Starting 1st March - who is with me?!

I'm 5.7 and 13 stone at the moment which is the heaviest I've ever been. None of my clothes fit me properly and I feel awful.

I want to loose 20lb before the end of May when it gets warmer and we have to see people face to face again rather than trying to find a flattering angle on zoom!

I've tried weight watchers, slimming world, calorie counting and nothing has worked for me because I start a diet on a Monday and have given up by Friday.

I know if I don't do this now I'm going to feel even more depressed come summer when none of my lovely summer clothes fit.

So I'm starting tomorrow and will calorie count, 1,600 a day which is about right for my height and won't make me hangry all day. I'm going to weigh in on a Monday morning. I think I am going to need some support because lovely food and drink is pretty much what has got me through the last year! But if I can loose 20lb before summer it will be worth the sacrifice.

Is anyone with me?!

Todays menu so far:
banana
mushroom soup, 1 chicken drumstick
an apple
a latte (semi skim milk)

Will update with my dinner later, but I think we are having a veggie fritatta?

Not weighing in as doesn't help me makes me feel worse but today I have had 2 tesco ultra slim shakes
For tea I'm having a weight watchers chicken tikka and got a few snacks planned this eve to take me up to 1000 cals for the day!

Mine is starting to day. I have got rid of (eaten) all the naughty stuff in the freezer. I am having Slimfast for breakfast and lunch then a meal in the evening with veg. I felt pleased to walk past the crisps and chocolate in the shop this morning and only buy water!

Of course I am hungry now but I have to wait until I get home at 9pm for my dinner!

I have about 5-6 stones to lose so it is a long term project!

Today I started well but went downhill (ISH):
Poached egg on toast, half a glass of juice
Burger on bun and coleslaw
Double fried egg and a few chips
One glass of wine and 20g pringles
And I'm starving
According to my app, I've 270 Cals left (from an allowance of 1700), will save that for tea and toast later.
Tomorrow will have to be far healthier!

Welcome @beckett12 and @MotherHaryy - we've got this. Chip away bit by bit and we'll get to where we want to be eventually :)

Today has gone well except a cheese related blip 🤦‍♀️🤣 and the kitchen is now closed for the evening as it's my danger zone!

Food:
B: Banana porridge
L: Tomato & chilli pasta, tuna and salad
D: Butternut & sweet potato soup, cheese and tomato toast for dipping

Exercise:
Steps - 16784
30 minute cardio/resistance TBP video.

Today I've had cerial, jordans chunky nut and a glass of semi skimmed milk.
Cheese and ham omelette with 2 eggs gor lunch and tea piece of flavoured fish and baked beans.
I like to roughly low carb (as in no/less pasta, bread, potato)

No snacks or kids leftovers so winning today!
Keep at it everyone!

I went out to work at 07:30 and am just in now. I had green tea at 7am and my lunch at 1:30 (a bit later than I wanted to wait as I'd finished eating at 6pm last night.) I had leftover chicken and a Persian salad, blue cheese, full fat Greek yogurt and blueberries. I also had almonds. I've never calorie counted and I don't have scales but want to get rid of my tummy and a bit from my arms. I've never dieted before but just want my clothes to fit better!

I'm home later than I intended. Having poached egg and salmon on sourdough and a salad. Will have double cream and more blueberries. I'm sticking to fasting 16:8 or 18:6 which i find helps my digestion but I'm lowering carb and not snacking between my 2 meals .

I weighed in at 13st 13lb this morning. I have decided to start off with the Fast800 diet to get off to a good start. If it gets hard I will move to intermittent fasting.

Early star for work today so left the house at 7:30am after green tea. Had lunch really late as 2 meetings went on longer than expected and I had an emergency to attend to. Had leftover chicken, Persian salad, blue cheese, nuts and full fat Greek yogurt. Dinner was salmon, poached egg and salad with some sourdough. I've never counted calories so no idea what that adds up to. I've no scales either but know I've moved a bit of weight by how my clothes fit. Need to reduce my middle and get a better body composition. Im quite active too. Hopefully I will manage this in the next 2 months but need to watch the wine intake. I'm eating fats -butter, cream, avocado etc...as they keep me full. Avoiding wine 😥, baked goods and most fruits, not eating between my 2 meals (I'm an intermittent faster, 16:8 or 18:6, for digestive issues) and hopefully get off the Gaviscon! Did eat later than usual as I didn't get in until 18:30 🤷

Yes please! I'm calorie counting and aiming for 10k steps a day. Today hasn't been brilliant but got my game head on for tomorrow!

