Chubby Mum looking for online friends to shift a stone with.

5 minutes of ring fit and 10 mins of yoga this morning so expecting to have lost a dress size by tomorrow.

Please join me so we can turn up at the school gates in September with glowing skin and smaller muffin tops.

@Bakethecakeeatthecake oh well done for dropping into the right bmi!

@Coffeeanddarkchoc what a stressful day! Being under calories is good though.

@LittleFroggie that sounds like a healthy day. Some nice food inspiration there.

My stomach bug seems to have cleared up now. I had some dry biscuits around lunch time then managed a small dinner.

Weigh in day tomorrow.

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 02/09/2021 21:46

Glad you’re feeling better @shouldistop

Weighed in at 11st13lbs - 5lb loss mainly due to the stomach bug but hopefully I can stay the same this week with fasting.

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 03/09/2021 06:52

Thats amazing that you managed a run @LittleFroggie. And well done for not caving with the curry.
I would love to go running but I cant seem to get the technique and brrathing right, then end up getting dizzy Confused

Glad youre feeling better @shouldistop - thats a big loss!!

I'm so glad its Friday Grin

LittleFroggie · 03/09/2021 16:47

@Coffeeanddarkchoc You should try “Couch to 5k”. I’m really not that good at running but I find loud music, a set time each day and a set route in mind helps. I only ran about 3k and I was buzzing afterwards!! I go straight away after the kids are in bed, no excuses and no sitting on the sofa else I won’t go. Straight out, back home just over 20 minutes later feeling brilliant, really quick shower and new pyjamas on. Whole thing takes about half an hour and I’m so much more relaxed then.

Really happy it’s Friday too! May even have a cheeky glass of Pinot tonight - it’s all about moderation, right? Grin

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 04/09/2021 08:49

Happy weekend everyone. What’s everyone got planned?
Hopefully I’m getting us all out for a walk today. There’s been a chocolate cake hanging around all week. Under normal circumstances I’d have eaten it all by now so small win.

I'm going for a massage this morning then dh is bringing the boys into town to meet for lunch. We'll probably all go to our gym for swimming / classes tomorrow.

Another pound off today 11st12lbs - I always say I'll only weigh once a week when dieting but end up weighing every day. I shouldn't because then I get disheartened if I put a pound on mid week instead of just looking at the over all loss.

Dh bought treats last night and I resisted.

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 04/09/2021 11:36

Weigh in day today and I'm down 3 and a half pounds this week! So hit a stone off this week Smile. That took me 7 weeks to get here.
But this is why when I'm trying to lose weight I always look at the bigger picture, because I could do the exact same thing for 2 weeks and could lose half pound 1 week then 3 pound the next!

Still another 3 stone to lose but at least I am on the right track!

I'm working today to try and get ahead for the week but will be having fish and chips tonight as I had it last weekend and it didnt sabotage my week Smile

I'm also enjoying my new fluffy pyjamas this weekend. Went to town this morning but put them back on again while WFH and will probably stay in them for the rest of the day!

shouldistop · 04/09/2021 11:44

@Coffeeanddarkchoc a stone is amazing! Well done to you.

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 04/09/2021 19:11

Congratulations @Coffeeanddarkchoc that’s amazing

How did everyones Saturday go?

I had my saturday night treat so now back to being good.

I moved a lot of heavy building materials this morning so I'm counting that as my workout for today. Will hit the rowing machine then tomorrow.

Havent decided what to have for dinner yet today, what is everyone else having?

shouldistop · 05/09/2021 12:03

@Coffeeanddarkchoc I didn't eat healthily yesterday but I don't think too many calories, couple of pancakes, small bit of chocolate, toast with peanut butter.

We're going to MILs for a roast dinner at 5. I had a bowl of bran flakes at 10am, think I'll have apple, oatcakes and a bit of cheese for lunch.

