I was always slim to skinny but after DD 2 I did put on about a stone and a half. Way too much for my frame but it took me ages to lose it as I kept eating crisps because I bloody love them.

Well I stopped taking the bag to the sofa. I put some in a small bowl and make myself sit at the table to eat them.

Then that's that. No more.

Of course it wasn't just crisps but I did eat a LOT of them...a big bag all alone at least 3 times per week because I didn't have time to cook for myself.

Sweets I don't really eat but chocolate I do....so I put a few squares on a saucer and take those to the table too!

Lazily sitting on the sofa and scoffing crisps is no more! I have lost a stone over the past 6 months doing this...yes I've been walking daily too and drinking Kombucha.

@truthisalie

Eating crisps from the bag is a crime. Too much noise produced especially if you try to watch something on TV.
Subtitles😁

This is clearly an ad for a product.

Which product? I still can't se it😫

Kombucha apparently Confused

The OP is a regular poster with a long history so she must be playing a bloody long game Grin

Plus, how would anyone selling Kombucha put any new sales down to the OP? 😂😂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/02/2021 00:30

Although kombucha is claimed to be beneficial for several ailments relating to digestion, weight loss, bone health and inflammation, there is almost no clinical evidence available to prove the claims. Most of these claims are either anecdotal or have come from animal studies

Ahh the plural of anecdotes= data
And "animal studies" ?

MorriseysGladioli · 20/02/2021 00:35

I tip my crisps in a bowl.
A washing up bowl.
.

FrankButchersDickieBow · 20/02/2021 00:35

KOMBUCHAAAAAA

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/02/2021 00:36

Side efffects are stomach ache , nausea and dizziness

That would put you off your food , yes?

Why is Kombucha a rated product when the likes of Yakult (other tiny bottles of milky based bacterial drinks are available) is maligned

FrankButchersDickieBow · 20/02/2021 00:37

MIL was going on about KOMBUCHA. I told MIL she was the KOMBUCHA

namechanger247334 · 20/02/2021 00:38

My great weight loss trick is I because anorexic
Wouldn't recommend

Totallydefeated · 20/02/2021 00:40

I don’t see any references to specific brands. There are tons of kombucha brands. It’s not an ad to refer to a generic style of drink.

Well done on your weight loss OP. Ignore the sneerers.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 20/02/2021 00:41

@WorraLiberty yeah. One of the thousands kombucha brands, I guess. So sneaky. 😂

Fromthegekko · 20/02/2021 00:41

But that involves self discipline. Which I don’t possess. The only way I can cut down on calorific snacks is to not buy them at all.

WorraLiberty · 20/02/2021 00:43

I mentioned PG Tips on Mumsnet once

I'm still waiting for my cuddly monkey to arrive 😡😡

LApprentiSorcier · 20/02/2021 00:44

If it works for you, great, and congrats on your weight loss.

I find it better to cut out crisps and snacks altogether. Most crisps are full of rubbish, flavour enhancer this, acidity regulator that. Not that I couldn't eat loads of them, but I just find it easier not to start.

It's different bacterias. Konbucha doesn't usually have lactobacillus as far as I know

You are doing it wrong. You are supposed to mention "tea".

DenisetheMenace · 20/02/2021 00:47

Yes you are because you’re advertising a product.

Just, no.

WorraLiberty · 20/02/2021 00:50

@DenisetheMenace

Just, no.

So if I post on MN to say I've just eaten a bag of Wotsits, that's a 'no'? Confused
WorraLiberty · 20/02/2021 00:50

I haven't btw and other cheesy puffs are available...

SchrodingersImmigrant · 20/02/2021 00:52

Maybe the product advertised is a crisp bowl? @WorraLiberty 😁

Totallydefeated · 20/02/2021 00:53

Which particular product is being advertised DennistheMenace? What are we meant to be being brainwashed into rushing out to buy?

Sittingathome · 20/02/2021 00:54

I baked on Monday.
I ran 20k. This week and walked 5.
I had a zoom chat last night and drank a bottle of fizz.

I have not lost any weight.

What am I doing wrong?

Sittingathome · 20/02/2021 00:55

I went halves on snacks with dh tonight.

WorraLiberty · 20/02/2021 00:57

@SchrodingersImmigrant

That's it!!

That's fucking it!

The sneaky bowl advertising bastard.

I've literally just jumped onto Amazon and bought 47 bowls of varying sizes.

It all makes sense now.
