I was always slim to skinny but after DD 2 I did put on about a stone and a half. Way too much for my frame but it took me ages to lose it as I kept eating crisps because I bloody love them.

Well I stopped taking the bag to the sofa. I put some in a small bowl and make myself sit at the table to eat them.

Then that's that. No more.

Of course it wasn't just crisps but I did eat a LOT of them...a big bag all alone at least 3 times per week because I didn't have time to cook for myself.

Sweets I don't really eat but chocolate I do....so I put a few squares on a saucer and take those to the table too!

Lazily sitting on the sofa and scoffing crisps is no more! I have lost a stone over the past 6 months doing this...yes I've been walking daily too and drinking Kombucha.

Well my tip is liraglutide injections. I’ve lost 1.5kg in 4 days! It’s expensive and may give you cancer though. 🤷‍♀️

ShulamithFirestone · 20/02/2021 07:54

@Marinaloves

I make a sandwich with only one slice of bread I’ve lost 17 stone in 3 months

What is the point of posting on this thread if you're going to be so snarky? I'm embarrassed for you.

CuriousSeal · 20/02/2021 07:58

Look at all these angry fat people Grin.

She lost weight and she's happily trying to share what worked for her. I understand that you're all doomed to be large forever due to varying reasons or excuses, but maybe this thread could actually help some people. Q

FelicityBob · 20/02/2021 08:00

OP I’m with you! Your post sounds exactly like me and I’m doing the same and it’s working! Ignore the miseries!

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 20/02/2021 08:01

@Horehound

Yeah I do that then I go back to the kitchen and fill up the bowl....
At least you’re getting some steps in Grin
napody · 20/02/2021 08:06

All the drunken people thinking they are extremely shrewd for spotting OPs mentioning of a generic product that can be home made! Such an obvious ulterior motive Grin

The tip isn't exactly groundbreaking but it would help with lots of people who don't normally struggle with weight but have put on due to lockdown boredom and mindless sofa eating, surely? OP didn't say it would work for everyone, she was just chuffed that something so simple has worked for her.

Quit4me · 20/02/2021 08:19

Yes it is a good tip- same with biscuits. Never take the packet on to the sofa. Just take one or two through

DinosApple · 20/02/2021 08:35

My top tip is to keep wearing the too tight knickers. It's a constant, pinchy, reminder not to snack.

I can't have my favourite biscuits open because I would eat the pack. They're quite safe in the cupboard though. Luckily, I'm not a crisp fiend.

agreyersky · 20/02/2021 08:42

One of the things that helped me overcome my eating disorder in my youth (and as a byproduct to lose weight too) was to put my meals on a side plate not a dinner plate (portion control).

(will start a thread on this if I feel the need for more mindless hate directed at me)

SchrodingersImmigrant · 20/02/2021 08:58

I am still laughing at the smartarses here who just showed themselves to be only simple arses😂

@FortunesFave have you tried lactofermented veg like sauerkrat? It's really good for the gut flora health. You need non pasteurised though. I am also big fan of yeo vally kefir yogurt (there are some kther brands making it too now, but I haven't tried them). So nice flavour. 14 different bacteria.

Fallsballs · 20/02/2021 09:27

OP is it a china or plastic bowl you use ?

Thanks, yes...DH loves sauerkraut and is always eating it and extolling it's virtues but I think it smells so bad...I can't eat it.

@WorraLiberty

Well done on the weight loss OP

And ignore the snarky posts. Honestly, there's just no need for it.

Agreed.

Well done, OP.

FortunesFave · 20/02/2021 09:54

@Marinaloves

Kombucha is an MLM brand
🤣
OP posts:
DenisetheMenace · 20/02/2021 10:50

DenisetheMenace
Yes you are because you’re advertising a product.

Just, no.
hmm No I'm not. Kombucha isn't a BRAND name...it's just a drink! Saying "kombucha" is like saying "orange juice" or something!“

Ok.
Feels like a tit. Rightly lambasted by many, gets coat (of no particular brand) Leaves. Grin

If envy and resentment caused weight loss, some people here would've faded away.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 20/02/2021 11:06

@DenisetheMenace 😂 good on you taking it on a chin

@WorraLiberty I guess now it's moved into weightloss section (it was aibu or am i crazy?) It will get nicer people in. 😁

Marinaloves · 20/02/2021 11:13

I’m slightly worried that most of the people on here are too stupid to get jokes.

"Taking it on a chin"? Shock

Just what are you trying to say to @DenisetheMenace?? 😂😂😂

truthisalie · 20/02/2021 11:31

DH loves sauerkraut and is always eating it and extolling it's virtues but I think it smells so bad...I can't eat it.

Make your own. The one sold in the supermarkets isn't like home made. The supermarket sourkraut is too soggy, too sour and too salty. Saukraut has its benefits but if it's too salty then it's bad for your joints and kidneys.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 20/02/2021 11:34

The chin? Chin? 😂 Articles are going to be my death once🙈

What's more, it's pasteurised, unless stated otherwise Homemade is easy and super tasty. I add caraway. Love it.

Homemade is usually between 2-3% salt. I use 2.5%

I also add caraway plus carrots.
