I was always slim to skinny but after DD 2 I did put on about a stone and a half. Way too much for my frame but it took me ages to lose it as I kept eating crisps because I bloody love them.

Well I stopped taking the bag to the sofa. I put some in a small bowl and make myself sit at the table to eat them.

Then that's that. No more.

Of course it wasn't just crisps but I did eat a LOT of them...a big bag all alone at least 3 times per week because I didn't have time to cook for myself.

Sweets I don't really eat but chocolate I do....so I put a few squares on a saucer and take those to the table too!

Lazily sitting on the sofa and scoffing crisps is no more! I have lost a stone over the past 6 months doing this...yes I've been walking daily too and drinking Kombucha.

As a DPRK obsessive I fully intend to make my own Kimchi one day! I tried it once made by a Korean woman I met through work, she sent me some. Anything I have tried since just doesnt measure up, bitch wont give me her recipe :o

*Which by the way I totally understand, I know its Korean tradition that each family keeps its own recipe secret.

@Horehound

Yeah I do that then I go back to the kitchen and fill up the bowl....
I'm afraid I do this too. Perhaps all the back and forth and up and down burns like 5 calories, but thats about the only difference the bowl makes

Belly dance to that kitchen😂 That will burn more and is fun

SchrodingersImmigrant · 21/02/2021 00:02

@truthisalie yeah it has much more liquid. I realised that mine sucks some back in when I put it in a fridge, so that's why they probably add to it there. Maybe not🤔
But the shop one doesn't have the active bacteria, which is shame but understandable because the jars would blow up! The fresh in fridge should

truthisalie · 21/02/2021 00:09

SchrodingersImmigrant the shop one is also pasteurised. It's like honey. Raw honey has many health benefits but pasteurised from the supermarkets is just like a dessert.

uggmum · 21/02/2021 00:10

I don't eat crisps. So there is no hope for me.

truthisalie · 21/02/2021 00:10

Sorry, OP, it's past midnight and we still talk about fermented cabbage🙄😆

Yeah. It's a shame, bjt only way to keep them from becoming stink bombs😂😂😂 Fermented cauliflower is the worst for smell. Honestly. Feels like you have to air kitchen. But it's delicious. Yes. I ferment a lot of stuffBlush

Ha. Yeah. Sorry, OP😂 notsorry

Can't imagine fermented cauliflower. It's stinks even when simply cooked. Well done though on trying. You haven't tried fermented slimy beans by any chance? (Japanese I think). I haven't tried. They look a bit disgusting on pictures.

Ha. Yeah. Sorry, OP😂 notsorry**

😆🤣

Hi folks

Can we stop with the posts accusing OP of advertising? Nothing to suggest that's going on - and you need to report concerns to us, anyway.. Thanks!

SchrodingersImmigrant · 21/02/2021 09:27

@LilyMumsnet last mention of it was about 24 hours ago🙈

truthisalie · 21/02/2021 13:07

SchrodingersImmigrant, do you buy any particular weights to put into the jars?

SchrodingersImmigrant · 21/02/2021 13:09

I got ones from lakeland. They help ok. Glass ones, they are small, but i guess bigger wouldn't get through the tops easily.
I am thinking about getting jars as well. For now I just use normal jars from pickles etc.

truthisalie · 21/02/2021 14:17

I have a few kilner jars and for weights I use narrow jam jars filled with water, closed with the lid. I then put something heavy on the jar like a book. It works well. I have seen lots of weights on Amazon but very pricey. More attractive than water-filled jars though.

Alas it won't work for me because I don't eat crisps. Perhaps I should buy some just so I can limit the amount I eat to a bowlful?Unfortunately I'm likely to gain weight. grin

Of you don't suffer from uncontrollable crisps love, you will never understand us😂

I didn't say I don't love crisps because I do. I said I don't eat them, I'm on a medication which causes weight gain and have learned the best way to keep weight down is cutting out crisps and snacks. What a shock - it's even more effective than putting them in a bowl! Hmm

SchrodingersImmigrant · 22/02/2021 09:30

@truthisalie they are pretty! If the jars work, keep doing that. The weights are pricey.

truthisalie · 22/02/2021 11:13

Thank you, SchrodingersImmigrant
