I will be attempting to sort my fatness out, and start to make an effort with myself again.

I'm starting tomorrow, who's in?

10.10 this morning Smilevery pleased with that

FatGirlShrinking · 28/11/2020 10:20

190lb this morning so a total of 3st 1lb gone, only 4lb till I've lost 20% of my starting bodyweight.

Started November at 198lb so 8lb loss so far.

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 29/11/2020 12:04

have had a couple of weeks off, but quickly realised that I need to do a LOT more work on food issues if this weight loss of going to stick. I need to dig out the self help books again, and start putting some effort in (as well as getting back onto the plan asap).

I'm about 4lbs up on my last weigh in (in my defence I've just had my 50th birthday in lockdown, and although I genuinely don't mind growing older, it hit me a bit hard being here by myself, and not being able to do any of the things I'd earmarked for being birthday treats - art gallery, nice lunch out that kind of thing).

Also I think it's partly fear, I haven't been lighter than this in a very long time, and I know I need to work on self confidence etc etc etc, as being fat was an easy excuse for not caring/making an effort/loving myself. But, mid life crisis means a shake up of all sorts of things, so I should really just roll with it, and see where I end up. Maybe a new haircut?

FatGirlShrinking · 02/12/2020 07:34

Start of this weight loss journey was 233lb, BMI 35.4

25/11/2020 - 192lb, BMI 29.2
02/12/2020 - 190lb, BMI 28.9

Loss this week - 2lb
Loss this month - 2 lb
Total loss since starting - 43 lb

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 02/12/2020 09:07

Well done @FatGirlShrinking! Another 2 lbs this week? You’re amazing!

My stats are:
Starting weight (July) - 12 stone 8lb
Weigh on 1/10 11 stone 5
Current Weight 10 stone 10 and BMI 24.9!

I’d still like to like to lose another half a stone but am really happy today.

FatGirlShrinking · 02/12/2020 09:13

@GhoulWithADragonTattoo well done! You're in the healthy BMI bracket, that must feel like such an achievement!

11stone 10lb will put me into the top of the healthy range so 1st12lb left to go. I reckon that's possible by end of February as long as I don't go wild Xmas and New Years.

I'd love it if I went into lockdown obese, and came out of lockdown healthy. It would feel like there was some purpose to the shit show that has been 2020.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 02/12/2020 09:17

Thank you! I’m sure you will get to healthy weight so quickly! You’re clearly in the zone!Flowers

When I told DH I was healthy weight today he suggested we celebrate with pizza...Grin

AuldFox · 02/12/2020 12:06

@GhoulWithADragonTattoo

Many congratulations on getting into the healthy BMI range!

@FatGirlShrinking you’ve done amazingly well so far, the best thing you could have done for your health in the covid era!

Loss this month - 5 lb
Total loss since starting - 46 lb

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 09/12/2020 07:40

Wow! You’re doing so well again @FatGirlShrinking.

I’ve lost another pound this week so 10 stone 9lbs. Only 1 lb to go to 2 stone loss...hopefully next week :)

AuldFox · 09/12/2020 09:10

Very well done @FatGirlShrinking and @GhoulWithADragonTattoo

It’s weigh in day again for me:

Start weight: 67.1kg
Current weight: 62kg
Total loss: 5.1kg

I’m really happy with that! I have one more weigh in before Christmas, but the Christmas goodies have multiplied everywhere, so I’ll be happy if I can just maintain between now and the new year Smile

Do you have a final pre-Christmas weigh-in day?

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 09/12/2020 09:20

@AuldFox Well done on your weight loss! You’ve done brilliantly!

You are right it’s so hard with all the Christmas goodies everywhere. I think you’re plan of maintaining until New Year’s Day is a good one! I really want to lose the 2 stone before Christmas so will try for last pound next week and then maintain for a couple of weeks. You need to find balance between enjoying Christmas but. without going crazy...Grin

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 09/12/2020 09:52

sliding quietly back in, still haven't had my head in the right place up till a couple of days ago, but have lost three of the four pounds I put on, so I'm getting back on track. If I work really hard for the next two weeks (shakes and exercise bike) I can be a lot trimmer round the belly before Christmas which will be very exciting. Plus I know what kind of food intake I'm going to need to be at when I reintroduce actual food (depressingly little Sad) to maintain.

Well done to everyone Flowers

ivyjoy · 13/12/2020 11:48

10 st 8 this morning. So close to my goal. Well done everyone.

FatGirlShrinking · 13/12/2020 12:36

Weighed in at 185lb which means I have now lost 20.6% of my starting body weight and only 21 lb left till I get into the healthy BMI.

1st Aug 2020 = 233lb - 12th Dec 2020 = 185lb

Wondering if with a concerted push I could get to 180lb by the end of the year.

AuldFox · 14/12/2020 12:53

Well done @MyVisionsComeFromSoup and @ivyjoy it’s so hard to lose anything in December. Everyone goes on a diet in January, we just got a head start Xmas Grin

@FatGirlShrinking I think you can do it, but will that entail saying no to all the Christmas goodies? That’s hard core!

FatGirlShrinking · 14/12/2020 13:41

@AuldFox it will either be greatly reducing my normal Xmas treat consumption or doing a LOT more exercise to make up for all the chocolate and mince pies, and the random stupid M&S 18 layers of different chocolate type stuff festive pudding we get for Xmas day 🤣

Not sure it's doable and not willing to be a total diet grinch over Xmas but going to see if a few sensible choices make a dent.

AuldFox · 14/12/2020 13:47

@FatGirlShrinking that’s a very good plan, much better plan than mine, which is basically hiding the scales until 2021 Xmas Grin

AuldFox · 14/12/2020 13:57

I’ve just been thinking about the number of parties I would have attended by the end of December:

  1. Work party
  2. Choir party
  3. Thanksgiving with our American friends
  4. At least one drinks/party with friends
  5. Ballet and dinner with my in laws
  6. Cocktail party at neighbours
  7. Festive dinner out with DH only
  8. Show and dinner with kids

None of this is happening this year. So really, way fewer opportunities to indulge here. Surely, I can’t gain much weight this Christmas right?!

MyVisionsComeFromScent · 15/12/2020 08:27

aaaarrrrgggghhh, just stood on the scales, and I now start with a 12 Shock. Looks like my instructions to DD3 to not let me be talked into takeaway/mince pies/actual food worked Grin.

Less than three stones to go now, woo!

ivyjoy · 16/12/2020 07:13

10lb 7.2 ! So so close!

ivyjoy · 16/12/2020 07:13

Should say 10 stone 7.2

ivyjoy · 18/12/2020 07:26

10 st 6.4!! I did it!! Well done everyone! I'm going to try to maintain over Christmas then my new goal in new year is 10 stoneSmile

FatGirlShrinking · 19/12/2020 15:14

Well done @ivyjoy !

I saw 184lb, if I could shift 4 lb by 1st jan that would make me very happy.
