6 week blitz starting tomorrow

BasinHaircut · 27/06/2021 17:49

I’m simply starting this thread for myself as a diary.

I’m hovering around 12st 1-3lbs ish. I’d like to hover at 11stones-something in 6 weeks time, so nothing major.

All I’m going to do is the following:

  1. Stick to under 1600 calories per day
  2. Walk for an hour each day
  3. Resistance train 4 times per week

I should be able to do this easily but I need some accountability (with the food!) so here I am!

I have 4 social occasions during this time that may lead to not sticking to 1600 calories on those days but I am ok with that. I will just do my best on those days, accept what they are, and not let them lead to throwing in the towel altogether.

If anyone would like to join me they are very welcome!

Hello @BasinHaircut 👋🏻
May I join you? I'm on a 5 week campaign starting on Monday morning.
I'll post my start weight then. I was 149lbs on Thursday but an awful lot of rubbish has passed my lips since then... I'm not at all optimistic. I'm sure it's gone up.

I want to deflate my balloon stomach.
Target: 10lbs off by 30 July.
2L water per day
Workout or walk every day rain hail or shine
1200kcal (have to go low, depressingly, am 51)
Let's do this 🤞🏻

Cuntingseal · 27/06/2021 18:47

Can I join for accountability .
Will weigh tomorrow .
Have lost a lot of weight in the past and regained a bit going to turn it round . Ned to be heading in the right direction .
We got this

BasinHaircut · 27/06/2021 19:41

Welcome @SunscreenCentral and @Cuntingseal thanks for joining me!

I have signed up with a PT starting next week. I am determined to stick with the blitz.
Going to stick to 1200 calories or less on days when I have no social stuff going on.
Not going to give up my vodka when I go out !

mcdog · 27/06/2021 19:48

Can I join too? I want to do a body blitz before the school hols start

gingerface40 · 27/06/2021 19:49

Me too can I join? I've joined a transformation so that starts next week! But I've been quite good so far

BasinHaircut · 27/06/2021 20:01

Yes all welcome!

OP posts:
Cavagirl · 27/06/2021 20:20

Yes please!!!!
I'd like to lose half a stone by first week of August. It's getting really difficult with all the social occasions and I've got a week off before then so I really need something for accountability. I always join these threads and then never keep them up but determined to do it this time!!

Bobbots · 27/06/2021 20:25

I’m in! I’ve got two stone to lose and although I won’t manage that in 6 weeks I’d like to get halfway.
Goals: 1800 calories a day max (I’m 5’11 and also breastfeeding so can’t go too low)
An hour of walking every day
Random squats and lunges round the house while rocking the baby

Jellycatz · 27/06/2021 20:42

Please can I join you all too? I will weigh in the morning. I plan to track using nutracheck and up my exercise - which is basically zero! I am feeling very sluggish so it’s time I did something rather than moan.

ManxRhyme · 27/06/2021 20:55

I'm in! I need to lose a stone, ideally one and a half stones. I'm only 10 st atm but very short and it's all around my belly. Nothing fits and I'm sick of feeling yuck all the time. Plan to:
Workout every day
Low carb high fat/protein/fibre
Fast for 18 hours a day

Calorie counting doesn't work for me.

These are long term changes I'm planning to make so I don't have a target as such but would like to be a normal BMi hopefully by the end of the summer hols.

DatingDickheads · 27/06/2021 22:13

Hello can I join? I’m starting tomorrow as I have 8 weeks to lose some weight and feel fit for a holiday!

My plan:

1500 calories a day
No booze!
Walk 10k steps a day
Between 15 and 30 min home workout 5 days a week.

Jammymare · 27/06/2021 22:54

I’m in! I’ll add my weight tomorrow morning

tostaky · 27/06/2021 23:10

Hello! I want to join. I lost about 5kg just after easter through calorie counting. Then i fell off the wagon and i have managed not to gain anything back... i def want to lose more. Another 5kg to lose in July would be perfect.

Monday weight-in is good because then i have to be careful at the weekend!

