I will be attempting to sort my fatness out, and start to make an effort with myself again.

I'm starting tomorrow, who's in?

lost just 1 lb this week - annoyed because on 600 cals a day (VLCD) it should really have been more, but I think I'm probably not drinking enough water, so I'm going to up that this week, and get over the blip.

Also annoyed because my size 18 jeans are too big, but the size 16s are too tight round the waistband. Sigh. I'll maybe have a week of wearing dresses and see how that goes.

However, saw DD briefly at the weekend, and she was very complimentary about the difference in hugging me round the middle from when she went off to uni three weeks ago, so there's that I suppose.

Loss this week - 1 lb
Loss this month - 1 lb
Total loss since starting - 21 lbs (plus the stone I managed this time last year)

So close to dropping from obese to just overweight!

I've not checked in for a while but weight this morning was 13.8 so I've dropped 3lbs since the thread started. Slow and steady.

What I have found is that I need to drink tonnes of water or the weight doesn't shift. I need to keep an eye on cals/ carb intake even if I exercise loads as that seems to stop me losing. When I'm struggling to shift the pounds a quick fast helps get the scales moving - for me this means no dinner 1-2 times a week.

Hope you're all getting on ok. Little steps towards progress every day add up to big changes over time.

Just checked and need to shift another 6lbs before dropping into "overweight" category so that's my next little target.

I do feel like I have lead bones but will go by the BMI chart!

First weigh in, 11st 2 from 11st 5 so 3lbs done. I think it's a bit of a blip as it's was only 1lb the day before. We'll see how next week goes!

Well done to everyone.

@Snipples you are absolutely right. I've read it's because your body needs it to dodgy science explanation alert dilute the fat it's processing, so if you don't drink enough it basically slows fat processing down rather than risk your kidneys. That's another reason why alcohol is so detrimental to weight loss, being a diuretic. It makes sense to me but I'm sure someone will be along with a proper explanation soon! 😂
Anyway you've really prompted me to go and get a massive glass of water because I really notice the difference when I drink a lot - so thanks!!

Can I join please? I want to completely alter how I eat, how I view food and my body. I know how to do it, it's just doi g it ghats difficult!
So want to start with losing some weight for Christmas as this is typically I time I gain. I'm 72.5 kg at 5"3. Ultimate goal weight is 57 kg but for christmas I'd like to be 67 kg. My main difficulty is that I crave sweet things and crisps in the evening and then I have an all or nothing mentality were I have to eat all the food!

Bang on 12 for me today. 1.5lbs off and if I behave myself I really ought to meet my first target of a weight beginning with an 11 by this time next week.
Lots of great things going on here!

It was Wednesday I weighed last week, not Thursday, so going to try and stick to Wednesdays.
68.4kg today so really pleased with that. Motivation boosted to keep at it.

Welcome to the 12 stone club @overwork Smile

Is anyone else rewarding themselves for hitting targets? I had my hair done when I lost the first stone and I’ve got my eye on a leather jacket now I’ve lost the second stone

I'd love to join in, I find threads like this so helpful with keeping me focused on my goal. Also it's funny sometimes how you can absorb some good weightloss tips along the way! I totally imagine my fat going down the toilet after I've drunk loads of water!!

I'm down two pounds from the beginning of the month. I stick to 16:8 intermittent fasting, it really curbs evening snacking.

Thanks @BestestBrownies Grin
Might try and push for just over a stone as 11st by Xmas does sound lovely.
Now to force myself out of bed and go for a run before work in the rain ...

I started on a Thursday so I weighed in this morning and I lost 9lbs this week. Just another 81 lbs to go Grin. I won’t lose it by Xmas but hoping to be a good two stone down.

Right I’ve given my head a wobble and I’m back. I weighed in at 11 stone 1 this morning so I’m breaking this down to tiny goals.

1st goal 10 stone 13 -2 pounds
2nd 10 stone 9 - 4 pounds
3rd 10 stone 7 - 2 pounds
4th 10 stone 3 - 4 pounds

So 12 pounds in 11 weeks should be doable. Although things will probably slow when the Baileys coffees start!!

Please can I join too? I’m currently 12 stone 3 and have been at this weight for months. I’m 12 months PP and the weight loss just stalled months ago (to be fair, there wasn’t a massive weight loss in the early days either!). I’m not expecting miracles as I’m too sleep deprived to do anything radical, plus we’re still in lockdown (7 months now Sad), but I would love to lose 7lbs by Christmas.

Eeek - Christmas is 11 weeks today Smile!

I made flapjack, I've not had any in years and I've had four pieces today! I think I could have had something more healthy but also they contain oats so that's somewhat healthy! They just turned out so well, chewy and yum.

I'm trying to get plenty of water today.

Good luck everyone.

I weighed myself this morning and I'm 13.5. Was 13.11 on 30 Sept so that's 6lbs off since then! I am so so pleased.

I find sometimes the scales don't move for a while and then you get a decent drop! Keep sticking at it!

Weighed in this morning 15.1 which is a 4 lb loss so I am happy! I weighed in last Wednesday so it's a 9 day but I'm going to weigh in each Friday now. It would be so good to be in the 14 stone category next week!

Those are brilliant losses - well done! Hope you all have good weekends.

I had pizza yesterday so not amazing, but apart from that yesterday wasn’t too bad. I’m heading out for a run today so that’s something. I really need to work on eating and drinking less sugar (iced coffees, Mochas, things like that).

Great losses there everyone, well done!

Making flapjack was a brave move @DownUdderer. I can’t have temptation in the house. I either feel guilty for eating it or angry because I can’t! Grin

Feeling shitty today Sad

I washed my hair yesterday and when I came to brush it before bed (once it had dried), a fuckton fell out. Apparently it’s a common side-effect of weight loss Sad

@BestestBrownies Shockhope that is just a blip! I checked the NHS app yesterday and I need to lose 11lbs to just get into the healthy weight range so that doesn't seem overly unattainable!

DownUdderer · 10/10/2020 11:34

Well, the flapjack was a mistake! I ate loads of it, I just love it! Honestly I'd hoped it would be a snack the kids would enjoy as a treat, but they're so fussy. They turned their noses up at it!

I'm refocusing tomorrow. I need to stock up on some veggies and fruit, that'll help me!

Not posted in a while (been hiding!) I weighed on Thursday morning and am down to 12:0 3/8ths - which is 6lbs less than my starting weight. Still convinced it's a fluke but goes to show how many calories is in my 'just a little one' drink each night and my 'just a couple' of biscuits/crisps/chocolates etc!

However, I can feel my snacking creeping up and it was a big birthday of my Mum's (she's part of our bubble so there has been a boozy breakfast and a boozy tea out :/) but I'm 100% back in! Hope the number will keep creeping down if I really get back on track!

Having a chinese takeaway tonight but sticking with boiled rice and veg in blackbean - an old slimming world fall back!

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!
