@Fezco

Please can someone explain this to me??
If you mean life, I have no idea!
Fezco · 17/02/2022 16:44

Sorry I should have been more specific, I've heard of it on tictok but I didn't really understand it - is it something you can buy? I'm gonna read the thread but I was just hoping for a tldr

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 17/02/2022 16:49

Haha yeah I thought you were wanting to know about buying clothes in a smaller size and I was going to direct you to the book “the secret” and write a whole paragraph on the power of manifesto on 😉 but Saxenda…..
Saxenda is a drug that you can be prescribed by a pharmacist. You have to have a bmi of 30 or 27 with weight related health conditions. The drug is administered by injection. It slows down you digestion so food stays in your stomach longer making you feel full for longer and therefore eat less. It’s quite pricey - about £50 a pen which should last for 6 days on the full dosage however many people take a lower dose so the pen can last up to 30days.

EmmaH2022 · 17/02/2022 16:50

Saxenda is an injected medication you can take to help you lose weight

You can get it on the NHS or buy it from some pharmacies after doing a consultation

The "pen" people talk about is actually a pen shaped thing that is filled with the liquid.

When you buy it, you have to buy disposable needles with it for each injection.

Feel free to ask anything else. I had a nightmare figuring it out!

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 17/02/2022 16:50

Manifesto? I meant manifestation. Definitely worth a Google though.
I deserve to be skinny
Skinny feels good to me
I have the right to look good in my body……

EmmaH2022 · 17/02/2022 16:56

Fezco there's lots of threads on here with different experiences, worth a read.

EmmaH2022 · 17/02/2022 18:31

Sorry, more clothes...

What do people think of poncho style tops, is it a no when you're short and fat?

Honestly, I dunno what's got into me, been staring at fashion since about 4.30!

Orangemoon77 · 17/02/2022 19:00

@EmmaH2022 buy one and see how it makes you feel. You might love it!

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 17/02/2022 19:36

I remember when ponchos were last in around 2008? I loved them! One of the fashions I’ve remained hopeful for a return

EmmaH2022 · 17/02/2022 20:23

I’m just going to feel fat but I bought a couple of fashionable items recently and while I don’t like them, I am getting lots of compliments!

Orangemoon77 · 17/02/2022 21:03

@EmmaH2022 I know that feeling! That’s how I feel all the time, even when I was slim (a long time ago) I felt fat! Take the compliments and listen to others, they will see you differently from how you see yourself.

scarlettoharasgreendress · 17/02/2022 21:39

I have two ponchos. Love them.

Just done my second jab. Slight nausea at points today but as long as I keep the fluids up I don't feel too bad. Haven't eaten much. Haven't wanted to!

I'm looking at smaller clothes too... I don't normally do that but I feel totally in the zone 😁

EmmaH2022 · 18/02/2022 10:37

I think there's going to be a couple of days break for me as I ordered too late.

Re clothes, I'm looking at viscose tops thinking they won't cling to flab if I have a cotton camisole underneath?

scarlettoharasgreendress · 18/02/2022 12:04

Viscose woven? Or jersey? Woven probably won't stick. Jersey probably will.

EmmaH2022 · 18/02/2022 12:18

Not sure, they don't give much detail online Will jersey be okay over cotton do you think?
Sunshinedreaming2022 · 18/02/2022 12:48

I like viscose as I find it doesn’t cling but it always needs to be ironed so it’s not an everyday fabric for me.
Do you have any links of anything you are looking at?

This confuses me, I thought the plus of viscose was no ironing?

I don't have any links at the mo but I might have later, I'm doing a theoretical capsule wardrobe! Yes, I should be working Grin

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 18/02/2022 13:36

I have 2 viscose dresses and they both crease dreadfully in the wash. Admittedly that is not a very big sample size, just my experience.

EmmaH2022 · 18/02/2022 15:04

Most of the stuff I'm scanning is a blend, maybe that's it.

Shows how much I know about clothes! But I definitely don't want stuff that needs ironing.

ImSaxyAndIKnowIt · 18/02/2022 22:19

Evening! How is everyone doing? I’m feeling lots better, have moments of feeling a bit nauseous but nothing major and I just try to power through. Getting a bit hungrier now I’m feeling better but it’s almost like I just can’t be bothered with food. Lunch today was small sandwich and fruit. Tea was a chippy tea but I’m allowing myself one night off a week and Fridays we ALWAYS have a chippy tea. However tonight I had a small portion and only ate a third of this. Normally I’d have a large and eat it all, then I’d snack all night. I haven’t snacked at all this week! So I’m feeling positive!

With viscose, I find the best thing to do is hang it directly from the washing machine. Let the creases drop out. If you put it through the dryer it'll need ironing and I don't have the oomph for that!
scarlettoharasgreendress · 19/02/2022 00:15

Third one just done. So far the only side effect is hideous acid reflux in the early hours. I'm hoping this will wear off soon enough.

As far as working goes, I'm barely eating anything. Just not fancying anything so I'm not bothering.

EmmaH2022 · 19/02/2022 00:42

We're almost full so I took the liberty of starting a new thread
