I will be attempting to sort my fatness out, and start to make an effort with myself again.

I'm starting tomorrow, who's in?

OP posts:
MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 26/10/2020 08:09

as of this morning, I'm officially "just" overweight Grin. In total I've lost 3 st 2.5lbs, and on this VLCD, I'm 2st down.

And I'm off to Lanzarote for a cheap week in the sun later this week, won't be taking shakes with me, but will be eating loads of fruit and nice tapas-ey bits. No cocktails though, (alcohol is dangerous with a VLCD) as I don't want to get too far out of ketosis and bugger up getting back on with it when I come back.

Maybe I'll just sweat off some more fat instead Wink

AuldFox · 26/10/2020 11:55

Congrats on being overweight myvisions !

Well done on getting to this milestone, have fun on your holiday (but not too much food fun!)

FatGirlShrinking · 26/10/2020 12:24

Bloody fantastic @MyVisionsComeFromSoup !!

Enjoy your holiday, you've done amazingly.

Lambkin14 · 26/10/2020 13:57

Oh wow that's amazing, well done @MyVisionsComeFromSoup definitely a well deserved holiday!

joysmoy · 27/10/2020 10:35

11.1 this morning so 2 lbs offSmilewell done everyone

Graciebobcat · 27/10/2020 11:10

Well done all. 1lb off this week, I've been losing just over 1lb a week. Still feeling pretty motivated. 12st 11lbs now down from 13st 4lbs in mid September. Great to get out of the 13s, and this week got out of the 180s in lbs.

My next mini goal is getting past 12st 8lbs which was the lightest I got to last year.

LosingItInLockdown · 28/10/2020 04:17

Well done everyone. @Graciebobcat - you’re not far off that target at all! Good luck getting under 12st 8lbs.

No real change here. It’s TOTM but I’ve also not been particularly virtuous. I’ve been better with evening meals but still eating too many unhealthy snacks. I’ve just started logging stuff on MFP and it’s confirmed that I’m eating way too much sugar (which tbh I knew already). So over the coming weeks I’m going to work on reducing my sugar intake.

FatGirlShrinking · 28/10/2020 07:19

Start of this weight loss journey was 233lb, BMI 35.4
30/09/2020 - 207lb, BMI 31.5
07/10/2020 - 205lb, BMI 31.2
14/10/2020 - 203lb, BMI 30.9
21/10/2020 - 201lb, BMI 30.6
28/10/2020 - 198lb, BMI 30.1
Loss this week - 3 lb
Loss this month - 9lb
Total loss since starting - 35lb

AuldFox · 28/10/2020 10:07

I’ve lost another kilo.
Total loss so far: 2.1 kg.
I’m losing very slowly but a loss is a loss!
Now sitting at 65kg.

Well done to all the losers!

Graciebobcat · 28/10/2020 11:44

Yes, I'm not far off but sometimes it can seem very far indeed! My goal for BMI 25 is 11st 6lbs, and overall goal is 11st to give me a bit of wriggle room. But setting shorter term, achievable goals seems to be key whilst still having my eyes on the overall prize! Cutting down sugar is a good idea, definitely. I pretty much only have any in the form of alcohol (and then in moderation).

Well done all, some really impressive stats there.

I was 14 and a half stone at my heaviest in 2016 and have stayed under 13 and a half since then but tend to keep losing and then putting back on the same stone each year. Hoping this time I can keep going and get to goal instead.

joysmoy · 28/10/2020 19:26

10.13.8 today and it's my birthday and I'm just so excited to be in the 10's!!! Grin

Graciebobcat · 28/10/2020 22:20

Well done @joysmoy!

DownUdderer · 29/10/2020 01:04

It's totm for me, so that's normally a week of no weightloss for me. It's easier to accept when it's part of a pattern. It's too easy to get disappointed with a stall, but if I can acknowledge that this always happens every month then hopefully I won't get too upset!

joysmoy · 29/10/2020 11:18

Thank you Grin

Lambkin14 · 29/10/2020 20:06

Well done @joysmoy hope you had a lovely birthday too!

Weighed myself today and already 0.7kg down, but not sure if it's just water weight.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good app for recording weight/BMI etc? I use myfitness pal but ideally I'd like something where you can input your data and targets

FatGirlShrinking · 29/10/2020 21:02

@Lambkin14 this is a blank of the spreadsheet I made to track my weight if it's any use

drive.google.com/file/d/1mjaVTijjOxYjXruqLq14A113BVyhDBph/view?usp=sharing

I did a little happy dance earlier. Last pair of trousers I bought were a size 22, today I bought a size 16 pair of joggers from sainsburys and they fit! I know sainsburys come up a bit big so I'm probably more of an 18 but still happy with that compared to a 22.

Plus I now have some trousers that aren't a hazard on a windy day, my others are so baggy now I may just fly away if they catch a breeze.

joysmoy · 29/10/2020 21:16

Thank you lambkin and well done to you! Well done fatgirlshrinking Smile

DownUdderer · 30/10/2020 04:20

I like happy scale app, and one called monitor your weight.

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 30/10/2020 09:13

congratulations everyone Grin. I'm on holiday complete with two new bikinis(size 16 down from size 20), and was being complimented by my apartment neighbour as to my weight loss, and how good I looked (we met while trying to find the transfer bus at the airport, discovered we were staying at the same place, and then the lady at reception decided we were on holiday together, so put us next door to each other). So a weird over-sharing of personal info, but hey, we're on holiday.

Back on food this week (wasn't going to fill my case up with packets of shakes), but being really careful - fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, and cold meat/cheese/hummous/veg for dinner, and as much water as I can drink. So fingers crossed I won't do too much damage. Plus can't drink until my carb intake is way up, so no excess calories there. And if I can swim every hour or so each afternoon, plus go out walking every morning, my exercise levels will be good too.

DownUdderer · 31/10/2020 00:07

@MyVisionsComeFromSoup you're very dedicated to stick to weightloss on a holiday! Congrats.

I'm 7lb down for the month of October. I'm nearly at goal weight. How's everyone else going?

Lambkin14 · 31/10/2020 13:23

@FatGirlShrinking thank you for the spreadsheet, it's brilliant!

I'm down 0.7kg which I'm pretty pleased with seeing as I only started Monday. Today isn't quite as good a day seeing as it's Halloween there's a few chocolates around the house!

FatGirlShrinking · 31/10/2020 14:31

I've written today off @Lambkin14 😂 I don't think I've actually had too many calories (yet) but in an effort to make up for COVID ruining everything for my 6 yo we're having a Halloween fiesta at home.

Treasure hunt, pumpkin carving, trick or treat in her room, movies and an all day buffet - sausage rolls, cheese straws, jelly, cupcakes, strawberries.... basically all the foods she likes and a load of extra sweets 😂

DownUdderer · 01/11/2020 01:49

I wore my goal skirt yesterday! Wow! Such a great surprise that it fit.

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 04/11/2020 09:56

Right I’ve finally managed to get weighed on a Wed. I’ve lost 5 lbs in Oct and my scales started with a 10 for the first time since having DS who’s 10!

Starting weight (1 July) - 12 st 8lb
Weight on 1 Oct - 11 st 5lbs
Current weight - 10 st 13.8lbs!

Glad to see you ladies making excellent losses! Star

DownUdderer · 04/11/2020 23:53

@GhoulWithADragonTattoo congrats! Great weightloss! It's such a great feeling to get into a new weight bracket, isn't it!
