Chubby Mum looking for online friends to shift a stone with.

5 minutes of ring fit and 10 mins of yoga this morning so expecting to have lost a dress size by tomorrow.

Please join me so we can turn up at the school gates in September with glowing skin and smaller muffin tops.

Good morning, would love to join you!

I, so far, have not had a second coffee with sugar so pretty sure my jeans will fall straight off me this morning. (When I finally get dressed).

Seriously, I would like to lose around 10 pounds. I am not going to ban any food groups just eating less and moving more. (So simple!).

What's your plan?

Boombadoom · 19/08/2021 10:05

I’ve been talking about losing a stone for the last 6 years! Will I finally do it?!

Keroppi · 19/08/2021 10:07

I'd love to join too! Would love to lose more than a stone but even a pound right now would be progress!

I'm heading to a mum and baby spin class soon however I had chocolate and jam on toast for breakfast after a night of Teething Hell. Nevermind! The rest of the day is planned healthy, soup for lunch and I'll make chicken curry for dinner.

I also have ringfit but I haven't played it since xmas Blush

Trumpetpants · 19/08/2021 10:13

Hi, I'm trying to lose a stone by 18th Sept, had lost 5lbs in first week but then accidently ate a packet of Belgian choc biscuits in the night....
Oh dear, hoping to pull this back. Have actually got 4 stone to lose but breaking it down into smaller chunks makes it seen possible.
We can do this!

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 19/08/2021 10:18

Yay! Hello fellow chubby mums.

@Blackopal great plan. This is exactly the same as mine. I can shift a stone on the low carb boot camp, but I can’t maintain it and it makes me feel ill so keeping it simple with eat less crap and move more.

@Boombadoom Yes!!

@Keroppi you’re a hero going to a class after a bad night. Teeth are bastards.

I might do C25K if my knees are onboard. In the past it’s made me eat more, but suppose it’s good for the heart.

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 19/08/2021 10:19

@Trumpetpants biscuits are also bastards (yummy bastards)

OP posts:
Bakethecakeeatthecake · 20/08/2021 08:39

Good morning.
Hope everyone dodged the biscuits yesterday.

Small wins here, portion size at dinner was sensible instead of eating more because it was lovely rather than I needed it. I charged up my ancient Fitbit (my children put it on and ran around the house, but we'll ignore that small detail)

Today’s plan is yoga, ring fit, avoid the ice cream in the freezer and drink lots of water.

OP posts:
Keroppi · 20/08/2021 10:44

Morning! Yesterday was good if carb heavy.

Today I also plan on drinking lots of water and it's leftover curry for dinner tonight. I'm out for a walk and then will ringfit later on! We got this!

Trying to treat myself with "self care" instead of choc so will paint my nails tonight, I guess Halo

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 21/08/2021 17:36

Hi All, can I join?
I've lost 10lb in the last month but still have a couple of stone to go. So I'd like to lose another 10lb in the next month.

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 21/08/2021 18:15

@Coffeeanddarkchoc congratulations that’s fantastic. How have you achieved your loss so far?

@Keroppi how did the self care idea work?

Forgot to do any exercise today so better do something now!

OP posts:
TonkinLenkicks · 21/08/2021 18:32

Ooh can I join? Still got a bit of baby flab that won’t shift although I am partial to a cream bum 😬 I’ve lost 10lbs already, just want to lose another 5 or 6

alphabetspagetti · 21/08/2021 18:32

I'll join you on Monday. Tomorrow is the last day of a fortnight's holiday here and I have eaten an extraordinary amount of ice cream, fry ups, pastries & pub grub.
Having had a fry up & porridge for breakfast, I am feeling somewhat virtuous for having only had an ice cream for lunch. It might have made a bit more sense to have an actual meal but, hey, the sun was actually shining for pretty much the first time during our holiday.
Three course dinner in a smart restaurant tonight so I am about to put on a dress I bought before we came away. Wish me luck!

Mommabear20 · 21/08/2021 18:45

4 weeks postpartum here and desperate to shift the baby weight!
I'm terrible at eating healthy though, especially now I've got 2 under 2 to run around after 🤦‍♀️

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 21/08/2021 19:11

Thanks @Bakethecakeeatthecake I have the help of a PT by whatsapp whos giving me a set calorie limit and 5 x 30 min exercises a week to do.

Luckily I'm allowed to have snacks within that calorie limit so I'm not feeling restricted, and the workouts are short meaning by the time I get bored of it, I'm almost finished.

I've been sick this week and was under calories a couple of days, so he's told me to have a small takeaway treat tonight, then back to being good tomorrow.

I wish I did this ages ago.

