I will be attempting to sort my fatness out, and start to make an effort with myself again.

I'm starting tomorrow, who's in?

OP posts:
BestestBrownies · 04/10/2020 11:01

Weighed in this morning and I’ve managed to lose 2.2lbs in 2 weeks! Taking me to exactly 12 stone (goal 10 stone and size 8/10).

Been doing the 16:8 fasting which seems to have kick-started weight loss again (had plateaued).

Helgathehairy · 04/10/2020 14:01

That’s brilliant bestest!! Congratulations.

Sunday is the one day I don’t weigh myself (in general I weigh everyday) so my weigh in day is tomorrow.

Snipples · 04/10/2020 15:30

How are we doing? I tend to weigh daily but only really count it on a Thursday as it can fluctuate. Was keeping a low profile as had "put on" 3lbs which was irritating but they've shifted now. It's amazing how much one dodgy meal can have an impact.

I'm doing a challenge with my friends that we have to walk 200k in October which works out to be about 8k steps a day. Been making sure I do that to stay on track.

wizzbangfizz · 04/10/2020 16:27

I've had a shocking weekend - going to start in earnest tomorrow!

AuldFox · 04/10/2020 18:35

Doing ok so far! Not much exercise in this rainy weather, but snacking less and trying 5:2 fasting. My first weigh-in is on 14th October (I weigh every 2 weeks)

Coffeeandaride · 04/10/2020 20:47

Not a bad weekend, one snack of a piece of fruit late in the day seemed to help. I do find it easier to keep on track in the week. Rained though and didn’t get out for exercise. Did my indoor exercises which I wouldn’t have done without accountability to you all, so thank you. Going to wait a week - ie until Thursday to weigh myself.

BestestBrownies · 04/10/2020 20:58

Thanks @Helgathehairy Smile

I’m trying to hit 10k steps per day and playing my sport twice a week @Snipples but it doesn’t always go to plan.

Wish it wasn’t so rainy and miserable out. Wanted a long walk on the beach with the dog today, but we had to snuggle in front of the fire instead Grin

I have only just seen this thread but prior to lockdown I weighed 11 st 0 and felt good. Then lockdown happened and the baking ensued. It didn't help that the scales ran out of batteries and we didn't replace them for ages...

Monday 28th September (so a day before this thread began) I weighed myself and was experiencing a LOT of fear 😂. The scales said 11st 12lb meaning I'd put on 12lb since March (sob).

Anyway the last week I've behaved myself (although i did make an apple streusel cake). Reducing the carbs and exercising more (ran about 26 miles this week) and have lost 1.5lb.

Putting me at 10.5lb off my target weight.

I don't work Mondays but don't plan to run today either...I do however need to drop off some books at the library which is 2 miles away so rather than drive I plan to walk there and back later.

Christmas is likely to be a very quiet one due to the pandemic so it's not as though I'll be flaunting my sexy Christmas body in little Christmas tutus or anything and no one other than my husband will see me but it's definitely worth having a goal to strive for!

Helgathehairy · 05/10/2020 12:44

So I weighed this morning after a week of 4:3 and I’d lost NOTHING!!

I’m quite dis-heartened but still going on. My weekend wasn’t brilliant but it was a lot better than some other weekends I’ve had.

Focusing on drinking more water and no alcohol during the week.

AuldFox · 05/10/2020 16:06

Don’t be disheartened. It can take a couple of weeks to start losing even one lb, and you will have plateau weeks where you will lose nothing and shake your fists at the gods.

This is when we have to support each other to keep going. Keep on keeping on! Smile

Coffeeandaride · 05/10/2020 18:01

Well said AuldFox, keep going Helga/ everyone.

BestestBrownies · 05/10/2020 18:43

Welcome @NatMoz! I think DH might appreciate a little Christmas tutu Wink. Might be difficult finding one to fit him though... ShockGrin

@AuldFox is right @Helgathehairy. I have been stuck on a plateau/losing really sloooowly for months.

Don’t give up!

drizzleborn · 06/10/2020 09:37

Official weigh in for me today and I've lost 2.2lbs in my first week.

I was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer last month and so need to not leave my stomach empty too long which makes it tricky.

Well done to everyone to sticking with it and if you didn't fell down, that you've picked yourself up and come back to it.

I had some brilliant days and a couple of days where I didn't but it's evened out. I've menu planned for the family this week so everyone is eating healthier. I'm looking to change my eating habits In October and then add in exercise in November.

Cavagirl · 06/10/2020 11:32

Well done everyone! I've lost 1lb since last week.... hoping to break 10 stone before we go away for half term when I'll no doubt put it all back on

@Helgathehairy yes definitely give the loose tea a go if you've got into brewed coffee. And it's better for the environment too Grin

FatGirlShrinking · 06/10/2020 11:41

Hi all, can I join please.

I'm doing a 100 day weigh every day challenge on MyFitness pal which I started on 17th September, on day 20 today and 5lb down.

I've lost 28lb since starting at the beginning of August and find threads and challenges like this keep me motivated.

Started at 233 lb, currently 205 lb and need to get to 197lb to leave the obese category then 164 lb to get into the Healthy category so loads left to lose.

I would like to lose 20 lb in my 100 days which takes me to Xmas day.

Helgathehairy · 06/10/2020 13:29

Thanks all. I need to stop weighing in on a Monday and switch to Saturday I think!

Will be 5:2 this week as yesterday didn’t go to plan.

AuldFox · 06/10/2020 13:45

A bad day here or there won’t matter in the long run. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Congrats to all those posting your first losses, what a fantastic start!

Welcome to all the newbies, the more the merrier! Smile

AuldFox · 06/10/2020 13:47

fatgirlshrinking you’ve achieved an amazing loss so far, WOW! Star

NatMoz · 06/10/2020 20:32

It's been a day of two halves today.

Ate a 2 fingered Kitkat and the final slice of the Apple Streusel I made at the weekend (oops).

I did however force myself to go running straight after work (I WFH due to Corona).

My ankles felt tight to begin with and 3.5 miles in I was ready to toss in the towel and ring my husband to pick me up BUT I said NOOO I'm a strong woman I can do this only 2.5 miles to go COME ON.

Thing is, I misjudged the distance...soooooo 4 miles later I was finally home just before it got dark.

Yes that's right due to terrible estimations I went on a 7.5 mile run 😂

Minnie123456 · 06/10/2020 22:04

Can I join please? I aways join weightloss threads then forget about them, although I like the idea of loosing a stone by Christmas. Im fed up of being miserable about my weight.
I haven't weighed myself since end of Sept, I was 13stone 6.5lbs then which is the heaviest i've ever been. I know i'm heavier than that now.
I need to loose about 1 1/2 stone to get to overweight range and about 3 1/2 stone to get to healthy range.
I will try and weigh myself tomorrow to find out what I actually weigh.

Right first weekly weigh in for me and I’ve lost 1lb down to 11st 4lb. I’ve kept to 1200 calories most days logged on my Fitness Plan although DH did make crumble yesterday so went a bit over for that. I’m doing lots of exercise too. Tennis, walking and Davina McCall DVD this week.
