I will be attempting to sort my fatness out, and start to make an effort with myself again.

I'm starting tomorrow, who's in?

Well that was a disastrous weekend - I did very well by having sea bass when I went out on Friday night, but then drank enough wine for about four people and spent the weekend hungover and ingesting carbs.

So my weightloss for the first week of my diet is 1.5lbs - better than nothing I suppose.

I went for a walk with my friend yesterday and she took a couple of pictures of me and DS and sent them to me. I was quite upset really as I look massive and I'd got used to not feeling that way about photos and I'd promised myself that I wouldn't go back there. Ho hum.

Anyway, jambalaya from the Pinch of Nom book tonight and a big salad - onwards we go.

DownUdderer · 19/10/2020 23:16

I'm going to burn some calories today doing housework. I've got a soup for dinner, soups help me lose weight.

Beroltheperil · 20/10/2020 08:25

Hello all

I'm on the shorties weightless thread but also have a Christmas time frame so can I join you?? I'm trying so hard to stay motivated but I agree @Snipples it is so boring... has to be done though!

I'm 6lb down and have 14lb to go.
Food is high lean protein and veg, low to moderate carb (I'm doing a lot of exercise) low dairy and not calorie counting or fasting. I'm trying to make it sustainable long term so building in treats. Already feel better in my jeans which is great!!

Have a good day everyone, keep going!!

AuldFox · 20/10/2020 16:19

Soups are the key to winter weight loss I find. Other foods tend to be on the stodgy yummy side

arobins513 · 20/10/2020 19:16

I try to eat eggs with all three meals, especially breakfast. I've been researching their benefits and it seems like you can literally drop a lot of pounds in days to weeks just by eating eggs daily.

I just started this week and my goal is to eat 1-2 eggs in 1-2 of my daily meals.

What are your thoughts on this? Anyone else tried it and been successful?

This is one video that I have watched to understand the importance of incorporating eggs into my daily meals: oke.io/791tvH4n

oo0Tinkerbell0oo · 20/10/2020 20:08

I haven't been able to get motivated, i need some inspiration re food. I currently weigh 11st 9lb....am looking to get 2 st off, not necessarily by Xmas but def by summer.

oo0Tinkerbell0oo · 20/10/2020 20:38

I did have my first run tonight, it was a stop and start affair 15 mins around the block but it's a start.

DownUdderer · 21/10/2020 00:54

Good work on doing a run @oo0Tinkerbell0oo

I have done a two day egg fast before, that shifts a couple of pounds if you get stuck in a plateau. But aftwards I couldn't face eggs for a couple of weeks!!

I'm having one day off today for DS birthday. We'll have a junky dinner, and cake! Then I'll refocus tomorrow.

another 3 lbs off this week - yay! - so that's 26 since August and 42 since last October. So close to "just" being overweight Grin.

LosingItInLockdown · 21/10/2020 09:54

Well done @MyVisionsComeFromSoup. That’s amazing!

oo0Tinkerbell0oo · 21/10/2020 10:39

Well done to the pp on their weight loss.....how do you do it. I've had an omelette for breakfast, no idea for lunch and having chicken and veg for dinner. I love crisps and need to cut these out.

FatGirlShrinking · 21/10/2020 11:10

@oo0Tinkerbell0oo slow and steady does it. Everyone finds their own ways and dietary needs, for me I have to be careful of carbs, they just go straight to my waist. So I go lowish carb, stick to about 1200-1300 calories a day and do 3x 30 min workouts a week minimum.

I also NEED to weigh daily and keep a track, otherwise I forget what I've eaten or lose focus and start drifting back to chocolate and crisps. I track my food in MFP and have a spreadsheet I made with my goals and progress so I can see what I'm working towards. I also do face and body photos at the beginning of every month as find I can't see the changes in the mirror but can see them in the photos.

@FatGirlShrinking

I have mfp on my phone and hope to put it to good use i'm just finding it hard to get motivated. I think i could do without carbs too or at least cut down a good bit. The photo idea is a brilliant idea as you can really see the difference....well done to you, looking good.

FatGirlShrinking · 21/10/2020 11:22

@MyVisionsComeFromSoup I'm very nearly not obese too, so close it's actually frustrating it hasn't happened yet and every time I step on the scales I'm willing the number to be under 200.

Today was 201 that 1 is so annoying!

I need another 4 lbs I think then I'm officially not obese.

DownUdderer · 23/10/2020 04:27

I'm down 5lbs for October, I'm happy and relieved.

I can really see the weightloss in my upper body now, and my legs, but the muffin top looks the same!

FatGirlShrinking · 23/10/2020 07:19

Today the number on the scales is 200. If I have a good few days I will be under 200 by Monday. That is the plan.

Just reviewed my 100 day challenge (MyFitnessPal challenge) results so far and over the course of 37 days I've lost 10lb.so around a 1lb every 3 days.

That's makes it just about possible if I really stick to my calories and do my workouts to be out of Obese range (down to 197lb) by the end of October.

From now until Christmas Eve
AuldFox · 24/10/2020 09:59

Oooh fatgirlshrinking you’re so close to getting under 200lbs! Fingers crossed for Monday weigh in!

How’s everyone else getting on so far?

Minnie123456 · 24/10/2020 13:08

Thank you @DownUdderer.
2lbs off this week, bmi down from 33.7 to 33.3

clairegrps · 24/10/2020 13:43

I'm 142 pounds and 5ft, I can no longer fit in to some of my clothes already, so I need to loose weight ready for Christmas. I did a deficit calorie calcalator and it said that I need to eat 952 calories a day to loose 14 pounds in 2 months. I tend to have sedentary life style due to being a carer. I find it hard to get out and about because of my daughter.

DownUdderer · 25/10/2020 05:12

I'm going out for a hike tomorrow, that should burn a few calories!

Lambkin14 · 25/10/2020 19:32

Can I join please? Still haven't shifted the baby weight and want to start ttcing for another sometime next year. Think my weight is hovering around 100kg Confusedbut will properly weigh in the morning. There's 9 weeks to Christmas so I'm going to aim for 5kg loss (that's about a 1lb a week which hopefully will be doable). Will be using myfitness pal to track calories, start doing yoga again and stop eating so much crap!

DownUdderer · 26/10/2020 02:28

1lb is very wise target, it's certainly achievable.

I've had my walk. I'd planned a walk on the beach but the rain has caused flooding so I just walked locally. I got drenched but I don't mind, I had waterproofs on.

Lambkin14 · 26/10/2020 07:56

I think I'm going to have to dig the waterproofs out today for a walk, the weather is awful.
Just weighed - 100.8kg so if I can get to 95kg by Christmas I'll be pleased!
