@TheRealHousewife has given me the honour of starting our new thread so here we go....

I can't work out how to copy her helpful links over but if you go
to thread you can look them up and also read the thread and get a feel for if this is the place for you.

We are a friendly bunch with lots of support, advice, hand holding and no judgement at all.

I am doing Intermittent Fasting and run several times a week. Others are calorie counting and walking lots. All our welcome. Post as little or as much as you want. I didn't post my weight for months and was still fully welcomed and involved.

@HalfShrunkMoreToGo is our star pupil with spreadsheets but we have all done really well and I am proud of each and everyone of you.

Here's to a good month and let's get going.

Going forward it might be worth alternating long and short runs to give yourself chance to recover 💕 don’t try to increase distance yet give yourself chance to get used to what you are doing if that makes sense 😊

Rewis · 26/05/2021 07:08

Weekly weigh In

Start may 14: 88.8kg
Last week: 87kg
Today: 86.1kg

SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 08:24

Morning all

@swampytiggaa I was actually looking forward to a day off running but mentally I wish I could have gone. I last ran 10km in January so it has been a while since I have done more than 7.5km. I found doing 11 easy and I wasn't in any pain. It was just later I was aching.

Well done @Rewis. If only I could understand kg!

Morning all, I love hearing about all this running! I've started stretching every morning and that seems to be helping with joint and muscle ache. My right hip is not happy at the moment due to nerve damage in my left leg, which means it over compensates. The yoga type stretching is helping.

@SunshineCake how is SunshineCat?

I've maintained this week so still at 68.5. In old money that was an 11st start for me and now at 10.8st if that helps?

Avocadorable · 26/05/2021 09:20

Check in and weigh in
Haven’t posted much on here as it seems to be more a running to lose weight thread now, good on all who run, I don’t 🤣
Weigh in 12st 12 broke another stone
Sw middle of Jan 16st 10
Cw 12st 12
Next mini GW 12st 10 to hit the 4 stone loss by first week in June
Still doing low carb and IF 18-6 suits my work schedule. No set work out routine but I’m constantly rushing with work, school drop offs, and regular stuff.

Avocadorable · 26/05/2021 09:24

Posted too fast oops I do a few stints on cross trainer and home body gym a few times a week when I’ve time or go walking with earphones in. But nothing set in stone. Keep up the good work everyone I think starting this journey is half the battle 👍

Crazzzycat · 26/05/2021 10:53

Well done on those losses @Rewis and @Avocadorable!

@SunshineCake, I think it would be worth having a chat with someone in Holland & Barrett’s about if/ how CBD interacts with other non-prescription medications. I don’t think it would interact, but I wouldn’t like to say that and then be wrong 🙈

Rewis · 26/05/2021 11:00

Thanks @sunshinecake. I have to say that pounds and stones make no sense to me 😂 900g a week is quite a lot but knowing myself I know I'll get to 83kg quite easily. That seems to be my basic weight without much effort. Then comes the hard part.

Got my first covid jab and donated blood so no need to do anyhting today! But I need to get back to gym routine cause I'm still paying for it. It's Just so damn busy that I don't really want to go there.

SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 11:53

Hi @BrioLover, so far SunshineCat hasn't been heard coughing today so if she goes all day without a cough we'll cancel tomorrow's appointment as I feel too soon to have her vaccinations on Thursday. I'm still worried though as we thought she was doing better on Monday then yesterday was bad again. It is so hard as she is fine in herself and behaving as normal.

That is a great loss Brio! Well done and I appreciate the old money. I don't know why I get in a pickle as it is not like I can visual a stone anyway never mind a kilo!

Oh no @Avocadorable. It is for everyone. It is only recently we have gained more members who run. Please stay. It is for all and I'd love to hear all about your cross trainer and gym work outs. Your weight loss is incredible. Well done Star and I understand the joy of cracking that new stone barrier, though twice I read it wrong as usually look at the pounds bit first rather than stone so always think I have put nearly a stone on!

Thanks @Crazzzycat. I'll ask next time I am there.