Hi everyone else Smile

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 21/08/2021 19:52

Welcome fellow Mums with extra chub. 👋🏼

Congratulations @Mommabear20 be kind to yourself, you’ve just made a person!

@alphabetspagetti enjoy your dinner.

@TonkinLenkicks well done on the 10lbs off.

I’ve just had a takeaway, not exactly diet food, but some things can’t be compromised on.

Mommabear20 · 21/08/2021 20:08

Thanks @Bakethecakeeatthecake 😊 not going into anything to restrictive or strenuous straight away as I know my body is still recovering some what, but I know the longer I leave it the more 'normal' this weight will become, and the last thing I want to do is get comfortable and then look back in a few years and think 'oh god! Did I really look that bad?'

Keroppi · 21/08/2021 20:22

Hey all! Hope everyone's weekend is going ok.

@alphabetspagetti YUM sounds amazing. Hope the sun stays shining for you!!

@Bakethecakeeatthecake Nails and toenails painted and hot bath! The bath made me so tired I went to bed immediately, avoiding the snacks downstairs.

No exercise yet today so far, bar a short walk. Went for a lunch out so am quite stuffed. Might do a kettlebell video as it's faster than Ringfit, but I do find Ringfit semi fun after a while. Ugh! I wish I enjoyed exercise of any form. People say to find your sport but I've tried them all!

DollyPartBaked · 21/08/2021 20:37

Can I join? I'm due back to work in a couple of months after mat leave and have 2 stone to lose (combination of pregnancy and lock down!) so definitely meet the criteria. I haven't worn jeans since March 2020 largely because they do not fit!

I have set my self the very modest goal of losing 1.5lbs per week but sadly this week (due to actual having a social life for a change!) I'm failing so would appreciate the support group Grin

MadeinSW3 · 21/08/2021 20:52

Hi everyone, I need to loose 10lb minimum. I tried to kick start over summer but ended up having lots of meals out and then a viral bug where I ate a huge pack of biscuits most days so back to square one!

I find it really hard with 3 toddlers and feeling tired. My weakness is sweet treats, I don’t agree with banning food groups but I need to just not have them in my house going forward as I have no self control and can easily eat half a loaf of bread with jam too on an afternoon.

I’m going to start calorie counting Monday and planning to expect to eat out maybe once a week.

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 21/08/2021 22:01

Hi @DollyPartBaked and @MadeinSW3 welcome and good luck with the weight loss.

OP posts:
Coffeeanddarkchoc · 22/08/2021 09:18

@Bakethecakeeatthecake hope you enjoyed your takeaway Smile

Congrats on your little one @Mommabear20

We're taking the kids swimming today so I have to find a swimsuit that fits me Blush. Just finishing breakfast then heading to the shop to see if I can get one. I've had the same breakfast every day this week - toasted slim bagel with light cheese triangle. I'm loving it at the minute and its only 160.calories which leaves me more calories for later in the day. Evenings are my worst time when I cant stop myself from eating.

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 22/08/2021 18:00

@Coffeeanddarkchoc did you find a costume?

Managed to haul everyone off the sofa for a walk today. If I’m honest I’m really not putting enough effort into this. I need more fresh veg and decent protein.

OP posts:
DollyPartBaked · 22/08/2021 18:05

@Coffeeanddarkchoc me too evenings are the worst! I am now trying to limit myself to low calorie yoghurts or options hot choc as I love sweet things!

My main go to breakfast is natural yoghurt and fruit at the moment as I'm largely following weight watchers.

Going to pick up some of the triangle cheeses as they're a good snack! And some light babybels too while I'm there!

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 22/08/2021 18:49

Just as I was about to go, I remebered about a maternity swimming costume I had. I found that and managed to squeeze into it so didnt have to buy a new one Smile. 10 mins into the swim though, I realised I forgot to take off the vest top I was wearing which was the same colour as the swimming costumeBlush. Lucky I had a fleece with me or I would have had to leave the pool wearing that wet top.

@Bakethecakeeatthecake its so hard though to eat protein and veg. Why are carbs always so much more appealing Sad

@DollyPartBaked my evenings are now kitkats in every flavour you could think of (because they are all 105 calories). The dark mint ones are a firm favourite though and really fill a gap. Your breakfast was the breakfast I was originally supposed to have - natural yoghurt and fruit but Im not a massive fan of either and cant bring myself to eat those two things together. The low cal cheese triangles are only 30 calories, well worth it Smile

DollyPartBaked · 23/08/2021 08:58

@Coffeeanddarkchoc - I actually mix in a teaspoon of syrup most days. Not sure of the calories for this but it's only one point on WW and does make a big difference!