LittleFroggie · 05/09/2021 21:21

I’ve had a weekend of treats!!! On the positive side, I have stuck to my training each morning and running each evening - 30 minutes morning and 3km run at night. I’m really chuffed with that. I’ve also had 80% fab food and lots of fresh veggies and fruit. However, I had 2 glasses of cava yesterday and today DH bought me a strawberry magnum at the park Shock obv I had to eat that… Confused. I’m trying not to berate myself because if I’m making long term changes, I’m always going to have treats especially on the weekends. Preparing my lunch for tomorrow now, planning to stick to 100% fab food this week mon- fri and no more treats until next weekend.

Shefliesonherownwings · 05/09/2021 21:53

Hi all, not a great weekend for me. I came on my period on Friday so I’ve been feeling bloated and then I went out for dinner that evening. I didn’t eat too badly but had a lot of wine. Of course yesterday I was hungover and all I wanted was carbs which was all I ate I couldn’t a take away for dinner. Today I was on track to do better until we unexpectedly went round to my in laws and ended up having garlic bread with dinner and cheesecake for dessert. The scales showed a gain this morning but I am bloated because I’m on my period so I’m not feeling too disappointed.

It’s two weeks until we go away so I’m going to try to be really good for these next couple of weeks. My back is feeling better so I’ll hit the gym and be good with food all being well

shouldistop · 06/09/2021 06:47

@Shefliesonherownwings I can gain about 3lbs when on my period so don't be disheartened.

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 06/09/2021 19:05

Sounds like a fun weekend was had by all Smile

My period came on this morning and my 7yo now has to self isolate for the second time in 5 weeks, so I expect there will be lots of comfort eating from the stress over the next few days!

Shefliesonherownwings · 06/09/2021 19:31

@shouldistop thanks. The scales showed a 2lb gain but I’ve been good today so fingers crossed there’s a decent loss this week 🤞🏼🤞🏼

FairyWings4 · 07/09/2021 08:33

Hi! Just read the thread and is it ok if I join in?

I have about a stone to lose after baby #3 who is now 7 months old. With the previous 2 the weight just fell off but not this time :(

I've cut out biscuits/unhealthy snacks and reduced portion sizes so far. Kids are all under 4 so squeeze in 'proper' exercise such as running and weights where I can.

I find I slip up and eat rubbish when I've had a stressful time with the kids so just looking for some moral support from others going through similar. Smile

Thanks x

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 07/09/2021 12:11

Welcome @FairyWings4

So it’s back to school tomorrow and I am neither glowing or slimmer. Not sure if it’s due to hormones or biscuits, but the weight is sticking firm these days and seems harder than ever to shift.
I’ll have more free time to exercise and meal plan soon so hopefully that will help.

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 07/09/2021 19:40

Hi @FairyWings4

@Bakethecakeeatthecake it just seems to get to a point where it doesnt want to shift at all doesnt it Sad. Good luck with the back to school tomorrow.

I had a stressful day and really want takeaway now. And We're back to homschooling tomorrow with DC having to self isolate Sad

Bakethecakeeatthecake · 07/09/2021 19:42

@Coffeeanddarkchoc oh no. Good luck

Shefliesonherownwings · 07/09/2021 21:25

Hi all. A better day here, managed to have three healthy meals and minimal snacks but have had a glass of fizz this evening. Not been feeling great mentally and I know it’s bad to self medicate with alcohol but I figured one glass is ok. Sat outside in the evening breeze as well to see stress which was nice. Hope everyone is ok. Good luck @Coffeeanddarkchoc, hope the self isolating is relatively pain free.

dawnwalk · 08/09/2021 10:47

Can I join? I have 3 stone to lose and have just been gaining since covid hit. Need to start going in the other direction and ideally fast!

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 08/09/2021 13:26

Hope drop off went ok this morning @Bakethecakeeatthecake

@Shefliesonherownwings one glass is definitely ok! Self isolating is ok so far, DS is being good. I'm just so annoyed as I was meant to go to a family wedding today that I now cant go to due to no childcare.

Hi @dawnwalk and welcome Smile

What meals do you all go for when you are fed up of cooking? I'm just not in the mood for cooking today.

dawnwalk · 08/09/2021 13:59

My go to easy meal is fried or scrambled eggs with salad and a wrap or bought cooked chicken breast with Mayo or chilli sauce on a bed of salad.
