I’m on day 4 of giving up chocolate and crisps. So far it’s going well. Lockdown is definitely helping, no nipping to the shop to get snacks or sandwiches. I’ve lost 1.3kg this first week. I’m cooking everyday and eating healthy food.

I’m hoping to continue after lockdown too. Must lose weight, my starting weight was 172.6kg. My goal weight is 90kg. Hopefully going to Disney once I’ve lost the weight, that’s my reward.

Anyone Want to join me? What’s your goal and is lock down helping you?

I’ve lost 1.7kg this week. Which means I’ve lost a total of 5kg now woo. Which is 10.7 pounds.

Well done both!!

3 on for me which is almost completely impossible because my calories and exercise have been exemplary this week so will just assume it’s going to sort itself out next wee :)

Pickles89 · 04/05/2020 15:59

@Duckduckgosling @wombatsandaplant

That's amazing, you're doing so well!!

buckeejit · 04/05/2020 17:25

Wow that's brilliant, well done!

I'm afraid i drank too much wine last night & ate junk resulting in feeling crap today & no exercise & not great food, not awful though - eggs & toast rather than an omelette & a choc biscuit. Still I'm back on trying to do better & will have to ration my weekends better. Just still feel meh from staying up late & too much wine.

Have to make a big chilli for tea & aim not to finish what was left of last nights wine Hmm

myfuckingfreezer · 04/05/2020 17:38

Weigh in week....( have lost count - loosing since Xmas)

Loss - 1 pound Hmm
Total - 40pounds or 2 stone 12 pounds

Pickles89 · 04/05/2020 18:58

Nothing to roll your eyes at freezer, a loss is a loss! You're doing fantastic sticking at it so well.

Pickles89 · 04/05/2020 19:00

I know what you mean @buckeejit, I ate way too much yesterday! We can do it when we B&Q it!

Pickles89 · 04/05/2020 22:58

Today:

Breakfast: Glass of orange and mango juice - 100
Lunch: Wrap with mayo, spinach and basil - 300
Snack: Air popped corn - 100
Dinner: Pasta - 300
Peas - 100
Houmous - 150
Green salad - negligible
Banana - 100
Yoghurt - 100
Brownie bites - 100

Total: 1350

That's ok, I spent over an hour in the sea today, did a bit of dancing, and did a Joe Wicks workout.

lovinglavidaloca · 05/05/2020 15:20

B - Cadbury brunch bar
L - leftover chilli in a wrap with cheese
D - sesame chicken
S - 12g bag of popcorn

I’m going to be over today I think but only by 100 or so and I was under by more than that yesterday so all good! Tonight’s dinner is very high in calories apparently.

Pickles89 · 05/05/2020 22:27

Today:

Breakfast: Half a glass of green smoothie - 50
Lunch 2 x packet of Twiglets - 200
Snack: Celery - negligible
Dinner: Chili with cauliflower and rice - 400
Banana - 100
Yoghurt - 100
Brownie bites - 150

Total: 1000. I wish I'd had more earlier now! I'll probably have a midnight snack of strawberries or a pear. I've had a walk, a skip and a workout today, but been very sedentary in between.

wombatsandaplant · 06/05/2020 14:47

I seem to be weighing myself most days but I don’t mind, I just get nosy.

I’ve lost just over 5kg now. How’s everyone else doing?

I seem to have got into the habit of having three meals a day and one small pudding. No snacking apart from the odd baby bel or crumpet if I get hungry between meals, but that is like once a week. I’ve never done this well on weight loss before. I don’t miss crisps. It’s like 6 weeks without crisps now. I’m still eating chocolate but only a small amount for pudding some days, some days I have a small amount of cake, depends what we have in.

That’s great Wombats. I think it does get easier once you kick the habits!

Pickles89 · 06/05/2020 19:18

I seem to be having a bit of an unplanned 'cheat day' today! I spent an hour in the sea, having skipped breakfast and lunch, but afterwards the village pizza van called out to me! I ate half a blooming 12incher!! To be fair the crust was so thin it was barely there, but it was absolutely dripping in goats cheese... Still, I had self control and put the other half in the fridge for another day, and will try and have a low calorie/healthy dinner.

lovinglavidaloca · 06/05/2020 20:17

Village pizza van?!?!?! WHAT?! Wherever you live - I’m moving there.