Had a long walk with the dog today and then got home and fell over in the front garden Hmm. What an idiot. My hand is a bit sore and I haven't dared look at my knee yet. Cheered myself up by making some oat and chocolate biscuits.

Hello!

I've been dieting since late April. I'm 10lbs down with 30 more to go. I'm 16:8 fasting and doing 30 mins cardio a day. My loss hasn't been linear and it can be frustrating. Will read the thread now and see how everyone is doing.

SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 17:26

10lbs is amazing @toppocket! Well done.

Puffalicious · 26/05/2021 18:01

Hey all,

Been ridiculously busy at work and decorating (read major redesign Confused) our loft rooms for DS1. He needs to be on another floor to DS2 or they'll kill each other. Bloody teenagers!Grin

Been up and down food wise. Some days I'm bang on it, other days off the boil: yesterday I just wanted big bowl of Coco-pops rather than dinner, so that's what I had. TOTM I sometimes feel.like that, so I rolled with it. Being veggie and healthy I find my choices sometimes limited, so my body wants to break outGrin

I've done NO exercise (apart from stripping wallpaper!) so anyone feeling left out with the running chat, I'm sitting on my bum over here. Weigh in tomorrow, so we'll see!

SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 18:16

Hi @Puffalicious. How are you doing? I hope your decorating goes well. DH and I have got lots done but OMG it take so long as he takes so many breaks and has no staying power. I hope you enjoyed your coco pops! Sometimes we just have too. I confess to three home made oat and chocolate biscuits today and I'm blaming DD. She's been horrible and immature.

Also @132orbust where are you??

OP posts:
132orbust · 26/05/2021 19:05

Hi @SunshineCake I decided to take a step back from the thread (but not from weight loss I promise) as I realised I was getting a bit over involved in your some poster's life. Really none of my business and I was probably projecting a bit because of the experience of my work colleague which I'll pm you about now.
I'll be back on the thread soon x

SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 19:14

FWIW @132orbust I didn't feel you were over involved and very very much appreciated you having my back and your advice. Please come back as soon as you are able Flowers.

OP posts:
SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 19:55

@132orbust I have tried to send a PM but can't tell if it went. I've then just sent one that says test in case the other is too long. Please let me know, thank you.

OP posts:
132orbust · 26/05/2021 19:59

Only one I got was one that said you were going to read mine! @SunshineCake

SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 20:13

I'll try again. Maybe it was too long. I might have to send in two parts.

OP posts:
SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 20:16

Did you get the first part just now?

OP posts:
SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 20:18

Sent second part, it's all jumbled as my iPad hates me. If not worked I could email otherwise no idea.

OP posts:
Puffalicious · 26/05/2021 20:24

Sunshinecake funnily DS3 has just MADE me bake- or rather he lost interest half way through but still wants to eat the results!

Decorating going okay- the stripping is taking forever, years of paper upon paper, woodchip under other paper, paint on top.of woodchip. Nasty! The graffiti underneath from the 70s is pretty cool, though! House is 1930, so hoping for older discoveries as we plod on!

SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 20:29

Good luck!!

OP posts:
132orbust · 26/05/2021 20:58

No nothing @SunshineCake - how strange.
Are you doing 'message poster' button?

SunshineCake · 26/05/2021 21:13

No. I did it as reply to you via in box. Just did it your way and I think it went. Didn't try and jig it back in order though!

OP posts:
BrioLover · 26/05/2021 22:26

@SunshineCake I'm glad she's doing better! I'd be inclined to agree on the vaccinations, best let her recover fully before putting more stuff into her body and be in an environment with other animals/people.

Will try to remember to add imperial to my weekly weigh ins too! I'm quite pleased with the initial loss and maintenance this week. Your advice of allowing a nice snack each day is really helping.

@Crazzzycat I follow James Smith on Insta (as annoying as he is, I also find him really compelling viewing Blush) and I used his macro/calorie calculator today for the first time. It gave me a higher calorie and protein goal than I'd have thought I'd need (1500 cals and 105g protein) for fat loss. Might be interesting to do it for you and see if you get a recommendation closer to your 1700 mark that's been working for you?
