I’m on day 4 of giving up chocolate and crisps. So far it’s going well. Lockdown is definitely helping, no nipping to the shop to get snacks or sandwiches. I’ve lost 1.3kg this first week. I’m cooking everyday and eating healthy food.

I’m hoping to continue after lockdown too. Must lose weight, my starting weight was 172.6kg. My goal weight is 90kg. Hopefully going to Disney once I’ve lost the weight, that’s my reward.

Anyone Want to join me? What’s your goal and is lock down helping you?

Logging yesterday's meals:

B: a porridge sachet with blueberries, a tsp of almond butter and a drizzle of maple syrup

L: I made a cauliflower, chickpea and tomato curry. It was supposed to last two lunches but I realised the calorie content was so little that I ate the lot!

D: bean chilli that I'd made in the slow cooker which was so good! With 30g mature cheese and half a pouch of microwave rice & quinoa.

S: oat milk in hot beverages. A banana.

This morning I have attempted to make baked oats but I think I've made it too milky to bake Sad

catinb0oots · 10/04/2020 09:45

@Yorkshire your chicken supreme sounds lovely! And @firsttimelottie so does your curry! I'm lying in bed feeling hungry now.

I just weighed myself when I went to the loo and I'm 10lb down since 01/04. I know it's mostly water but it's so motivating to see the scales move (despite me saying i'd only weigh on Mondays!)

What exercise is everyone doing today?

OldLace · 10/04/2020 09:51

Can I join in, please?
I've gained a stone since last summer so currently 11.11
I'd like to be 9.9, but would settle for 10st.

I am finding it hard to remember what i am eating as my two kids with ASD are eating constantly (all scratch meals and healthy snacks, but loads and loads, they are teens...) so food seems everywhere atm.

I am best low carb but i struggle without a square of 85/%choc at night (which i need as i have pernicious anemia)

I am missing walking (not a lot as i have crutches but feel very trapped atm)

EasterBuns · 10/04/2020 13:14

Hi, I am back, not been on for a few days as the diet went out the window but just completed three good days so hopefully that will continue. Just had healthy lunch and about to go our for a walk.
Only problem is I have lost just over a stone this year and now my bras don’t fit. Normally I go into bravissimo as I am a larger size and they know exactly what size and style will be comfy. Not looking forward to the lottery of measuring myself and ordering online.

NothingIsWrong · 10/04/2020 14:42

Another good day so far here - didn't fancy breakfast, had a banana mid morning and a cheese and ham sandwich for lunch. Then took two children on a bike ride which ended up being 13km, so I've now managed to burn off more calories than I have eaten today so far. Not even hungry which is weird but means I can indulge in a couple of G&T's this evening without feeling guilty.

supercee · 10/04/2020 14:49

I had 2 glasses of red last night. The fact I didn't finish the bottle was a mini victory in itself so not going to stress about that.

Today:
Oat milk latte.
Avocado and tomato on sourdough.
Scrambled eggs and 2 veggie sausages.
Dinner will be roasted veg couscous and salad. Will try and refrain from the wine!

Pickles89 · 10/04/2020 14:58

Mango smoothie for breakfast, cold new potato salad with sweetcorn, cucumber, spring onions and basil for lunch, with a side of lettuce (let's pretend I didn't have a tablespoon of mayo to help it down...) I did walk the dog for about an hour this am though. So 'Could try harder!' but not 'Disgraceful!' on my report card so far today.

Pickles89 · 10/04/2020 15:01

@EasterBuns Good for you! If I fall off the wagon I know I'm screwed as I have no willpower to haul myself up again! I just hope and pray that I can stick at it. There's a cupboard full of Eastery chocolate cakes which isn't ideal!

rootsonshow · 10/04/2020 19:02

Well, another day almost done. I am feeling quite good about it now but dont want to get too cocky too soon.

Duckduckgosling · 10/04/2020 19:14

Day 11- I feel really bloated this week for some reason.

B: pear & a yogurt
L: shakahuka - if you haven't tried this you should, it's soooo good and fills you up for hours.
D: chicken salad with new potatoes.

Managed to fit in a long walk today too

raisydenton · 10/04/2020 20:01

First day I have veered off course with a half a sausage, creme egg and a mini lemon cheesecake! I know these transgressions got me here In the first places so I am back in the wagon.

Still feel ok and can reduce it tomorrow and hope the Easter bunny has taken the creme eggs back!

Tomorrow-
B All bran and fruit
L houmous -veg crudités-sandwich thin -fruit
T bbq Bratwurst and potato salad yoghurt

Bratwurst not my choice but fine and will look for a German potato salad recipe.

HotCrossBungle · 10/04/2020 20:55

Not the best day but it is Good Friday so not going to be too hard on myself. Easter baking today with DC and have had 2 biscuits and 2 fairy cakes. Should have stuck to 1 of each but old habits die hard.