We did indeed have veggie fritatta and also I forgot that earlier in the day I had a small glass of OJ.

I've also done a zoom strength workout and walked my 10k steps Grin

I don't think you are eating enough! Lose the juice in the morning (sugar may make you hungry.) I'm with you on the wine and pringles though! So hard to give up. I think you might be better off eating more in the day to stop you snacking in the evening. Proper food like chops and fish and a good home made soup. You are bloody active though! I've been at work all day and could do with a good outdoor tramp around. Dark now though 🙄

@crackedactor when I found out 2 hours moderate walking used 420 calories i was astonished, and agree now, I didn't eat enough.

I now have a trick with the wine, I have a white wine box, ostensibly for cooking, but of course it is tempting. So, I dont have it in the fridge. After dinner, I put 150ml into a glass into the freezer, wait for it cool, then drink it. Its then too late to do the same with another glass, and I hate warm white wine. So one glass it is. Pity I don't have a similar red wine trick....

Right, just checking in before I hit the hay.

Breakfast - cereal & milk, banana
Lunch - ham & salad on wholemeal bread with some Wotsits crisps
Dinner - chicken, baked potato with cottage cheese and mixed veg
Snacks - apple, raspberries, yogurt, carrot sticks
Drinks - tea, water & 1 glass of wine

Didn't get round to doing much exercise today but hopefully will up my walking quota tomorrow. Also looking to find an exercise class online where I'm not completely knackered after only 10 mins 😂 Any tips, point me in the right direction!

My weight hasn't moved much the last couple of days but I'm quite focussed at the moment so carrying on low carb and hoping the lbs start to shift at the end of the week! Well done everyone for starting!

Bit of a mixed day yesterday food-wise as DH was off work and is a bad influence!

Breakfast - porridge with raisins
Lunch - bruschetta with half a burrata
Dinner - sticky sesame cauliflower with egg fried rice and veggie dumplings (homemade apart from the dumplings)
Pudding - small slice of vegan chocolate cake

Did get out for a 5.5k run and did my half hour of yoga. Also avoided snacks and raiding the kids' leftovers!

Good day yesterday (except from being glued to my chair so not as many steps as I would have liked).

Fasted til 2pm.
Lunch: Two boiled eggs + 2 slices of edam
Dinner: Veggie omelette
Drinks: Black coffee + a shit tonne of water

Went for a run with DDs before dinner.

I weigh daily Blush I've found I'm much more likely to stick to it if I become quite obsessed for the month.

SW: 9 st 11.6lbs
CW: 9 st 8.7lbs
GW: 8st

Interim goal: 13.0

It's a lot I know but I too spent a lot of lockdown comfort eating
Can't wait for schools to go back and my step count to go up

It was! Managed not to polish off the entire MASSIVE portion DH dished up so I've got some leftovers for lunch today Grin

I also weigh every day - stops me snacking in the evenings if I think I'll see it on the scales the next morning! Only record it once a week though so see the longer trend.

I'll join! I started for Lent but have had a terrible week so happy to brush myself down and start afresh with a clear head.
I use MFP to track calories. Aiming for 1200-1300 a day.
I'm 5'6 and currently 11st 3lbs. I did get down to 10st 5lbs last year, but came back up to my starting point (11st 4lbs) after Christmas. Dropped to 11st last week and then had a terrible week so back at 11st 3lbs.

My aim is around 10st. I'd love to be 9st 7lbs, but I know from last year how tricky that will be as I just plateaued at 10st 5/6 and lost motivation.

So, to summarise Grin
Current weight: 11st 3lbs
Target weight: 10st
