Crossover Thread for Conception x Weight Loss

A thread for ladies TTC and TTLW (Trying To Lose Weight!). Maybe your worried your weight is impacting on conceiving, maybe you're thinking ahead to a healthy future pregnancy and birth, making you're planning fertility treatment and want to ensure you meet criteria.

Guys, I twisted my ankle running 😭

I think that’s my couch to 5k progress out of the window, as well with anything else involving both feet for a little while.

So yeah, not sure what to do about that other than try to eat less I guess? Ugh.

I went for a run today, it was hard after having 6 weeks off (IVF cycle).

I still feel in holiday mode with food but I'm trying to be as good as I can where I can.

I have had an odd food day as I felt nauseous again. I had porridge for breakfast but for lunch I had some tofu, a load of salt and vinegar flavour pea crisps (68% pea protein) and some grapes.

Dinner was creamy garlic prawns in wholewheat pasta 😋 it was so yummy and I don't feel sick 🙌

@thislittlebird gosh running is so mean to you isn't it! Focus on exercises you can do without using your feet? Eg ab exercises on your back, press ups on your knees etc?

@kay00 your food sounded delicious - yum to creamy prawns!

I did 90 minutes of kung fu after work yesterday and got 11k steps as well. Aiming for minimum 10k steps today again and hopefully a body combat class also?

I've been good on the not snacking front but my lunches and dinners still probably add up to maintenance... I thought starting a new cycle would help on that front but looks like I can't blame my gluttony on progesterone after all Grin

I’m going to have to do something that doesn’t involve feet and standing. Today I laid around feeling sorry for myself, eating badly, and I then I ordered kfc lol

I had Courgette pizza for tea 😅 (1 courgette halved and bakes, topped with tomato puree, spring onions and cheddar) which was pretty basic and not very big, but I just didn't fancy anything else

I have a games night at a friend's tonight and there will likely be crisps and chocolates to munch on... I intend to avoid them all 😇🤞

Gah I weighed myself this morning and I haven't progressed in two weeks now lol. I was aiming to hit 72.1kg this month and it was totally doable at the start of the month and now I've gone and scuppered it...

@thislittlebird haha loving the KFC. Get back on it today! Don't worry about exercise too much when weight loss starts in the kitchen after all :)

I weighed myself and came down to 9st 12 (about 62.5kg) so a little win. @Juno231 do you think you have stayed the same because of all the exercise you are doing? Do you measure you legs or waist at all? Perhaps you are slimming down?

I had my usual porridge for breakfast today (all good) and had a wholemeal bagel thin with feta and avocado for lunch (all good). But... I was a pig and also had a slice of white bread with cheddar cheese and chutney.

I just really fancied it, and it was so yummy... but my stomach hurt afterwards, and I was just sick Sad, so i think I pushed my luck with the carbs this lunch time. I feel annoyed with myself now Angry.

@Kay00 well done with the weight loss. I've been to the gym this morning and just jet washed our drive absolutely back breaking job. I'm on 17k steps already though and another dog walk left for this afternoon. It's my birthday on Monday and I have a few meals out over this weekend so I can't imagine my good intake will be great, oh wellllll.

@kay00 oooh what I would do to be your weight again! Sorry you were sick though :( I don't think my stagnant weight is exercise related, I'm just eating at maintenance lol...

Saw myself in the changing room mirrors at Hobbs yesterday and could have cried - everything is just so fatty and jelly like! Very unappealing.

@Juno231 I didn't do too well today, had three biscuits, a salad and 2 slices of toast. Could be worse. I'm going to try to do low calorie next week, I guess. Not my favourite brand of eating. I also bought a inflatable punching thing, to get some cardio in!

Well done @Kay00.I have definitely not lost weight and I'm scared to weigh myself again. Maybe after a good weekend I'll think about it. I too would love to be 9st 12. If I could get back into the 9s before IVF I'd be happy.

Changing room mirrors are cursed, Juno. Hate them.

Thanks ladies... its only 1lb loss, but I suppose I'm not really trying to loose too much. I'm not very body confident, despite not weighing very much, as I still have quite a big belly. So I hate wearing dresses and since Covid I have been fully rocking the frumpy jumpers and comfy (old/saggy) jeans Grin haha! My poor OH Wink I used to wear super smart office wear every day Grin and now I'm dreading the return... I think I will start with smart casual and see how I go.

In other news... I took the dogs out for their post meal poop... and my boy pooped on an ants nest! They were really angry ants all walking over his poo Shock Grin so gross! The worst thing was I didn't realise until I was stood near the poop and by that point I had angry biting ants climbing all over my legs! Eww!! And they really hurt Grin My day is not going well. Bring on the wine! Wine

I am 28, 5ft 8 and 84kg. Feeling ugly and super fat 🤣🤭 I'm also TTC my 1st since December 2019. Been this weight for a few years so time to shift it 🤪 what is everyone doing to try and lose the weight x

@fallingup welcome aboard! We started a similar time, October 2019, but had to take a couple of months out along the way because I had skin infection issues.

I don’t mind photos of me when I weigh a bit less. I look huge (sort of short and wide with a small pea head) in everything right now. Except for a couple of months ago when the prednisolone gave me a chubby face to boot🥴

I had 0% Greek yogurt for breakfast, with raspberries, flax seed and honey BUT I also had two of the biscuits attached which were really, really good and were 98 kcals each 👀. Breakfast was still only 303 calories even with the biscuits, so not too bad.