Cuntingseal · 28/06/2021 06:52

Oh dear . I weighed myself and have put on a full stone since I last weighed. That was a shock. I have had some health issues / stress blah blah so I take full responsibility and will now turn it around.
Today I will eat 1000 calories and be in control of my eating.

MerylSqueak · 28/06/2021 06:58

May I join too? I am 78k. I want to get down to 11. I've lost weight in the past but I just don't seem to be able to stick to it. My plan is to cut carbs, do some strength training and stretches every day and walk more

Signoramarella · 28/06/2021 07:07

Me too! I'm starting the fast 800 . Walking 10k steps a day. Take senacot at night. No wine. Lets do this !

NuclearSummer · 28/06/2021 07:09

Can I join too? I’ve just weighed in and I’ve put on all the weight I lost recently and I feel physically awful. I seem to be in the mindset of treating myself for the smallest achievements, like daily. And too much alcohol.

So the first thing is reducing alcohol and having alcohol free days. Then increase vegetables and protein. Calorie count to raise awareness of portion size but stick to a realistic limit of 1600 a day. Continue to exercise by cycling to work two days a week and walk in days at home.

I’ll aim to have 10 pounds off in 6 weeks! Good luck OP.

Cavagirl · 28/06/2021 07:15

Morning everyone!
10st 7 here this morning, aiming for 10st early August. And so it begins!

peachmoussecake · 28/06/2021 07:18

Please can I join? I have put back on the weight I lost a couple of years ago and I'm seeing some friends in a few weeks and last time I saw them they were all congratulating me on the weight loss and I know they'll all be thinking I've piled it on again if I don't take action now! Obviously I am doing it to be healthy too :D

Jellycatz · 28/06/2021 07:22

Good morning,
Weigh in 1 11.9

maddenlightfoot · 28/06/2021 07:29

I'm in 👋! I started a diet 3 weeks ago and managed to lose 1/2 stone but have put it all back on again (age, no will power, socialising etc etc)

I have an 'all or nothing' mentality. I can do low-cal, no alcohol etc quite easily, but as soon as I have 1 thing it leads to an avalanche! I want to get to a point where I can balance healthy choices in the week with a few treats at the weekends.

10st 3lbs today (like a pp - I'm a shorty and this is all around my tummy), would just like to get below 10st and stay there consistently.

Today I'm hoping to stick to tea and miso soup in the day and then have a normal dinner of sausage casserole with a very small portion of pasta. It's very far from an ideal dinner but again, need my diet to fit in with family life - I can't sustain eating desperately long term.

Happy Monday and good luck all!

Jammymare · 28/06/2021 07:42

Oh dear, the takeaway last night has done me no favours, weighing in this morning at 11st 7.5lb. I’m 5’7”.
I’d love to be 10st something by the end of the month for my first wedding dress fitting, so hoping that I can stick to 1,400 calories a day, hit my 10,000 steps and also aiming to do 3 runs or bike rides a week just to improve my fitness which has gone drastically downhill.
I always seem to lose a couple of pounds then plateau and give up, so hoping this thread will keep me accountable.

BasinHaircut · 28/06/2021 07:52

Morning all.

I’m weighing 12st 3lb 4oz this morning, but I weigh every day and know this fluctuates. I was 12st 1lb 8oz last Monday (my lowest recent weight) so what I’m looking for really in 6 weeks’ time is a lowest weight of somewhere around 11st 11lbs.

Welcome everyone! Wasn’t expecting this many people to join in Smile

ShowMeYourMethod · 28/06/2021 08:14

Hello - can I join I too please?
I need some accountability (that worked when I did SW) so am hoping this might be what I need.

Have bought myself some of those super scales that measure fat % etc (middle aisle at Lidl bargain!) as I was sure my old ones were v inaccurate.

So my very accurate weigh in today 13st 5.5lb.
Weight loss defo required (I am only 5ft6)

My plan

  • track calories on phone and keep below 1200
  • walk to work 3 times a week
  • try to restart couch to 5k
  • focus on positive food thoughts and not let one eating misdemeanour set me back into days of unhealthy eating

Here's hoping the super scales and the motivation from here can get me past my cravings for evening carbs .....good luck everyone 💪
