Hope you feel better tomorrow!

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 15/02/2022 20:07

Glad your feeling better @ImSaxyAndIKnowIt. I admire your perseverance.

EmmaH2022 · 15/02/2022 20:45

Saxy hope you are okay.

Today I went to the supermarket and wasn't interested in buying anything. It was kind of amazing!

First meal about 4, just apple and cereal, then dinner at 7.

I think this might be starting to work!

Newnanny2021 · 15/02/2022 22:02

Glad you are feeling better ImSaxyAndIKnowIt. Hopefully you’ll be okay now. Day 5 for me and not snacking but appetite has increased slightly whereas for the first 3 days the thought of eating made me feel I’ll. I think I need to increase to 1.2 after 7 days but I’m going to try to stay on 0.6 for as long as possible to save money! I’ve got a bruised belly from the injection today. Not sure why as it was painless. Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.

Is anyone taking vitamins and supplements with Saxenda?

Just my usual...which is a lot!

Weigh in...I am another 1.5lb down this week, yay!

Orangemoon77 · 16/02/2022 09:49

Thanks @EmmaH2022. Had avoided taking my usual lot yesterday (don’t know why).

Well done on the weight loss!

Feeling even worse today 😢😢. Haven’t vomited again but feel ridiculously nauseous. Been sipping water and trying the ginger biscuits again and I’ve just nipped to the pharmacy for some anti-sickness tablets so I’m hoping they kick in.

I’ve just tried to have something to eat and it tasted horrendous, so it’d affecting my taste as well. Not sure how long I can stand this, I’ve spent so much money on the injections 😢😢

EmmaH2022 · 16/02/2022 13:00

Saxy I am sorry

Just me personally, I wouldn't carry on if that were me.

Orangemoon77 · 16/02/2022 13:29

@ImSaxyAndIKnowIt that’s rubbish! Hopefully it passes soon. I’ve read such mixed things about the sickness, people saying it goes eventually. Don’t do something if it’s making you miserable. I know you’ve spent money but it’s only money, your health and well-being are way more important.

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 16/02/2022 14:57

@ImSaxyAndIKnowIt I'm sorry tp hear you are feeling so rubbish today. Where are you injecting it? I've read that if you have bad nausea and sickness that sometimes injecting into your thigh stops it.
I understand how you feel though, I can't take so many meds because I have severe reactions (fever then d&v). Only last month I was prescribed an antidepressant and I took one, had such severe vertigo I couldn't get out of bed for 2 days and haven't touched since. its like money down the drain - although not nearly as much as these jabs are.
Only you can decide if its worth persevering through. If nothing else, you will definitely loose weight with not eating ;)
I'm on day 2 here, I thought it was going really well and I felt great waking up but then the sickness hit and I threw up. I didn't even feel nauseas though, just straight to the puking. but otherwise I've felt fine, normal really just not hungry, but not full either which means I'm still dealing with the psycological want to eat. like after lunch I craved something sweet and ate a cupcake. I wasn't hungry, I didn't need it, but I just wanted it so I had it. That is the link and the trigger that I really need to break. but it is still early days and maybe that side of feeling full and being unable to eat takes a few days to fully kick in - if it does at all.

scarlettoharasgreendress · 16/02/2022 21:27

@ImSaxyAndIKnowIt I'm sorry you feel so rubbish. With the taste thing, have you done a covid test?

I've started this evening. I'm hoping very much that the side effects will be minimal and that the weight will just drop off 😬

ImSaxyAndIKnowIt · 17/02/2022 08:14

Morning! Feeling a bit better this morning but it comes and goes, just feel very tired and still a bit queasy. Weight myself and Ive lost 2kg since Monday though but suppose that’s because Ive barely eaten. Feel stronger today so going nip out and get some fruit and things to nibble on.

How’s everyone else doing?

ImSaxyAndIKnowIt · 17/02/2022 08:17

Oh and yeah I do a PCR every Monday through work (which was negative) and Ive done a lateral flow yesterday and today which are both negative

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 17/02/2022 08:42

Morning, day 3 here. The last 2 days I’ve injected about 10.30/11am ish but I’ve still snacked in the afternoon then felt really full in the evening so todays I’ve brought it forward to as soon as I wake up which - being half term - is 8am. Hopefully that helps with the mid afternoon munchies.
Had a cheeky weigh in and have already lost 2.4lbs which is amazing as I feel like I am still eating normally. Made myself a healthy tropical smoothie for breakfast today though.
Felt a little nauseas when I was cooking dinner last night but that felt more of the “I’m so full just looking at food makes me sick” kinda nausea. But nothing bad enough to stop me carrying on.
Well done on loosing 2kg @ImSaxyAndIKnowIt. Have you got ginger tea and ginger biscuits to snack on? They saved me through pregnancy morning sickness

Orangemoon77 · 17/02/2022 09:33

Good luck @ImSaxyAndIKnowIt, hopefully you will feel better today. Really sucks that you have struggled with this.

Day 3 for me. No major side effects but can’t say my appetite has decreased yet. Wondering when that will might kick in. Can’t say I’m over eating still, so being mindful about that but still get urges for cake and chocolate etc and trying to shift that mindset. It’s really hard!

ImSaxyAndIKnowIt · 17/02/2022 09:50

Just this second finished a ginger biscuit! I’ll get my ginger tea as well. I’m going try eating little and often, I’ve not been eating because I’m not hungry but I my body still needs food so have some little bits to snack on today in the Hope it reduces the sickness!

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 17/02/2022 10:22

I think I’m going to have to get some ginger biscuits as well today, been sick again and feeling a little nauseous. I’ve noticed that both yesterday and today I was sick whilst drinking my morning cup of tea so maybe I should avoid that for next few days and see if it helps.

EmmaH2022 · 17/02/2022 15:46

Hope the posters feeling unwell are pkay

Hope it's all right to chat about this here....does anyone else have the urge to buy clothes in smaller sizes? It's mad really.

I have been looking at realistic clothes for now and things on sale have popped up in a 12, and I think, ooh shall I? It's mad really.

People who can wear what they like must have to stop themselves getting carried away!

Orangemoon77 · 17/02/2022 16:07

@EmmaH2022 yes!!! I’ve been doing that as well. Buying stuff for now is ok but there’s so many bargains out there in smaller sizes, hard to resist!

I’ve just unpacked a size 12 dress for a wedding, it was a bargain so just went for it. The wedding is in August so I’ve convinced myself that’s loads of time to get in it… it’s not the first time I’ve done this and normally fail so here’s hoping this time works!!

EmmaH2022 · 17/02/2022 16:16

Orange it will!

I lose weight so slowly it's mad, but both of the items I'm looking at are winter reductions, so I wouldn't expect to be in them before November.

One item is a cream jumper and it feels odd because I normally wear dark colours in an attempt to look less fat! Oh well, they can always be returned.

Got to order more Saxenda now.....

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 17/02/2022 16:22

@EmmaH2022 yes I recently bought a dress in a size 12 (I’m a 14/16) that I hope to fit into this summer. Also my goal weight isn’t actually a weight at all - I bought some size 12 shorts 4years ago for a big holiday and couldn’t quite fit into them - well I could get them on and do them up but they were a little tight, so my goal is actually to fit into these shorts before we go on holiday in October, which from previous experience I reckon to be 10stone (I was 10st12lbs when they were too tight - I reckon half a stone or so should do it). I really need to reign myself in from buying smaller clothes.

Fezco · 17/02/2022 16:25

Please can someone explain this to me??