Also had 2 beers as well but stopped there which is massive for me. I'm not a daily or even weekly drinker but when I'm having a drink I'm having a drink and it always results in over eating. Not going to pat myself on the back just yet, got the rest of the holiday weekend to get through first.

LuckyKitty13 · 11/04/2020 07:37

Hi please can I join. I starter another thread but no replies so thought I'd slink on over here!
I'm breastfeeding my 12 month old so dont want to be too dramatic with the dieting. Aiming for 3 meals, no sugar, no snacking. And reducing portion size if possible. I think mostly I eat healthy food, but just too much. And too much toast!
Starting weight 11st 5... heaviest I've ever been. Goal is 10 st, but will settle for 10 st 5. I'm 5ft 6. My BMI is now overweight which is very motivating!!

Yesterdays food:
B yoghurt and a banana
L left over dahl, jacket potato and salad
D 3 crackers, cheese, and a large tomato.
S 2 slices homemade paprika bread and butter (my husband made it and brought me a slice... must resist it!!!)
Drinks are tea and water. I'm teetotal.

Today I've eaten:
B 3(gulp!) Slices of homemade toast and marmite, and some mango
Planning on:
L vegetable soup with homemade potato peel crisps.
D omelette or cheese tomato crackers again

I know I know, 3 slices are too many... I dont know how to stop eating toast! I'm now in the bath and feeling way too full.

Exercise will be gardening. We have a large garden that I let go last year when the baby was small. Digging and weeding here we come!

NothingIsWrong · 11/04/2020 08:06

Feeling really bloated here - not sure why but it's annoying me. I'm hungry but don't really want to eat as I think it will cause pain.

Generally doing OK, my weight has plateaued at about 9lbs below start of lockdown - going to need a good couple of days to kick start it again.

Today is the day I'm going to try and run again, I've had a knee injury for a couple of weeks which has limited me to walking...

LaneBoy · 11/04/2020 08:12

Morning Lockdown Losers :)

I resisted the urge to have a snack last night. I was so sleepy which helped. I’m a bit sad/low the last few days though and that’s definitely making me crave junk food.

supercee · 11/04/2020 08:17

Caved last night and had a bottle of red, a packet of mini eggs and 2 bits of sourdough and butter Angry. Very annoyed with myself.

Only reason I didn't demolish the main Easter egg is because I pushed the box to the back of my wardrobe when I got the mini eggs out and then I couldn't reach it 😂.

Changedname78 · 11/04/2020 08:36

I have cut calories all week, no alcohol, no snacking except two under 100 cals snacks a day, no take always etc and still not even a lb gone 😔

catinb0oots · 11/04/2020 08:54

@changedname I get this all the time. My body seems to 'hang on' to weight for a couple of weeks before I get a woosh. It's very disheartening and I always tend to give up. Not this time though Smile

catinb0oots · 11/04/2020 08:56

The Whoosh Effect

Changedname78 · 11/04/2020 08:57

@catinb0oots thank you!! Needed to hear that, I’ll keep going. Good luck

FthisS · 11/04/2020 10:01

Can I join in please? You are all doing amazing, it's just the motivation I need. I've gained 3 stone since last summer. I need to get back into my size 10 clothes because I can't afford to buy anything new. I'm doing what works best for me and that is going for it hard core. 800cals a day tops in just one meal a day with a glass of cashew milk for bed. I'm vegan and don't drink alcohol but have gone crap on how much water I drink so aiming for 3 litres a day. I don't have scales so I'm going by clothes. Day 3 is today and this is my food so far.
Day 1- Red lentil dhaal homemade with half an iceland vegan naan bread.
Day 2 - Red lentil dhaal with boiled rice.
Day 3 - Red lentil Dhaal with roasted cauliflower (I've never roasted cauliflower before but I can imagine it's nicer that plain boiled.

catinb0oots · 11/04/2020 11:39

@FthisS I always try to do OMAD but I usually end up having a salad at about 2pm as I get ravenous after my exercise.

Have just been for a very warm dog walk/run. Going to do a quick weight workout then weed the front garden.

Food today is a bbq this afternoon - steak, burgers (no bun for me), roasted med veg with feta, grilled halloumi, salad and Diet Coke!!!! Can't wait.

Hope you all have a fab Easter weekend at home my lovely Lockdown Losers Smile

NothingIsWrong · 11/04/2020 13:01

I've had two poached eggs on toast and an apple for breakfast, a cinnamon and raisin bagel with butter on for lunch. In between I did a fitness blender core workout and a 5 mile walk with middle child. Leaves me with 780 calories for tea. I suspect we may have Dominos, but with three locust like children it's easy to just have a couple of slices so I should be OK for today.

I deffo haven't been drinking enough water though as things are ahem not moving as they should be... will need to up my water to get things moving I think!
