Around 4 stone to lose, buddies?

I have around 4 stone to lose to finally get bk to my happy place, will be taking my weight tonight hopefully if boots scales are working, I don't like to put that I'm on a diet as I never stuck to it 🙄going to be working out once a day and eating smaller meals anyone want to join I have no friends in RL and partner is very fit and healthy so am completely alone in this xx

I'll join too please! Need to lose 4 stone and aiming for the summer. Reducing portions, reducing booze (Christmas was awful for both) and trying to be more active.

@TheTurnOfTheScrew I'm the opposite short ish with big everything so look like a flump 😂do you lose weight easily or? I take forever its so slow :(

@TemptingTess my aim is summer too! But won't be hard on myself if it doesn't happen,

Hi @lucy2204 I run outside. I find if I run on the quieter roads there's not many people around. Buy yourself some nice running gear and put your music on loud and you will forget about everyone else. I like the Lucy locket Leggings then a long top to cover my bum.

I was 16 stone and I need to get to 12 stone. I am 15 stone at the moment, I lost a stone then had a break now I am back on the wagon to lose another stone now.
I find having porridge for breakfast really fills me up, then soup for lunch.

Love the positivity on this thread! I was up and out this morning to do a food shop. Really proud that I stuck to the list as I usually pick extra bits up on the way round (treats) and often eat them in the car on the way home. I'm definitely a secret eater!
@SpookieDookie I agree about the porridge!
Trying to stick with less snacks, but finding I'm hungry between meals so going to focus on filling up with healthy foods at meals and drinking water.

@SpookieDookie will defo have to have a look into that brand and just go for it, will have to fit it in my day some how, prob early morning as no one will be about hopefully 🙈I'm ordering new scales the one which tells your bmi etc to, their only 20 on amazon atm, an you can connect your phone to track progress which is great for me anyway I was gna weigh in at boots but I don't think they'll have there scales working with covid I lost 6 stone around 5 years ago and then fell pregnant pretty much straight after and put 4 stone bk on -.- I was basically starving myself back then and it's not something I wna be doing... I think that's why it went on so quickly I want to be able to keep it off this time xx

@GarlicMushroom I secretly eat to -.- I try not to have bingey food in house but always by snacks/treats for the kids, tbf I snack on biscuits I just never no when to stop especially chocolate ones 😏
Hopefully if we all support each other everyone of us will stick to it this time 🙏

Hi everyone! I'll join. Have lost 20 lb since last August and ideally have about another 3 stone to lose. Fell off the wagon a bit in December due to moving house and Christmas but been back on it properly this week.

I'm doing 1200 calories per day and strength training 4-5 times a week. I use an app called aaptiv and hand held weights from Amazon

Can I join as well, I have more like 5 stone to lose (seems like such a lot!) I am doing shakes at the moment which I know aren’t popular but I’m just doing it for a kick start to see how it goes and to give me motivation and tbh I’m enjoying it and haven’t really struggled so far but then it’s only day 4! Haven’t weighed yet as I need to buy some new scales. Feeling very positive so far.

How are you finding the calorie counting, 1200 doesn’t go very far does it?
I am WFH and our internet has just broken requiring an engineer. I will skive off to the beach for a long walk after lunch and try not to think about how much work is building up!

Anyone else a huge pasta fan? I've seen a couple of healthy vids that use pasta but like how much is to much they don't say about how much to have etc

@iswhois yes come join us, that's great motivation tbh, going to have to look up strength training 🤔I was thinking about getting a kettle bell but not 1000% I want to make sure I'm committed properly before buying/looking at stuff

@givemeabreak88 I did shakes at one point to but got sooooo hungry after day 5 :( maybe I wasn't drinking enough along side them :/ good luck OK them tho Alot of people say shakes are "fads" but I know a few people that lost lots on slim fast what ones are you having?

@mumofone2019 that's soo good did you follow any diet in particular or just cut down on naughty foods

I'm at that point too, I have panic disorder and the best thing to help deal with it is exercise so thought I might as well diet at the same time
I'm a meal skipper then I end up catching up at night over eating -.- I'm my own worst enemy with food

Could I join please. I want to loose at least 4 stone by September which is my rescheduled wedding date!
I struggle with accountability and the fact DP can eat like an elephant but not put any weight on at all!

I go days with just one meal a day I'm guessing in that meal I'm over eating as I don't lose any weight 😂maybe I'm doing it wrong

I recently listened to ‘never binge again’ on audio book and although a lot of people don’t like his terminology and say it’s too harsh, it made a lot of sense to me. He is saying that there is a very basic part of our brain which will always try and gobble up everything we find as we needed to when we were more simple creatures. Now that (most of us) we have plentiful food we need to block out this primitive voice. So it gets you to personify the voice as being apart from yourself and try and ignore it’s nonsense!
I think it’s helped my stop bingeing so far.

@mumofone2019 I will defo have a watch once the kids have gone to bed tonight, is it hard to stick to I sooo want to do keto, one like a daily basis what would you say you eat? Just as an example, complete fine if you don't want to say xx
