Sounds like you were properly busy wreck, you know yourself when you’ve done a lot. Don’t need the watch to tell you that.
Remember when a watch just told the time! Or in the case of a couple of fancy ones I got for gifts, looked pretty (you could barely tell the time off them tbh)
I wonder if they’ll find in a few years that these activity tracking watches caused damage rather than good for some. Change of plan for dinner, takeaway instead of roast, gotta just roll with it

That's what matters if you feel good.

Change of dinner plan here to as mine smelt off.

Snickers ice cream to compensate. 150 over

WreckTangled · 10/05/2020 21:12

196 under. I didn't have any cheese with my dinner despite loving it Grin

Not2bObvious · 10/05/2020 21:56

Takeaway was only ok. Didn’t eat a huge amount but don’t you know with the oil & salt, it’ll be 4lb on the scales. Anyway, nothing to be done now.
150 over for snickers icecream = totally worth it life
196 under and resisting cheese? You’re a warrior wreck😉

WreckTangled · 10/05/2020 22:21

I don't like nuts but really like the mars ice creams!

Not I have got to try and reduce my cheese consumption as my cholesterol isn't great Blush I had some melba toast with humous earlier which was nice though. They're pretty good calorie wise.

WreckTangled · 11/05/2020 06:17

2.2lb up on last week 😭

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/05/2020 07:12

It wasn't that great not unfortunately.
Cheese however mmmm well done wreck.

New week. Time to shift the weekend weigh before Friday....Grin

LaneBoy · 11/05/2020 07:27

1.8 down so hopefully that means I’ve got myself back on track after a few weeks gaining. 1.2 to go to get back to my lowest this year.

Mega cravings are still a problem 🙄😳 but I at least have managed more exercise I guess.

Wolfcub · 11/05/2020 09:42

Up again. Angry

Not2bObvious · 11/05/2020 11:58

Monday weights usually suck, up 1.2 on yesterday which is better than I expected or probably deserved.
Nice one lane, that’s a great achievement. Cravings are tough, is it sweet or savoury you’re hankering after? I can’t remember if you calorie count or follow a specific plan, do you think you’d have room for a little of what you fancy? Denying cravings too stringently can cause a splurge, maybe that’s not a problem for you. I have an awful habit of trying to avoid the thing I want, eat 10 other things then eat the thing I wanted in the end. For sure though I’ve either got to save some cals for the weekend, and then not go too overboard on the weekends. This is what’s perpetuating my lack of progress.

Hey everyone,

I've been meaning to join this thread after recommendations from the credit crunch forum!

I've been losing weight on and off for my whole adult life, I thought I'd managed to understand how it works and find my willpower but recently I've put on two stone, so really need to lose that plus a bit more!

I'm using mfp to track calories, which are set at 1520 a daily, this doesn't sound much but I'm only just over 5ft tall!

Can anyone share lunch and dinner ideas for 500-600 cals? This is where I struggle as you don't get much pasta or potatoes for your calories! I try to avoid carbs in the evening but it's not always possible.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

WreckTangled · 11/05/2020 17:55

Below cals and kitchen closed for the day. Ignoring the jelly babies I had to eat for low sugar levels Angry dinner was pulled chilli chicken with roasted cauliflower and chickpeas. Delicious.

Not2bObvious · 11/05/2020 20:16

You’re very welcome camden, how are you finding sticking to 1500’ish? I’d say up the protein for staying fuller, and it’s usually low enough cals. Not sure if you eat meat or not, chicken or steak or fish with veg/salad can be filling & low cal. If you’re veggie/vegan there’s others who can suggest ideas? Not sure if you’re about curvy (forgotten how to tag sorry) to make suggestions
I forgot about your medicinal jelly babies wreck - your low carb meals sound so nice.
I had pie & mash tonight 😋

I've been having pea pasta as better calorie and macro count. . Not doing well on 1600 but stress eating today. Rubbish steps. .

Hey ho. Tomorrow will be better

Wolfcub · 11/05/2020 21:36

I think I've worked the problem out. I've gone from having no appetite to literally being hungry all the time and am therefore eating more, especially close to bedtime when my stomach is growling and I know it'll keep me awake. Grrr I need to sort this out I can literally see the difference the 3lb I've gained has made and I am not happy

CamdenLurker · 11/05/2020 21:37

Thanks not - i do eat meat, so try and fill up as you said, find lunch times difficult because of the bread issue, I've been having eggs, but I'm reluctant to take them Into work Envy

I've been trying to lose the carbs at dinner (tea) time, today I had bolognese with mushrooms and broccoli instead of pasta, it was ok, If a bit odd, I did miss the pasta but tried not to think about it lol.

The problem I have (mentally) is that as soon as I decide to try and sort out my eating I become obsessed and want to lose weight instantly, I'm also a daily weigher which can be an issue.

I'll try and plan my meals so I can stay in control, and no excuses when I really want to eat junk.

CamdenLurker · 11/05/2020 21:39

Life - where do you buy pea pasta? I used to buy Biona spelt past from Holland and Barrett but it's very expensive.

WreckTangled · 12/05/2020 06:39

Camden you need to go to Aldi and get the edamame bean futtucine. Low carb and pretty tasty. Or the soy bean spaghetti.

Wolf can you have a herbal tea or something in the evening? Or a sugar free jelly?

I've actually put on almost 10lb in total I'm so gross with myself. And I feel disgusting.

0.2lb down today so that's something

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/05/2020 07:19

Camden Aldi but it's a bit hit and miss in the aisle of wonder. Or bigger Sainsbury's. I have the beetroot and lentil one to try. It's about £1.20 for 500g so not cheap but worth it imo.
.sts today but had a right chocolate fest last night. Combo of being hungry and stressed.
Today will be better. The sun is out

Not2bObvious · 12/05/2020 07:59

You’re dealing with it wreck, that’s what’s most important - very few calories burnt when beating ourselves up. It’s not a great feeling alright but no looking back only forward.
Says she who hasn’t done her weigh in yet and will v likely be back in a strop!
Feeling lazy already, sunny but v cold here.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 12/05/2020 09:49

Down 1.6 on yesterday, average now up by .2, hoping to see it drop a bit by Sunday.
Got a walk in, just under 7,500 done.
Egg, wholemeal toast and a rasher to get me started, I was under on calories yesterday - very likely be close to my limits today.

OP posts:
CamdenLurker · 12/05/2020 11:25

Just popping by to recommend these from the coop, they are really refreshing and only 38 cals each, £1.50 for a box of 6, not too pricey. I'm not a coop shopper but I passed one on Sunday that didn't have a queue, got sucked into the £5 meal deal for the kids and picked up a few other bits.

Thanks for the pasta info wreck and life, I'm going to keep an eye out in Sainsbury's for it, Aldi's car park is always bedlam here.

Couldn't resist! Low cal day otherwise so it's ok...

Not2bObvious · 12/05/2020 12:11

Yummmmm wreck, it’d be rude not to.
They look good camden, no coop here sadly but I did get lovely faux mini soleros in Lidl, only 60 cals although they are v small. Nice icecream hit for that number.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 12/05/2020 18:08

Under calories for the day although not great food choices! Expect I'll be up on tomorrow's weigh in.
