Dinner: soup

Snacks: nuts, veg, fruits
Water: 2 litres

I need to lose weight to have a baby. It’s really making me depressed and I am an emotional eater. Please give me other meal suggestions too, low prep time preferred

Anyone tried Intermittent fasting if so which one?

Rainallnight · 25/09/2021 18:11

Well done to everyone carrying on through the weekend! I’m going to dinner at a fish restaurant tonight. Have to try not to go crazy on the white wine Shock

Does anyone have any good breakfast ideas? I’m not following any particular diet, just calorie counting. I think of a bit of protein would help keep me going.

Similarly, I need ideas for this time of the evening - we usually don’t eat till 8 and the temptation to fall face first into the kids’ dinner is very strong.

veryanonymous · 26/09/2021 10:31

Well, I weighed in today and in spite of having a snack-free week and moderate exercise I an the same weight and size Sad. It’s probably the splurge of a meal out and three cocktails I had on Friday evening

Never mind, I will try a bit harder this week and hopefully there will be a shift next Sunday 🤞🤞

Mamamia35 · 26/09/2021 20:10

I'm 11 stones today. Stuck with the home made soup for lunch, and being organised in dinner planning. That seems to be working well for me.

roomfulloflove · 26/09/2021 23:45

Hi there,

I'd like to join this thread if I can?

I'm 5'6 and 12 stone, and it's all on my belly- now on my shoulders too - with quite slim arms and legs so I look totally unbalanced!

I slimmed down easily in hindsight after both my children, but getting divorced 6 years ago moved me from 10/12 to 14/16. It's not changed since, although to be fair I haven't tried very hard. I keep waiting for it to just fade away like it did before, but that doesn't seem to be working.

I saw up thread about majoring on eggs and veg, I think I'll try that. The moment I get a teeny bit hungry I just panic and eat and eat. Hoping eggs will keep me filled up.

Losing a stone would make a massive difference to the way I look.

Would love to actually be a size 12 again too - surely it can't be that hard??

Mum5net · 27/09/2021 07:07

Oh dear, lost 0.1 kg. That’s in two weeks. Need to step up now like everyone else.

MrsSoft · 27/09/2021 10:04

I've not posted for a few days. Have had a really bad cold and felt rubbish.

My weigh day was Sunday and I lost 2lbs.

Well done all of you for sticking with the plan, and hello to the new joiners.

roomfulloflove · 27/09/2021 10:53

Ooh I just weighed myself and I'm actually 11 stone 3, not 12 stone like I thought!
So now my target is to get to 10.5 stone by Christmas.

The dream would be to be a size 12, as my shoulders and stomach look massive in photos.

So far had large bowls of porridge with raspberries
Cup of tea with full fat milk
Flat white with oat milk
Berocca to drink

As I type I realise I eat and drink a lot - always!

Fitbit is broken, but done 30 min walk and hung out the washing.

I'm also doing couch to 5k app (on week 3) so will do that tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone this week!!
