I’m on day 4 of giving up chocolate and crisps. So far it’s going well. Lockdown is definitely helping, no nipping to the shop to get snacks or sandwiches. I’ve lost 1.3kg this first week. I’m cooking everyday and eating healthy food.

I’m hoping to continue after lockdown too. Must lose weight, my starting weight was 172.6kg. My goal weight is 90kg. Hopefully going to Disney once I’ve lost the weight, that’s my reward.

Anyone Want to join me? What’s your goal and is lock down helping you?

@foodandwine89 have you done one of the calculators to work out how many calories you should eat? If you google TDEE calculator you’ll find one.

Thanks @lovinglavidaloca I just checked and it says 2200 calories for maintenance, 1700 calories for weight loss so I'll stick with that. I didn't lose anything for the first 3 weeks and then almost overnight lost 4lbs and have kept them off!

I cannot just diet though as I'd have to restrict food so much, I get too bored if I can't have enough food. So I'd rather exercise and be able to eat a bit more.

Hi all,
I am impressed you managed to lose weight in Lockdown. For my part, I have 6lbs more as I started lockdown stressed and I cooked and baked a lot , plus FaceTime aperitif with friends didn’t help. So I get into my jean yesterday, and weight and of course it is time for me to come back on track. Some support will be very helpful ! I ordered Pickslim products to help substitute snacking with low calories chocolate bars and crisps. I just need to start!

I've tried healthy snacks, eating little and often etc. It doesn't work for me at all because I end up thinking about food all the time. Whereas if I just say 3 meals/day and that's it, don't even thinks about snacks, all off the table, I find it easier to stick with (well, for now...). Although all the diet tips say eat little and often so I'm just an odd ball probably.

Breakfast: Green smoothie - 100
Lunch: houmous with celery - 200
Snack: air popped corn - 100
Dinner: Wrap with guacamole and cheese - 400
Banana - 100
Yoghurt - 100
Cake - 300

  1. That's really good for me. I had a decent dog walk, used my skipping rope and did Joe Wicks.

Pls cna I join? I’m 13 weeks on from a c section which has left me with a mighty shelf and my heaviest ever. I need to go and weigh myself but I would say around 14st at 5ft 1. I need to get down to 9st. In fact, I’d like to aim to be in the best shape of my life by the end of this year. A big goal- why not? I need to be healthy for the son i fought so hard to have.

Have been eating dreadfully for last three months. Finally getting rid of the crap and the booze and started figure 8 fitness today. I do a walk every day but want to start switching it up with a cycle or a run once a week instead on my government constitutional.

Ive had a massive weak moment and eaten 6 chocolate crispy cakes, oops. I did go for a long walk but oops. I’m not gonna let it discourage me, I’m keeping going.

I think a total of 500 calories for breakfast AND lunch is really low! Definitely not mounted up!

My trouble is I like to have a big evening meal, I feel weird and can't sleep for feeling convinced I'm still hungry if I don't. I'd much rather strictly limit my intake during the day but it's hard, especially with doing more exercise!

Already today I've had:

Breakfast: Tropical juice - 100
Lunch: wrap with guacamole and Romano pepper: 300
Half a chocolate Easter nest: 100

And I'm hoping to swim in a bit which will make me starving hungry, I bet I weaken and have a snack after!

Guys what can I have for dinner that has no calories at all but is still really filling?

Same @Pickles89 I can go through most of the day with very little, I'm not massively hungry (usually) but come evening I want to eat a big meal. I've tried eating more substantly throughout the day (thinking it was 'better for me') but I still want to eat the same amount in the evening Confused

Help I am struggling today! Feel starving.

Breakfast- 2 scrambled eggs & 1 veggie sausage
Lunch- minestrone soup & a handful of olives/tomaties/small block cheddar cheese
Snack - small slice of peanut butter toast at half 3 (Felt so hungry at half 3 I had to eat something Shock)

Now I am starving again and have also had heartburn all day. I have 691 cals left to have.

Not sure why I am so hungry. Dominos tried to entice me with a large pizza offer & I am craving McDonalds altho I barely eat them.

Keep going! Lapses don’t mean it’s a lost cause :)

I’ve been hungry today as I made the mistake of having a Dr Pepper this morning and that’s fucked my appetite up.

I’d lost all interest in those drinks for ages and only asked DH to get them a couple of times out of boredom, I need to stop asking as I’ll get hooked again!

I caved and devoured a whole avocado. Better than devouring the dominos pizza I considered ordering!

Took me 22 cals over my limit (1518 cals today). Oh well? Tomorrow's another day.

Those who have slipped a bit, you're not alone!! It's so unfair because I'm really trying to be good, but I'm so hungry! Dinner tonight was:

Rice and veggie burger with a tomato sauce - 600
Lots of green salad - negligable
Banana - 100
Yoghurt - 100
Half a piece of Easter nest - 100

900 stupid calories for one meal! And I only had 2 forms of exercise today - a dog walk, and Joe Wicks. Pretty disappointed.

I've had a really crap two days Sad

I have had the heaviest period this week and I've used it as an opportunity to "go easy" on myself which basically means eating crap.

I've got four days left of this week to pull it back though so I've logged tomorrow's food on MFP and I'm planning on sticking to it.

I am NOT giving up!

Still going strong here even after my mental wobble the other day!

Was under my calories today but had a really creamy pasta for dinner and was concerned I didn’t work the calories out properly so didn’t have anything afterwards to leave a bit of a buffer.

I had a good day but then a disappointing night too! I ate half an easter egg and a creme egg in front of the tv Sad today is a new day and I’m hoping I can pull it back and have even a small loss on Monday

The only way I can resist treats is simply not to have them in the house. I have no willpower otherwise.

I am so hungry today! Had a cereal bar when I got up, a couple of the big caramel snackajacks mid morning then soup for lunch.

Really need to be careful I don’t blow it today. I could eat a horse!

Today I have had:

B- Shredded Wheat, raisins, banana, semi skimmed milk. Cup of tea.

Snack - two slices of chicken from a packet

L - Baked potato, cottage cheese, wafer thin ham, stilton cheese, black pepper. Washed down with a can of diet coke.

D- (will be) Pork chops, roast potatoes, veg, instant gravy, apple sauce, mustard. Diet coke.

Usual story, there's enough calories for some chocolate this evening.

Exercise: Seated warm up, Seated Turbo Exercise, HasFit, the some dance aerobics to finish off.

Breakfast: half a glass of tropical juice - 50
Lunch: 2 chocolate Easter nests (nothing like a healthy balanced diet!) - 350
Snack: Celery - negligible
Dinner: 2 x Falafel, veggie and cheese wraps - 700
Banana - 100
Yoghurt - 100
Chocolate Easter nest - 200

Total: 1500

So more than my upper limit, but I think I've earned it today! I had an hour or more of sploshing about in the sea, followed by an hour of walking up and down along the crumbling cliffs waiting for the tide to go out, because like a numpty I got cut off by the sea, and then I did Joe Wicks this evening.

Just eaten a ham sandwich and a chocolate hobnob. At 1am! Went to bed at 11.30 (not hungry), couldn't sleep, stomach started rumbling at 12.30 and tried to ignore as I've had plenty to eat todau, gave up at 12.45.
Annoying because this wouldn't have happened if I'd been asleep. Our bodies are weird!