Had my high calorie dinner I was meant to have last night but a really small portion so have 100 calories left for a snack.

Pickles89 · 06/05/2020 23:35

@lovinglavidaloca

It rocked up for the first time today! Apparently it's normally based at the campsite but obviously that's shut, so it's doing its thing in the village. Could be bad news for my diet!! It was a proper lush pizza. No idea how many calories, I'm going to guess at around 1000 though. Ooops!

Dinner: 2 heck sausages - 100
Grilled mushrooms - 50
Fat-steamed courgettes - 200
Pear - 100

Haven't had it yet but am going to before bed, slice of cake - 150

So Total 1600. Oh dear oh dear, not ideal! I didn't do any skipping either, but I did do Joe Wicks.

Ah well, tomorrow is another day!

LaneBoy · 06/05/2020 23:48

Mmm pizza

Not doing well eating wise still. Exercise is getting better though

rivierliedje · 07/05/2020 08:00

I'm doing more exercise (cycling to work while the weather is nice and the roads quiet), walking every day, averaging about 13000 steps, doing swims in the sea about once a fortnight and running two to three times a week. But nothing doing, nothing is changing.
I know it is food related. I am eating more than I need clearly, but I'm having trouble changing it.

Pickles89 · 07/05/2020 08:36

@rivierliedje

You're probably getting fitter! I've only actually lost 3 pounds, but I did Joe Wicks' fitness challenge and the difference in 3 weeks is amazing. That's got to be a good thing, even if the jeans still won't do up!

LaneBoy · 07/05/2020 09:35

I’m trying to see it that way too. I know I’m struggling more with eating ATM but I’m definitely getting my strength and fitness up which is good, and long term will be better for losing weight surely?

I just went to town to pick up meds and a bit of shopping, being thirsty I got some water but decided to get a 1.5l bottle - I’m going to reuse and try and drink two a day. I’ll keep track better that way. I love water but I’m so forgetful!

rivierliedje · 07/05/2020 16:36

Thanks. That is probably true, the hills do seem to be getting less difficult while cycling.

Maria53 · 07/05/2020 17:45

Ugh I dont seem to be making much progress.

I've went from 12 st 7.8lbs this time last week to 12st 8.4 today Sad

I didnt do much for about 3 days last week as I had a very heavy period - I am being investigated for endo.

But after nearly a month I thought I would have made more progress? Cut most bread, all pasta, still have some rice but brown.

All I can think is I am still too sedentary (maybe 40 mins exercise per day, 6 days a week). Taking milk in coffees when I always had black before. Anywhere else I might be falling down?

I do notice a difference because my bra is fitting much better & that extra roll of fat that is usually under the bra is mainly gone now. I dont think it's all in my head.

lovinglavidaloca · 07/05/2020 18:16

@Maria53 have you used online calculators to make sure you have at least a 500 calories deficit each day?

Pickles89 · 07/05/2020 18:22

@Maria53

I'm actually in the same boat! Sunday is my weigh day but I did hope on today to see how things were progressing, and I'm back to my starting weight! How is that even possible when I'm eating the 'right' amount of calories, have cut down on carbs and have upped my exercise? Like you I'm sitting around a lot too, but then if I did more I'd be hungrier, and I'm already struggling, lying awake at night with a rumble! Also, my boobs have definitely shrunk.

The only thing is I guess it could be muscle, which supposedly weighs heavier than fat?

Maria53 · 07/05/2020 18:22

lovinglavidaloca - I am using MFP. It says i have to consume no more than 1,390 cals per day to lose 1lb a week. I was fine at first but struggling with this now.

I've been up to 1400-1500 the last few days. I find I'm quite hungry if I go below this but maybe I just need to accept that?

Maria53 · 07/05/2020 18:26

I'm doing yoga every day but not enough to have built much muscle yet I dont think. Some HIIT but not enough probably.

I like diet Pepsi a lot and I heard some people fall down with this? I bought mint which I have been drinking in my water last couple of days.

Annoying isnt it Pickles89? I'm sure we are not just imagining these changes in our bodies! I've definitely lost weight off my back.
